I wondered what the ferrets eat. Mostly meat or veggies too.
They eat meat, no veggies, just meat😋
Ferrets are obligate carnivores... they can ONLY DIGEST MEAT. If any ferret food or treat advertises fruits or vegetables or anything other than meat, you're actually harming your ferret. (Youd be surprised how many products are out there for Ferrets that are bad for them).

Sometimes my ferret does that to I let him out of the room so he can drain his energy he likes playing out in the living room I have tunnels and toys out in the living room he's usually out for 3 to 4 hrs. He will let me know when he wants to go back in his room to take a nap

@MyFunkyFerrets lol yes there is a smell. We pet lovers do get a custom to it, but visitors will feel the wif. 🤣 even when cage is clean.

@valeriestickler4187 These ferrets would last all of one hour outside. I can say this bc I have two of my own. This is not abuse, they are very clearly loved. Ferrets are burrowers and explorers, this dude is just curious and itching to get into trouble. Abuse would be opening that door and letting him "free". Please do your research before commenting your unwanted opinions.
@@alexusjohnson2610 it’s actually ironic because the one scratching at my closet is my newest rescue, Blossom who was literally found emaciated outside in the woods in a park where it is apparently common to dump unwanted pets :(
@@MyFunkyFerrets exactly. Both my little boys were rescues from horrible situations, one being found outside. These little friends need a human provider. Once an animal is domesticated, it's hard for them to develop the survival skills needed to thrive in the wild.

How do y’all switch’s difficult ferret to raw? I have 2 ferrets, one will eat anything I put in front of her. She took right to the soupy (the chunkier I make it I’m sure she may have issues), but my other ferrets acts like she is deathly afraid of it. I’m using chicken to start, and I made it very watery just to see if that helped. I’ve dabbed some in her nose and on her mouth and she won’t even lick it off. How long can the soupy mix sit in the cage? Can I leave it put all day? Or should I be sitting and trying to make them finish their meal and take it up as soon as they are done?
