I'm not sure if you'll ever read this, but City of Hope is amazing. The doctors there treated my father's stage 4 lung cancer. He was given a 2 year life expectancy, but they gave him an extra 8 years of a truly high quality life. He unfortunately passed away 2 weeks ago, but I'm forever thankful to the doctors there ❤
Sorry for your loss, but I'm glad to hear their team has been amazing for your family.
That 8 years must have been a wonderful gift for your family. I bet he appreciated every day.
My mom got 5.5 extra years on stage 4 cancer. I'm so grateful I got to spend every day living with my parents and helping them each and every day
Sorry for your lost
Sorry for your loss
You have been here for us for years. You’ve been honest, and it’s obvious that you are here to help and teach your followers. We are here for you Jay. Thank you for all of the years, and all of them to come.
Much love
I am pretty sure I have been following this channel for about 2 years! somebody wrote on one of the first comments I saw where a guy watched a gpu video, his girlfriend came by and asked who is that Bond villain talking about a gpu!
Couldn't have said it better !
Get better Jay ! Stay strong and healthy ! Bless you and your loved ones !
@@kenpazaraki5781 dude no need to spam 😂 we get it
@@kenpazaraki5781The man literally said don't do this. Dafuq is wrong with you??
Wonder if they're considering using a similar treatment to casgevy (crispr cas9 treatment for sickle cell). That involves harvesting stem cells before chemo to kill off and replace bonemarrow.
Hopefully there'll be progress for Jay with things ending well (knocking on wood).
City of Hope is fantastic. They treated my sister in-law for breast cancer. They’re just awesome! They really take care of you and treat you like family. Good luck man! Praying for you and your family brother.
You've been a mainstay in the tech scene on CZcams. You're health is paramount.
CZcams is secondary to your health. The community will pour out the support; just tell us where you need it Jay.
We want to make sure our monetary contributions are going to the best ways to support you!
This! Get this to the top! Take a break when you want or need it!
Edit: If you don't take care of your health and focus on content instead, you'll become worse enough to where you won't be able to do that anymore. Please Jay, you come first before the channel!
Hey Jay, just wanted to say that I'm a primary care doc and don't underestimate how impactful your openness can be. Normalizing talking about health makes a difference and makes people comfortable talking about their health. I wish you the best!
Good looking out
He just made me feel like I have a friend and ally in going through some very similar rectal bleeding symptoms from hemorrhoids. Thank you for your support too, in being open and supportive. Much love to you as well!
Yes! Exactly!!! We live in a culture of not talking about things like this, then when it comes up in one's life/circle people are astounded by the process. Also contributes to lessening the ableism.
I hope your health improves and you can continue to do what you love. ❤
leaky gut , atleast from my experiance is alcohol, not talking 1 shot of whiskey, i drink 5 times a day, when i stop it goes blasting out everything i got in my gut. then comes no sleep at night, and all the shit, idk what Jay does behind the scenes, but just sharing my experiance, alcohol is such a poison.@@kenpazaraki5781
correction not 5 times a day, 5 days a week. , another edit, even probably no one reads my post , but alcohol , gave me 170-140 blood presure, feeling like dead for 4 days when i stop, cant even walk anymone more than a room.
Hemroids 😂. I got em and bleed 😅
It sux asssss

wish you a fast recovery and all the best! Hang on there man.
Thanks for sharing Jay!
Hope you're able to get to the bottom of all this.
Your videos have helped me greatly over the years!
My wife is currently fighting cancer, I understand the struggle. Keep your head up brother, your true fans support you and hope for the best...
Stay positive.
Check out Thomas Seyfried. You have to be your own health advocate. When CEO's of hospitals and healthcare corps get cancer they never want what they're selling.
Sending you all the positive vibes!
Sending Positive vibes and prayers!
All the best for you’re wife, I know the situation too well I hope your doing ok 🙏
Thank you for not censoring symptoms like blood in the stool. Deseases like Chrons, Colitis and other types of IBD are overlooked because of stigma and taboo. It takes bigger voices, like your own, talking freely about serious health concerns, to break down the conversational barriers.
Hope everything works out for you, Jay.
I agree. I had the same issues and had to have blood transfusions and surgeries to fix the blood issues. An easy way to tell if you are anemic for a long period of time, your nails will concave. The nails will never recover but it's easy for anyone reading to check. The other problem is supplements like iron and such won't work if your body can't absorb it which is another problem. Side note if you need to eat and calm the digestive system is to take cannabis. CBD might work, but the state I'm in now prescribes cannabis to help calm down the digestive system and allow time to absorb the nutrients needed.
