Bro you have totally mastered being a rottweiler owner. They are the best breed period. I've raised rehabilitated fostered and rehomed over 150 rottweilers in my life. They are homed by alot of people that don't understand the power of the breed they have a bite force of over 300 pounds the highest of any breed before anyone tries to argue that look it up. They have a pulling force of over 1500 pounds don't believe me look up my rottweiler pulls a camper video. Bro I respect you thanks for treating these amazing creatures with the life they deserve

The dog in the video is having the time of his life because pulling is literally in his genetic makeup. It's what he was born for. Rottweiler dogs hail from the town of Rottweil Germany, hence their namesake. They were bred to pull carts for German butchers. Their broad chest , muscular thighs and overall incredible strength was carefully bred for the exact purpose you see demonstrated in this video. They are literally bred to pull things. My boy is around 125 pounds and he pulls the kids up and down our drive in the wintertime on a sled. The very first time we tried it , he did it. He did it instinctively and without hesitation, even though it was his first time and he was only 10 months old, because it's what he was born for. Rottweilers are a working breed. If you know anything at all about working breeds , then you would know that they are the happiest when they have a job to do. The dog in this video is truly leading a wonderfully fulfilling life because the man who is his guardian obviously understands the breed and knows what his dog needs to be happy. Now besides reading plenty of good books on the proper care and treatment of the Rottser, for there are a good many written on the subject all the way back to the 1940's and earier, make that son-of-bitch WORK!!! For it loves to do just THAT!!! Like, if you walk to the grocery store and have to haul back 80 to 100 dollars worth of food on foot, have it in some way tot it back with you, where your hands are free. Or have it haul little children on a wagon for a joyride or something on a daily basis, for it loves to do just that! Have it pull you on roller blades or a skateboard for good exercise, like this good man does in this vid. SOMETHING!!! Remember, it's a great gen purpose work animal. Don't waste it on being just a guard dog and siting around with you to watch tv, surf the internet, and watch you have sex with your lover. That wouldn't be righteous to the creature. Make it do useful WORK!!!

OptimalDetail as they get older yes. I work them till age 5 then I just let them do walks.
OptimalDetail if you nourish the dog right and allow breaks their joints are fine. Hip disease is from letting them lay around too much
