- The Royal Marine Riders held a charity bike meet at Victoria Park in Arbroath. The weather was good, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 was looking splendid and off I went to my very first bike meet. There were almost 500 bikes in attendance along with a few stalls. You can find more information on the Royal Marine Rider Facebook page.

Good morning Alex. How unexpected.... Fast busy roads and a bike meet too. I didn't realise there was a petrol warning light... Still, you got the opportunity to have a bit of a grumble about wasted millions 🤣🤣

Evening Alex, Certainly was a good show of bikes which turned up for that meet, and I think you must have got your daily steps in walking up and down all the bikes which were parked up. Always good to see a big bike meet, And now you know when the fuel light comes on how many miles you can get without running out, which is good piece of info to know for future low fuel situations. Hello Joe, it was indeed a busy place, good few trikes were in attendance as well, just shows how many bikes are around. I kind of knew there is plenty in the tank when the lights come on. The tank holds 13L and normally when the light comes on it will take around 8/9 litres to fill up so there was at least 4L left giving plenty range.
Morning Al, that looked a decent turn out there with plenty of bikes to look at. I do hope there was a compulsory burger chucked in there somewhere off camera? 😂
I want to have a ride up to Poole bike night one week, that gets thousands of bikes there. They close the whole quayside off for it.

Morning Nige, I think they were expecting a few hundred more but it was still a decent turnout. Nah, I hate queues and there was a bumper one there so I passed and the good news the rain stayed out at sea. Oh bad news hot off press, I have a new camera woe 🤮the same one that caused the previous one to need replaced grrrrr

We use to have a lot of bike meets near me. One by one they went away due to sport bike riders racing away and crashing trying to show off. We still have Harley bike nights which is good, but no variety anymore. No vintage bike shows and 1 British show a year.
Aww that a real pity, there were a few Harleys at this bike meet and only four or five Royal Enfields. the rest seemed to be the more modern bike types.
Hi Alex, was good to see you and have a chat, a good turnout of bikes on the night and more importantly they made a decent amount of money for charity. The weather did stay dry although there was an amazing rainbow over the cliffs at one point. Angus Council did try and charge over £200 for the use of a public park which is why those attending were asked for £! parking but they have at least now agreed that they should no longer charge as it is a charity event. The organisers The Royal Marine Riders took Bronze place in this years Veterans Award for the work they do to help others. Their next event is on Sunday 9th June and is the Angus Toy Run. Starts at the Meadowbank Inn on the Montrose road, meet up 1pm and the run starts 2pm. Entry is £5 plus a toy, fancy dress welcomed. I know you don't like group rides so won't expect to see you, if any others in the area are interested they will be welcome, the ride is around 40 miles over back roads at an easy pace and ends up back at Victoria park for the normal meet with food and stalls. As to be expected from the organisers the ride is well organised and marshalled and suitable for learners as well as more experienced riders.
A great update with the info on the group and they do a great job. I will just be back from my holiday in June so certainly won't get the permission from the better half to head out again haha.
Sorry Alex I'm a bit late, been busy editing footage from two cameras and audio from two mics, what a chore 😖 The DJI mics recorded separate tracks whereas the Rode used to combine two in one. Power director doesn't delete all tracks on the timeline, had to do each one individually.
Then I realised you can only trim when you first upload, was left with 30 mins of blackness from the deleted section ( part two). Thanks for taking us along and showing us the bikes, it's always interesting to see what others are riding. Sorry to read about your camera issue, it's a pain when things get broken.
Morning Michael, not had a chance to watch you video yet, probably later tonight but just stick with PowerDirector, you will get there eventually. I have worked a process that I get through multi tracks very quickly so it can be done. The rain stayed away, unlike today and the rest of the week, but there was a decent turnout on the night with lots of variety of bikes. I am going to get the Action 4 but the good news is the Action 3 is under warranty until December so will get it sorted one way or other. A brilliant ride was ruined by the noise from the camera, hey ho that's life eh.
@@blearyview2254 Oh the trials and tribulations if it's not one thing it's another. For some reason I'm getting a click between each clip, I tried adding transitions but they didn't blend both clips, they acted like a separate clip? Still I'll get there eventually when I figure it all out.
Some interesting bikes there. Yours looks excellent - a lot of work went into getting her ready.
I think we need to start telling our elected officials we won't vote for them unless they make the roads better for traffic and they must stop penalising the motorist.
Did you pick up any Arbroath smokies while you were there?
Thank you, there is surprisingly little effort keeping the bike clean, those mud guards work very well. I can go out on my other bikes and they attract dirt like a magnet. The stuff that happened has emboldened those in power, they need to stop the fantasy stuff they come up with. Haha, no Smokies on this occasion but they are excellent.

@@ExMAB4 No worries and no offence taken, just got to respect the Group who do this wonderful work. I used to do a lot of work in Condor when in my BT days and know exactly how they are 😁They always called a spade a spade.
