No, a gun cannot be "too reliable." But props to you for the most creative video name so far.

An HK on stash duty is a misallocation of resources. Use a Canik or a police trade in M&P

@@doitriteak I respectfully disagree. Buy a HK and a backup HK and you are set. It's a lifetime INVESTMENT. Call it "insurance" or "peace of mind". No worries. EVER.

All guns should be super reliable whether on stash duty or not, you never know when you will need to use said gun to defend your life. Maintenance is part of responsibility. I have to completely disagree with this video

There's always engineering tradeoffs. The Hi-Point is designed with a simple blowback, fully cocked single action striker fired pistol (using the operating system from their "Planet of the Apes" carbine) which is just about as reliable as you can get. To clean it, people squirt CLP down the ejection port and then pull a cloth through it because the disassembly requires a punch. And because it's straight blowback, it weighs significantly more than everything else.

I love the food for thought, and the idea of too much gun for a particular purpose. Makes100% sense to me to get a gun that's either cheaper to maintain or less expensive outright. Back when SKS's where very cheap I remember people buying them stash guns for that same.

i pretty much use glocks in both fashions you stated. I do respect your opinion though. I also now am very impressed with the walther pdps so far im around 6 k and its running like a top. Keep up the interesting videos

My compact 5” PDP with 507c gr has been 100% reliable. Not quite 6k rounds but at least half of that

I actually ordered the plate for the 509t. Oops but it seems like my kind of durable optic

So I’d be better having a sccy pistol as a stash pistol because having a usp as a stash pistol is a misallocation of resources? Yeah you’re completely off your rocker on this one. All of my stash guns are also ready to be shot extensively and put into any other role. Heck I’d even rather have a hk in a fishing tackle box than a cheap gun I know is reliable enough through a few hundred rounds. The whole gun buying concept is get the best gun you can afford. Why would I buy a sccy when I can afford a Glock or m&p? It makes no sense. Police trade ins are the bees knees as I’ve bought 2 (Glock 35 gen4, sig p220) in the last 3 months and they have been fantastic for significantly less cash than buying new.
