Good points. I personally carry a pistol, and a small bottle of Sabre Red no bigger than my thumb. Reasons: -If a court finds you were wrong in deploying pepper spray, its a lot less serious of a punishment than manslaughter. -It's a perfect tool to be used between a harsh word, and a firearm. -Sure, it won't stop a threat, but good luck being an active and formidable threat without eyesight. -If you successfully rob a threat of eyesight, you can gain distance and go home hopefully unscathed, rather than having to explain to a court why you took someones life.
Unfortunately, most veterans don't really know how to handle themselves as well as a civilian. Civilians actually handle situations better than law enforcement or military.
Well said. And unfortunately the worst attribute of the human race is the ego. Every human is guilty of it. It's just whether or not you can control your own ego. Most people cannot or will not. It has been the downfall of many many men.
Biggest issue I deal with in training is getting people to take their foot off the fas after giving an ass whooping. Grudge matches are a primary problem for civilians

But you lost me when you suggested some cities are "encouraging minority criminals" that's fucked for reasons I can't explain in the space of this youtube comment. But I respect your lack of bloodlust which is difficult to find in fellow firearms enthusiasts these days.
I'd say in some cities like he said minorities are absolutely encouraged to commit crimes by extension of the justice system giving them a slap on the wrist for committing crimes lets say a white straight religious male and receiving news coverage and having their life ruined over "racism" or "white supremacy" because those headlines sell, when a black kills a white child who was playing in his front yard there is not a peep. Hell defending yourself from a person who happens to be a minority is a slippery slope these days regardless of the justification or legalities to do so, whether thats from news headlines or a "small" social media post that gets hundreds of thousand to millions of views that puts you out of a job forever, same goes for LE
