This is exactly what I was looking for. Why they did not include a video on Amazon (that's where I bought mine too) is beyond me, should have gone without saying. Fortunately and unfortunately, I am not a seasoned glucometer user (first timer), so this video was incredibly helpful and appreciated.

Great informative review on the product. I just received my monitor kit yesterday from Amazon, it came next day delivery with no fee, using Prime... on a Sunday! I've been using the Free Style Lite for a few months and wanted something less expensive. I've taken 2 readings using both devices (last night and this morning), my numbers were off by 3 last night, and off by 1 this morning. In my opinion, it is VERY reliable, and it will save me half the money I've been spending per month! (That's with insurance covering 2/3 of the FreeStyle and full cost of the CareTouch).
Did you have to get a DR prescription for the Care Touch?

Solid video...got mine a few days ago. How is A1c derived? Is it based off glucose levels? My point is...if one is averaging around 100 with these meters, how does that correspond with the A1c?

my lancet device depth thing seems off....like its not propelled far enough to come out of the hole, is this normal? even at 10 it sometimes and sometimes doesnt want to work...

My care touch gluco meter is showing 23 mg and then when I will press "C" button for one more time it's show 75 mg. Is my machine works properly?

This morning mine showed 120mg/dl and I am not a diabetic nor did I eat this morning. Just coffee with whole milk and collagen powder. Can coffee + whole milk + collagen spike an insulin response?
Not an expert but you may want to research dawn phenomenon, too much protein, stress, too much exercise and other things that can spike besides carbs. again im not an expert so i don't really know the answer to your question but it is not always what you eat.
Black coffee will not, milk and collagen will.

Can not find test strips for this CareTouch meter. Their customer service 800 number does not answer.

I bought and it doesn't work I have ask for help and there's no one that can help plus you can't return back and get your refund they said it can't be return
I bought this and do not suggest it to anyone. It is very tempermental and you cant get enough blood to get a reading without squeezing the heck out of your finger. Mine is boxed up to go back
Do you have any suggestions for a reasonably priced kit?
It is a really bad product. I have had it for three months and want to throw it away. Unreliable readings with a consistent range of 7-11 points above other meters and high standard deviation within same blood drop. Some times measurements can be off high by 20 points with respect to other meters. Plenty of Amazon customers havind same experience. I want to use Relion or other more established brand, preferably American because these Chinese brands lack quality control and customer service
Had mine for about a month. It’s extremely unreliable my average read on my other device is 99-120 this one tend to be 100 off. But today it’s reading 508. It’s never been pass 120. So I pulled out my home monitor (care was going to be my travel monitor) and sure enough I’m in my normal range. This is a piece of junk and can’t be trusted.
