If you can get a patient to feel like they have a degree of control over their medical condition you have done a great service for them.

โ€‹@@marwansal4175 No, I lost the 50 lbs in 4 months.(I never counted calories and never felt deprived of food. It took me 30 days to wean myself from sugar and another 30 days to wean myself from processed foods. I was almost completely immobile for the first two months because of broken foot, heel bone and fractured vertebrae. I would love to get myself to the point where I can work out but I'll settle for getting to the point of being able to walk for more than 10 minutes. I'm seriously considering a plant based diet for three months. My only hesitation is dealing with the inflammation I get from some vegetables. I know I can get healthy fats from avocado oil, etc.

You don't need any meds if you change your diet and do intermittent fasting. A good A1C is between 4.8 and 5.1 eliminate all sugar from diet and keep carbs below 60 grams a day. I tested 5.7 3 weeks ago . That sucks. It's not good. Forget 6.0 shoot for 5.1

My A1C was hovering in the high 6's to low 7's for many years. My Dr warned me I needed to take control of my diet and start to exercise or I would need to go on medicine for it. I ignored him because it was hovering there for years without change. Then it suddenly jumped to 10.1 and I was put on insulin and metformin. I guess that was the wake up call I needed to kick my butt into action. I went on a ketogenic diet and started walking at least a half hour a day, usually closer to an hour a day, and I've been doing some light weight training.. I also have dropped 50 lbs. My A1C is now down to 5.6 and at 64 yrs old, I'm in the best shape of my life. I wish I had done this years ago, but better late then never.

I brought my a1c from 12.1 down to a consistent 6.4 without using any diabetes meds. I was started on them but through google university I researched my butt off and found I was not willing to deal with the negative effects of metformin and I had an allergic reaction to the stronger med they gave me. I achieved this through diet by adopting the Keto way of eating and I dont follow it strictly but follow it pretty strongly.

Congrats! Same here. Just received new A1c today at 3 month keto mark. Down from 11.5 to 6.1 in 3 months. No meds, though Trulicity was prescribed. I did not take it. Metformin increases liver enzymes - cannot take it. Tried Metformin earlier in life (30 years ago) for different condition. Had to go off it very quickly - doc was talking liver transplant!!! It must have been bad but has not recurred since then. Liver enzymes always normal.
An earlier doctor started me on Januvia once. It gave me a headache the next day that did not cease until 2 days after discontinuing it. Only took it 3 days. Worst 5 days of my life. Never had a headache in my entire left before or after that. Never again! I think Januvia has been removed from market due to side effects. So I try to find non-drug solutions where available. Keto works. And reading the info sheet in the Trulicity package, it messes with every organ in the body that the diabetes hasn't already messed up. No way! Still my doc sings its praises and wants me to take it for weight loss even though not needed for diabetes any longer. Will not do it.

      Aitrogenesis (clinician induced)
It kills more people a year than their diseases do according to queens hospital London surgeon general.
So glad you used intellect and got the information available to reverse your diabetes T2 as your HCAB1 is below seven nicely... So your not diabetic any longer and you kept your liver.
      All with diet..
Well doneโ€‹ man, most are lead astray by the white jacket and credentials, yet doctors usually never reverse a single case of diabetes in their entire career.
So your clearly well smart to get rid of diabetes T2 so quickly.

Itโ€™s cost prohibitive. My suggestion for doctors, is to have some type of a print-out for the condition the patient has, with his recommendations, so that they can read it on their own time and I have that I have a Doctor In the doctorโ€™s office.

Doctor put me on 500 mg metformin 2X a day, Rebelsus once in the morning and 30mg Pioglitazone once a day. In addition I did the following: a tbsp of Extra virgin olive oil EVERY morning (for 3 months), a glass of apple cider vinegar with water b4 every dinner (for the last 5 weeks b4 next A1C test), and 1 clove of garlic b4 bedtime (about 2 months b4 next test). Once again my initial A1C was 12.6 I just received my A1C result today (August 1) and it was down to 5.6-inside NORMAL levels. Thank you for your advice. People, it took me 3 months to get my A1C back to normal..Take these steps and it can happen to you too. Also, I consumed ZERO sugar during this entire time. Had Salmon twice a week, started eating scallops once a week and many chicken dishes with SUGAR FREE stir fry sauce. I even indulged in an Islands hamburger once a week for lunch (wheat bun and a side salad, NO FRIES). 1 to 2 pieces of fruit a day and 3 times a week i had greek yogurt with blueberries for breakfast...Switched out to sourdought bread as well. If I could do it, anybody can. Oh yeah, in 2020 i weighed 238 lbs. On April 11, at the hospital i weighed 209...Today I am down to about 188. My AVERAGE blood sugar count on my last test was 114

