A painful story from both sides. I’m actually glad they tell her side of the story, because she was also a victim of the circumstances. I hope they do their stories justice and don’t pretend Tchaikovsky was straight.

How can I watch this film?
This story is about a woman who didn't know that a man could sleep with men. That story is about Russia of that time. Why don't they want to see how she suffers? These "kicks" from the outside that she's not a real woman because her husband doesn't sleep with her. She's "not like that" since he doesn't want her. To accept the fact that you are not interesting not only as a mistress, but also as a person. That you're just a screen. You're annoying the person you love. These humiliations are in the highest light. At home. Within the family. It's not about Tchaikovsky (not without him, of course). It's about his wife. About her feelings. About her broken life.

Сразу бросается в глаза дешёвый грим, топорно приклееные бороды и бакенбарды + плохие актёры (мимика, речь - мрак) Всё это разрушает магию 😢

His wife's point of view is certainly interesting and painful, but still, in 2022 Russia is making a movie about Tchaikovsky's life without explicitly talking about his homosexuality, doing everything they can to include other themes and other characters that could distract the audience from that. Incredible.
