  • I head out on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 to St Andrews and take you on a short tour of this historic town. This is an all new ride as I take the back roads into the town and around areas that have not featured in any of my other videos. I hope you enjoy.

Hello folks, CZcams seems to be blocking comments. I answer every comment so if I do not reply then it is because YT has hidden them.

Fabulous video Alex, really enjoyed this ride around St Andrews with you. There’s a lot of love around for Royal Enfield’s I was out and about in rural West Wales today and 3 times folks stopped to chat about the Scram! Such a nightmare getting chips on the paintwork especially when it’s a beauty like yours. Look forward to seeing the 360 footage of the cathedral 👍🏻

Evening Dave, thanks for the wonderful feedback👍Yep, the RE is a real magnet, everyday and I mean everyday I am out on the RE folk always stop and chat. I just love the Classic. It seems like it hardly stopped raining since this video, but I will get Cathedral before winter sets in.

Nice little town, and good to see a decent ice cream parlour. I love that wee bike of yours, by far the best colour IMHO

Morning Dave, my wife was there a couple of weeks ago with one of her friends and they had a great time, you are spot on about them enjoying the shops. You can get parked but it probably means a little bit of a walk although you can get lucky.

Good morning Alex. Oo squeaky brakes after that flooded excursion last time. Good to see St Andrews and I agree that it shares some similarities with York. Thanks for taking us around. I wager coffee is very expensive there!

Yeah the unintentional bath left it's mark but will get it sorted. I been busy doing a deep clean on the NT1100 and will sort out the brake shortly. St Andrews is a very expensive area overall due to the golf and university, a flat overlooking the first tee recently went for £1.2m which is mental prices for this part of the world.

I never tire looking at the bike, Royal Enfield hit the mark with the design. Riding the bike in weather such as this is a real joy, just need more good days.

Thanks for this little guided tour of the centre of St Andrews on what seemed like a decent day for it. I got the chance to try the mic you made up for me last weekend, it worked pretty well but perhaps wants a little more shielding from the wind with a dead cat. I stopped at Tullybannocher hoping for some lunch, sadly no hot food only coffee and cake. I did have a good chat with an old fellow about the Rocket and saw an old BSA. I also had a good chat with the owner of a Honda CB1300 Super Four at the side of Loch Earn.

Hi Alex, you managed some good weather there, I normally don't ride throught the town cwnter of St Andrews as I just cut through from the East Neuk en route home. As well as going round the cathedral with your 360 you should also do the castle, especially the coal mine.
If you are looking for Ice cream have you tried the Stewart Tower Dairy between Bankfoot and Murthly. A good run from north of Coupar Angus on the A984, past the Meiklour Beech hedge, over the river on the Kinclaven Bridge to Murthly then towards Bankfoot on an unnumbered road. Nice quiet roads with some single track but little traffic with some good scenery. It does include the only signposted C road I have seen in the area.

Afternoon Jim, I also avoid the town as no real need to head through it but makes a nice video. Good shout with video locations, particularly the Bankfoot route, will check that out.

Thank you for a very nice ride around a beautiful location. I must be some sort of luddite/heretic because I can't tell a good cup of coffee from a bad one but if it's Porkpies then I'm world class expert level🤣🥮

I am pretty sure you would, some taste like they been taken from the River Tay :) Pork pies are something I try to avoid, trying to keep the belly in check haha.

Good morning Alex, You have a lovely day there for the ride out. Some really nice buildings there. I do like the towns such as St Andrews which have all the shops on a street and not undercover such as a shopping centre, much more interesting to me. Did you get a stop at a coffee shope before you went home, looks a great place to sit outside have a coffee and watch the world go by. Certainly enjoyed this one. Cheers

Hello Joe, I did indeed get a coffee but not in St Andrews (the laws says ever bike ride should include a coffee stop 🤣) It is a very popular place, especially when the sun shines.
