Such a helpful video! I love that you create modeling videos for both men and women, and seeing the success of models of color puts the icing on the cake! Please make a video on model clothing/accessories staples and a video on how to prepare (body, skin, etc.) for a booking.

When younger, I was always told to give basic modelling a try b/c of my true, unique, rare features: redhead, blue eyes, medium height (long legs) & very photogenic. Always laughed and said no b/c redheads were not popular "back in the day" (mid '80's & early '90's). Hated my hair, constant uneasiness- always longed to "fit-in" - to be blonde or brunette (didn't even know another redhead-- amongst friends, in school or even in my own family!) Guess what!?! I think my time has finally come- I now "fit-in." These days, EVERYONE wants to be a redhead, but not many even come close to my true red color! Hence, I am unique and rare once again! (& again, being told to try modelling)

I want to submit photos to local agencies that I think I would fit but I’m just a little self conscious. How do I overcome this? And, I know I have what it takes to become a male model. I’ve practiced a lot but I’ve never done an actual photo shoot. What should I do before I jump the gun and ruin my chances with these agencies? What can I do to make sure that I will do good during the interview and possibly during my first photo shoot?

What kind of modeling do you do? Fashion, clothing, pinup, bikini? There are a ton of different styles of modeling and I have fund being an artist that not all women make for great models no matter how much they get in front of a camera. Also can be said of a photographer. Just because you can buy fancy cameras and have a nice studio and take photos that doesn't make you a photographer. I take photos of women to use for my artwork but i am not a photographer. I just know what works in my drawings.

Do you know if QuickBook is an actual modeling agency? Because they asked me to sign with them. But they also asked me for a $250 fee for insurance and web, I just don’t want to be scammed. I’m doing a shoot for another person and they didn’t ask for any money and they are coming to where I am. So I’m just curious if maybe QuickBook is a scam?
Fresh Pepper thanks a lot for the reply! I also had another incident. This person messaged me on Instagram asking me to model for them, so I said okay give me more information. They gave me some more information and gave my the address & times of the shoot. So at first it all sounded okay, they were coming to me. They were offering to pay me $250 upfront to make sure I showed up. The man emailed me pictures of a check and then asked me to go print them out via it into my mobile bank app. So I did. He gave me $950 and asked me to go use $500 on 5 Steam cards with each $100 for my stylist. By then I was questioning whether or not he was for real, I confronted him saying “I’m sorry, but if you were part of a real agency you wouldn’t be paying me this way or asking me to buy Steam cards for my “stylist” and scratch and send you pictures of them” at this point I’m a little frustrated. He told me the reason why I am doing all of this is because I’m “lead cast” and because it’s “my shoot” so he isn’t making me do all of this to make sure I show up. I’m not sure what to do. I’m sorry for all the questions, but I just want advice from someone who really knows.
@@kaylamunn9073 that’s a scam too. No legitimate agency asks you for upfront costs like the ones you’re describing. You also shouldn’t be paying in Steam gift cards; very sketchy. Hopefully you didn’t fall for this.

It sounds scammy, never heard of Quickbook. Agencies don’t ask you to pay upfront fees for representation