I was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic at age of 26. Told I 'might' see my 35th birthday. I asked my PCP how aggressively we could treat my case. I'm 79 years old and since we began checking A1c several years ago, they have been between 6.o% and 6.6%. I have occasional low glucose readings once or twice a month. Overall, I believe I'm alive today because of having 6 meals a day with testing before each meal. Iโ€™ve discovered that metabolism changes throughout the day. I count carbs for each meal and calculate my Lispro dosage based on Carbs with a variable metabolism factor. I keep written records extensively, and am using a Dexcom G6 CGM. I also take 18 units of Lantis every 12 hours. Sort of like piloting a Jumbo Jet through a hurricane manually without instruments. However, taking the leadership of my medical team was, and is what has kept me going all this tme. When my time comes, I expect to die of old age. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Sir, you have given sufficient light in this matter. It's always safe that our body doesn't go the stage of hypoglycemia. If so, a1c test even if it shows 6% is not safe. In diabetes, educating the patient is the most desirable steps. Very useful videos you are presenting. ๐Ÿ‘

My A1C had always been 6.0 or 6.1. I took 2 capsules of cinnamon in the morning and another two at night. Since that much cinnamon can damage the liver, I took the same dosage of milk thistle. Since our livers are assaulted by all kind of toxins, such as air pollution and many other things, everyone should take milk thistle. Anyway, I had a scheduled blood test 3 weeks later. It was 5.4. I reduced the dosages of both by half. Every test since then has remained around 5.2.

Doc good day. Im actually having stick testing every 6 in the morning. Last March it was still okay...the average was 6.25 by April I was notgiven anymore medication by my doctor. He told me to stop taking glicazlide because my kidney is getting worse. He prescribed insulin for me but with the instruction that I would monitor my blood sugar everyday. If it does not spike even without medication I would not buy the insulin. I noticed that my blood sugar is fluctuating. There are days that I got below 7 but now I got 7.25 average. Do I need an insulin? Without medication my blood sugar was only up to 7.5

Have been watching your videos voraciously and they have really helped my understanding of my Type 2. I had a diagnosis about 20 years ago when my A1C was around 7. Iโ€™m 6โ€™4โ€ and weighed 210. I immediately lost 10 lbs and dropped my A1C to 5..7 . Over the last 10 years my A1C has averaged around 5, but my blood sugar when taken is rarely below 120. About 4 years ago, my endocrinologist prescribed Farciga on top of my Kombiglyze. I immediately dropped another 13 lbs. and now average around 174 lbs. My doc has been unable to understand how my A1C remains so low, but my blood sugar remains relatively high. They did hook me up to Libre for 2 weeks, but the results were inconclusive. They also ran a frucostamine as well, but that yielded no conclusions as well. I have neuropathy in my feet and very frequent urination, so I do have the symptoms of Type 2. Northern European ancestry, so no sickle cell in background. My doc remains stumped, but as my A1C is so reliably low, he seems unconcerned. I try to eat healthy, but I pretty much eat what I want, although in moderation, but I continue to lose weight. Two of my brothers and my father (96 years old), have type 2, but my brothers were both overweight. Any thoughts as I remain concerned. Again, thank you very much for your CZcams channel!

My highest a1c was 6.1 now it is 5.5 been on keto, no sugar, no unhealthy fats and no grains lots of vegies berries 3x per week and medium fat and protein. lost 50 lbs feel great A1C down, Triglycerides low. You should strive getting your fasting blood sugar somewhere between 4-6 mmols/L. 9 mmols/L is much too high. A HA1c betwen 4.5 - 6% is considered good. Both numbers are in the range of healthy persons. Look at your diet, your weight, your workout regiment and complement with medicines if necessary. Don't give up.