On a good note, once your levels are backup, you feel like a super human for a couple weeks.
Colitis was my first thought, but they did colonoscopy. Chrons is usually in small intestine and I don't know if they checked that yet. They're probably checking easier and more likely (and serious, even though Chrons can be bad too) options.
sitting in a hospital bed with Crohn's waiting for a surgeon to remove my ascending colon so I second this statement.
@@BC-ji9xr I miss the days of my youth where I felt superhuman after getting over illness. I remember being laid on the couch from a bug for a week straight. Took 2 days before I was actually able to drink fluids. I just laid there and watched the first 2 seasons of The Walking Dead (which is what I felt like). Then by next week, I felt like I could fly! I was 25 then. Last time I experienced that feeling was a couple years ago (when I was 35) when I got my first Covid vaccine. For about 8 hrs I had so much energy and felt great, then it hit and I was in bed for the next day, then back to my normal "meh".
Back in 2017 I had a colonoscopy done after finding blood in stool. They didn't find any polyps but had a diverticulitis diagnosis. It's a very painful disease when you get a flare up. Nutritional deficiencies, anemia, trouble sleeping... It affects every aspect of your life. I really have to watch my diet. Fiber, good multivitamins and no fried or oily foods. I feel your pain Jay. Hope you find out exactly what the issue is.
I have severe Crohns and it drive me literally insane often. Pain comes and goes with zero rhyme or reason. It is frustrating and I am happy you speak about your health. It is fricken weird. FACTS. But it helps a lot of folks not just ignore things that can be "fixed" if caught early. Rootin for ya guy
!
I was recently put on a medication called Rinvoq. Has gave me my life back and I'm only on it 1 month so far. Please look in to it if you're struggling at the minute.
You have been and will continue to be in my prayers daily Jay! Thank you for all you do sir! You've been a huge influence and educator for me and my love for Computers. I will always be here and I will always support you.
Thanks for the update. I've been watching your channel for about 3 years now, so my wife recognizes your voice when I watch your videos. She has been asking how you were doing, so I had to share it with her. Positive vibes to you and your family.
It is not cancer, this is fantastic news. Keep it up man!
You sound down and understandably so.. but it not being cancer is a huge win man.
If he got correct treatment and its been a whole few months and the bloodwork values arent back to normal... something is wrong..
@@casualonemmo-player2167 yes but there is wrong and then there is cancer wrong.
Yeah, I know from experience that cancer sucks. Have my left femur held together by a metal plate and 8 screws. Surprisingly that doesn't set off metal detectors at the airport. But people have more options today for fighting cancer than when I had it. Me it was chemo therapy. That was about 22 years ago. But others its radiation. But now if cancer responds well to it, they can train your immune system to fight the cancer cells and kill it on its own.
Take care Jay, thanks for the update!
Hoping all the best for you soon!
And thanks for your hard work to you and your guys at work, all the best for your family too!
I found your channel in early 2020 while recovering from cancer and surgery. You are in my thoughts and prayers for a way to treat this and for energy. God bless you. I appreciate your humor, honesty and willingness to share your interests and skills. You lifted me up on some very down days. Thank you for sharing. I hope they can help you you recover quickly.
Awe Jay! I went to City of Hope as well for treatment of stage 3 breast cancer....I am now 7 years cancer free!!! They are amazing, stay strong!❤
Congrats Susan...I'm a fellow Prostate Cancer survivor....everytime I see a post like yours I celebrate for that person!!!!!!!!!!!
@@370.y that is what good insurance coverage is for, and treatment hospitals like city of Hope have financial assistance for those that need it.
@@370.y Unfortunately, you have to pay for it everywhere in the world, either directly or through taxes.
@@BloodwyrmWildheart What would you rather pay, tens of thousands of dollars on a bill or a few dollars extra in taxes? Here in Sweden, healthcare is subsidized by tax and a healthcare visit with surgery is almost free.
Breast cancer runs in both sides of my family so I celebrate you being cancer free as I would my family!!!!
We definitely want to hear more health updates, and we wish you the best of luck in healing.
Stories of people realising they are ill or working out what is wrong with them, because they saw someone else talking about it, appear all the time.
