Absolutely, cowards I happen to know someone, who is doing life in prison, because he went to a "cop astablishment that is to say cop's and correction officer's drink there, when out of nowhere this person who shall remain unnamed was not asked but told to leave. Then was subsequently jumped. He fought back stabbing and killing a correction officer who's brother was is a cop. This person who is supposed to be presumed innocent until proven beyond a reasonable doubt guilty, was of course treated like an animal, his family couldn't even go into court due to the fact that the police department was there literally, wearing t-shirts with the c.o's face on them. This person's family is still harassed almost 20 years later. What a system, I mean business. Unfortunately business is booming. All men are created equal, what about woman? Lady justice is blind, not color blind, what a farce a joke.

Just a footnote to that unfortunate, situation. The person who was convicted, stood up after the verdict was announced looked around the court and said, just after sentenced to life in prison said well at least I still have a life the alleged victim is never coming home. It was a very publicized case, news, newspapers the hole 9. Just maybe we should treat people as human beings and not animals, and there would be different outcomes in unfortunate situations

I commend you on your investigation and have subscribed to your channel.. I also am disgusted that any LEO agency would turn a blind eye to officers who blatantly dismiss their oath to serve & protect.....

That has changed after so much public outrage of no accountability, now the investigators into police misconduct are civilians with no connection to police at all, if they are related to, or friends with cops and any of their family members they don't get the job.

Tracy Simmons the reason he will get another job in a small town is that small towns have less money and fewer resources for training officers of any type so they easily accept officers with problematic backgrounds to have the personnel needed. The fired officers needs a new job and the poorer less equipped small towns needs trained officers.

"But Ohh, 99% of cops are good and there are just a handful of bad apples making everyone look bad."
    HA!
No such thing as a good cop if he or she sits by idle, turns a blind eye, or covers for these so called "bad apples". The majority of these so called good cops aren't the solution but are rather a part of the systemic problem. It not only runs rampant at the field level, but also runs right up the chain to the Chiefs and D.A.s and probably even further.
I used to be on the side of law enforcement until I had my own run in where a LEO straight up lied and almost ruined my life. If it had not been for surveillance footage I would've been charged. And this wasn't a simple mistake... this mofo straight up LIED in his report!
Nah... the ratio is more realistically closer to 99% of Cops are corrupt/bad; and the 1% who are decent are too intimidated or snorting some of that "Thin Blue Line" to stop the cycle!

I've got 35 years as a public servant this September first 2018, however our mission statement & oath is to "protect & serve utilizing the color & spirit of the law", I never worked internal affairs division, and I never promoted beyond senior corporal, even though I have 2 bachelor 2 master degrees and 9 months from my PhD w/ 3 dissertations accepted because it took me over 15 years to finish my PhD due to being shot 7 times on duty, and being in the hospital 3 weeks short of a year, the first time I got shot on a traffic stop was in 1993, stuck 3 different times during traffic contacts. But without rhetoric that detention officer is a PEACE OFFICER want-to-be, truth is ,he's not a cop, and he actually wants to be a cop. Because he's that young ,and he did that, to a man about my age 54, I still have 2 nine millimeter projectiles in my L-4, L-5 spine, I guarantee you, this Old man, just like me has lived an extremely hard life in construction. Has he made some mistakes? Maybe, however we cannot judge/condemn him (AS A HUMAN BEING) within the parameters of whatever our God is, he has to go through trial, and still he could be innocent, even after a jury of his peers finds him guilty, even after the fella who attempted to assassinate me with 7 rounds, left me for dead, I still forgave him, and didn't wish lethal injection for him, he was charged with attempted Capital murder of a Peace Officer,I was ostracized when I was asked to teach criminal justice at a college & also at a university, so I had 3 incomes, and 5 kids, but I was never asked to promote, not because of my formal education, but because a year and a half later, I made the arrest on the individual who attempted to assassinate me, and there wasn't even a scuffle, but I later learned (I'm still a public servant until my youngest twins finish law school in 2 years) from a retired cop ,who was in 5 years younger than me, that most of my peers ,were angry that the shooter didn't receive appropriate TEXAS justice for what he did, this applies ,when I see that extremely young jailer ,with the young peace officer behind him ,not doing anything except staying out of his way. I can assure you that that extremely young jailer/detention officer has no business being a Peace officer, because one must have empathy for another human being, before he is given the keys to the kingdom, and truly the boy shouldn't even be a jailer, because this sort of activity does not exist unless it's tolerated by the executive administration. You're doing him a favor, and keeping him out of prison by firing him immediately, God help us ,if he actually passes the peace officer academy ; administers his own type of justice with his assigned service sidearm.
