Hi, Thanks for the video. I have one question. When I get up in the morning and do my test should I set the meter to GEN or am I supposed to use another setting?

Yes, you can, the USB cable is not included. The windows based software, "Health Care Software System" is available for download on Metene's website.
On the monitor..there are 3 options for monitoring Gen, AC, and PC, which option should I used. So far I've tried the Gen and AC. The AC reads about 3 -4 points lower than the Gen.
Those are optional tags that indicate whether you are fasted or fed. The gen is for a general glucose reading regardless of meals, AC indicates you are taking a reading before a meal and PC indicates you are taking a reading after a meal. Basically, a useful reference when you are review your historical readings.

@@learnbloodsugartestinghow come I get two completely different readings from general and PC or AC with the same prick of finger. For example, if I wake up and check my levels I use AC (before a meal ) and I get 65mg …. Then I used immediately after with a new test strip on general and got 100 .
It looks like the meter turns on when you insert the test strip...mine does not turn on. If I push the "M" button the blue light flashes along with the lancet indicator if I push the "M" button, it turns off completely. I think the settings are correct according to your video. I'm a little confused. The chk does not come on or the little droplet of blood indicator.
Make sure the test strip is in the top slot, not the bottom!

What is the USB slot at bottom used for? Pulling data from the device?
Correct, it is for downloading the data to a pc.

My set button is not responding or beeping
Sorry but how do you change it from mg/dl to mmol/l
The Metene TD-4116 is preset, it does not allow you to change the units it measures in.

how do you check ketones ?
This meter does not check ketones, you have to purchase a separate ketone meter and ketone test strips.

No, this meter doesn't measure ketones.
I’m so frustrated with this, two days in a row I get a reading of 22. That can’t be right. What am I doing wrong?
Have you try using control solution to ensure the meter and strips are working properly?

I only get "LO". What is that mean?
Lo indicates your blood sugar is extremely low, if you feel that is incorrect you may want to use control solution to ensure the meter is functioning correctly.
How do you set the year if it says 2018? suddenly it went to 2027. thanks but your too fast and quiet.
I cannot for the life of me get a reading on the meter. Followed all the instructions, do the blood, but never gets a reading

That indicates you are accessing the memory, continue to push the 'M' button until the meter powers off.

You move to fast! The set button is very hard to press and by that time, YOU have moved on

The volume on this video is so low that I cannot hear it. Plus you are talking too fast. Not helpful at all.