That is why sports stars and other celebs talk publicly. Including recently, the royal family.

Thanks for the update! Keep taking it easy, we will always be here for the channel.
I quite caffeine 20 years ago, it was the beginning of my wellness. Keep up the great work Jay!
Yeah that can be a slipper slope if your not realizing that caffeine is really a energy debt/booster and not a energy replacement.
A delicious coffee in the morning is the only sensible thing...anything more than that does more harm than good. I don't even want to talk about energy drinks.
I quit it myself a few times and this time I swear I am all done with it ! I cant handle the Jitters or constant crashes without the stuff, it really has an effect on some of us more than others!
Coffee aint bad for the health, its quite good for it... If one doesnt overdose on it(due to the caffeine) ofc.
In reality you quit sugar, unless you never put sugar or cream in your coffee.
Thank you for not hiding some of your problems. You are like a older eccentric “fun” uncle we have adopted over the years. You educate and entertain us in your own way. So if you will. Let us know what the status of your health is. A lot of us hope “Uncle Jay”, will be around for as long as you want to do these videos. Thank you.
Hey Jay, did you check your Testosterone?
Thank you for the update. I hope that your progress continues and you get stronger
Sorry you're going through this. Hope you feel better soon. Thank you for all the great videos over the years.
Glad to hear that the colonoscopy didnt show any weird things... shame they still have no clue where it is coming from but the fact its not a form of colon cancer....
Hope they figure it out soon and that you can recover quickly and thoroughly
The next logical step for any doctor worth their salt would be a full pituitary gland check.
"Older men" with clinically nonfunctioning pituitary tumors is known to cause anemia
It's amazing that no one in this comment section can figure out that the vaccines are causing these cancers.

Take care of yourself and your team is great.
Dear Jay, I was absolutely thinking the same last video about the similar symtpoms. Please keep us updated and may you become better soon!
Thank you for sharing this update with us - I'm really glad to hear that you doing so has helped other people too. I hope people who are worried about having conversations with a doctor when something's not right feel encouraged to start getting answers early.
Thank you so much for sharing. I just played this for my wife, she's been going through a very similar situation, and too much caffeine consumption as well and I've been struggling with extreme tiredness. I do pray we all can get healthy soon.
A few years ago I was functioning over caffeine, and man, the withdrawal headaches were absolutely BRUTAL.
i suppose theres one advantage to caffeine making me want to spit a drink out.
Otherwise I certainly would of spent at-least one period of my life addicted to it.
Your honesty and integrity mean a lot in our world. It's what keeps a lot of us coming back. And, you have a great team around you. So, you take the time you need for you. We'll still be here. I've been dealing with non answers for neurologic problem for 14 years. I'm so sorry you are having to go through that. Nothing worse than not knowing. Praying they figure out the issue, and find a way to get you through it. And, please, keep us updated.
Wishing you all of the best Jay! Understanding and accepting the conditions you face, and sharing it with your subscribers is a big feat on its own. Im holding thumbs that you can get the answers you need and hope that it is as least stressful as possible. Keep well Jay!
Sorry to hear about your struggles! Hope things turn upwards with the new regimen!
Your channel is phenomenal!
Glad you're doing ok Jay. Take care
Health and family are everything. When you're feeling very unwell everything else falls away and you realize none of it is important except your health and your family.
I wish you the best.
Yes, family = support structure. That's why I suffer so much more, illness and no family, and why I applied for euthanasia at Dignitas Switzerland. So grateful to have that option instead of having to slowly die alone
If you feel that you would rather keep your health to yourself, then I recommend that you listen to yourself and don't listen to the negativity! I've been watching you for year's and will continue to no matter what you decide. Thanks brother and try to take it easy more often.
Prayers and blessings for a full and fast recovery.
Your health should always be your first concern. thank you for the update.
Your struggle with weight really resonates with me. I've had a long self-destructive fight with my own weight. Keep hanging in there.
Look up Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Anthony Chaffee on CZcams and at least look into his advice.
They solved all of my problems, and took all of the guesswork out of dieting.
I get to eat what I always preferred to eat, and I never feel hungry doing it.
Thanks for the update. Been thinking about you and hoping for the best. I'm glad that you're getting the help that you need. Love you man stay strong, and you'll surely beat this thing.
Many blessings Jay, you’ve educated me so much over the years and I will support as needed and as much as I can.

