- Hi :) I wanted to share what I feed my babies.. I know raw isn't always an option for some people and I wanted to share another way of feeding that ensures that they get the proper nutrients they need♡

I adopted my ferrets they were on Marshall's ferret food and Intune ferret food. I got them on just Intune and Oxbow. I tried raw food they wouldn't eat it. So I decided to try freeze dried they liked it but only if I put it through the food processor and then made it like you a soup I call it as well. I use Primal freeze dried cat or dog diet rabbit, duck, venison, & chicken so far. I've also used North West Naturals freeze dried cat diet rabbit and chicken. If you ever see goats milk in any of the food no worries goats milk has tiny molecules and is easy to digest not like our milk where it's hard to digest with big molecules. Goats milk can be given as an KMR when needed. It's also loaded with probiotics and has lots of vitamins. Treats I also use freeze dried minnows, duck hearts, freeze dried rabbit, chicken, fish and whatever else I find good they can have. 😊

Can you combine all these foods? Or do you have to slowly introduce each food. This video is the ONE and ONLY helpful video for preparing freeze dried raw so thank you 🙏🏽.. I did not know how much water to use to make a soup .. this is so helpful. I’m still transitioning the foster from horrible Marshall’s..
Helpful hint I feed mine freeze dried raw I put it through the food processor and make a big batch and put it in a gallon size baggie. I also keep the little packet that they have in the bag to keep it from getting damp I put it in the baggie with the food. I use a spoon to scoop a couple tablespoons out put it in there bowl mix it with very warm water and they love it!!!! If you go to a small pet store that has primal freeze dried raw sometimes they have a little free sample always ask for one if you can. This way you might be able to try new proteins on them without breaking the bank. A rotational diet is always best because they eat many animals in the wild. 😊
greens does stay in for a while you can use a little bit of dish soap to help get it out :)

Do you feed them this soup once a day and just leave them water throughout the day no food? I’m just wondering because I’m thinking about switching mine they’re only 4 months and I just want them to have the best food and I want to do it now while they’re still young. Thank you!

Do they need all of it? I give my ferrets a mix of wysong and Stella and chewy and then I add some duck soup for extra flavor

One of our 4 ferrets have insulinoma. We put their prednisolone in a spoon with a little salmon oil. Can better judge how much meds he getting.
I measure it out in a syringe and put in in each small bowl for Gnar and Jinx and make sure they finish them so thats how I judge how much they're getting :)
Even though the freeze dried minnows are by Marshall is it still okay!?

Hi! What size bag did you buy for ziwi peak ? I can only find 14 oz bags and I have 4 fur babies so that's no where near enough! 🤣❤️if you respond then thank you!! I am new to your channel as I'm looking for the ziwi peak sizes and came across your vid!!
That’s the size I bought because I also fed other foods as well! But it was sooo expensive and switching to raw was much cheaper :)

I have a question! I’m switching to ziwipeak and I’m not sure if I should get their dog food version or the cat food version. And when I do get the ziwipeak food is it okay to give it to them with salmon oil or should I crush it up and make it into a soup with the oil? Sorry to bug you! I hope someone is able to help me out :)
Cat!! You can do either but don’t give salmon oil too often
If you feed them the raw egg, how long can you leave that out for them? Does it go bad after an hour or so? Also, will they get sick when they transition to raw egg for the first time? I think mine had a little bit of diarrhea.
Mine finish it within 10-15 mins so I’m not exactly sure about the first part :/ but mine never got sick! It’s possible they could get diarrhea if it was the first time you’ve ever fed anything raw though.. transition very slowly.. you can even try mixing the raw egg with whatever food they have now first :)
That’s a lot of food. Do they eat it all? I wouldn’t want it to get wasted.

My boys don’t eat a lot at one time. I feed them raw throughout the day. Btw your business is adorable.
I have a question is this there diet that they eat for like there main meal or is it just kind of like a “snack”

I wish my ferrets would eat FDR 😭 I adopted them at 5 years old and they are heavily imprinted on kibble. I have them on wysong digestive support and orijen cat and kitten mix because even tho they aren’t great I feel it’s the best I can do. My boys literally won’t even eat eggs or salmon oil 😭
I understand completely!! Gnar was sooo picky for so long.. he actually wouldn’t eat eggs or salmon oil either until recently but he finally gave in and now he loves it lol. It always frustrates me when people say to just switch them to raw no big deal but they don’t realize when you have older ferrets who have been on kibble their whole lives how difficult it is...
@@MyFunkyFerrets yes exactly!! I can’t stand when people try to shame others when they have no idea the situation! I’m really glad you became a CZcamsr because I feel like most ferret you tubers push raw and shame people for not doing it.
