How To Change The Oil And Filter On A Honda XR650L.
I used Honda 10w40 GN4 oil (2.6 liters) and a factory Honda Oil Filter.
The tools you will need are a 8,10, 12 and 17mm sockets and a 17mm wrench.

i would recommend 5-40 t-6 rotella full synthetic motor oil. it will never let you down.

All in all quite helpful. But, no mention of either “O” ring - screen and filter. Oil looked really black and sludgy, how long had it been in?

That was the oil in it when I bought it, the last owner said it was done a few hundred km ago but looking at it I doubt it, so now I am on my own oil change schedule