Jay, what's very cool is that your fan base (PC enthusiasts who might tend to be sedentary), really needs to hear this stuff! And you are providing it! I'm a 55 yr old engineer and recovered addict (7 yrs clean) and battling similar symptoms while working graveyard. Hypertension\BP is my big problem...and when you mentioned "oxygen not getting to organs" , it was a lightbulb moment, because "deep breaths" is the only way I get my BP back down. Anyway, I'm learning a lot from these "Health update videos"! So Thank you!
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. May the Force be with you...always.
You sparked the passion of pc in me and I thank you for that. I hope you make a full recovery.

I admire your bravery & honesty in sharing this which to some people would be an incredibly personal thing that they would want to hide from everyone, maybe including close family & friends too. I wish you all the best Jay.
Best wishes from Czech Republic. Take you time and heal properly. I've seen way too many peoply destroyed by overworking themself. R&R is important.
You are a good due Jay, I hope your health continues to improve. My sister dealt with anemia, once her and her Doctors discovered why she was having these problems it became very treatable. I hope this turns out the be the case with you as well.
Keep strong Champion, good on ya for talking about it. We all need to know it's o.k. to struggle and be open about it.
Sorry that you're dealing with all this Jay. Hang in there man, and thanks for being open and sharing this stuff.
I've recently gone through a health scare. I hope you find a diagnosis soon and can work to getting better! Not knowing is truly the scariest part.
Absolutely trust in your doctors and hopefully they have answers and possible solutions for you soon.
I went through years of trying to figure out what was wrong with me, with every test repeatedly coming back normal or inconclusive, and it drains you in a way others that don't go through it can't truly comprehend.
Stay strong and keep doing what you're doing, nick and Phil do a great job when they do videos, so it is certainly imo no detriment for them to step in as required. Hopefully you'll have a plan to work from soon.
Prayers for your health, Jay!
Praying for your healing, Jay!
Congrats on 4 Million Jay! Great to see you got in to such a specialized health program! Best of luck, stay happy healthy, and keep teaching us.
Just for your information, I also have been treated at city of Hope, it is NOT just for cancer and hard to get to or go, or be accepted, they are all over the USA, and have even more locations after acquiring Cancer Treatment Centers of America and accept most insurances. They pay for your travel, food, assistance with lodging. Most anyone can go there if they have insurance and I highly recommend anyone facing a big serious diagnosis to get a 2nd opinion at City of Hope. If I hadn't, I wouldn't be typing this right now.
When my dad has his heart issues he only started getting really better when he was treated at an oncology Center. Not only do they have great doctors for all areas of the body but they are really sympathetic too, you're not just a number to them. I hope they can nail what's ailing you and help you get through it.
I'm sorry my economic condition doesn't allow me to support via merchandise, but i'll keep watching every video you guys make.
Stay strong! ❤
thank you for the update, I hope you are able to find a treatment and God Bless
Best wishes on your healthcare journey Jay, love to hear the updates please keep doing them.
Take care Jay. Feel better
Best wishes on getting your health back, from a bladder cancer survivor.
I used to drink 4-6 pots of coffee every day, I’m down to 4-6 cups/day now.
4 to 5 cups of coffee is the daily maximum recommended amount.
No offense but
How are you still alive from that amount of caffeine?
They probably built up a tolerance.
For caffeine-free people, even a little has a big effect. But the more often you consume, the less the affect, and the more you need to get a kick.
@@rokko_hates_japanYeah, that's definitely true to some extent. I haven't felt any effect of caffeine for years (although I can't remember it ever having any big effect, but memory of decades past is a fickle thing).
I drink coffee because I like the taste and that's about it. I consume probably about 30-100g of coffee beans every single day (so should be ~1-3 grams of caffeine). That's not small numbers, but I imagine that would still be considered rookie numbers by anyone living around the mediterannean.
@@piktasniekas8124 my favorite snack is chocolate covered coffee beans. But I definitely feel the effects! Lol
@paradoxicalmadness4507 Judging by the movies, I imagine many americans drink water not coffee... I wouldn't be surprised if a "pot" has less coffee in it than a typical double espresso (15-20 grams of beans). You could also make a single cup out of 100g of beans, if you really wanted to (might need to do some boiling and concentration, but it's probably not too hard to do). So, if you want to get even a remotely accurate read on caffeine consumption, you gotta measure the coffee beans used to make the drinks, not the number of drinks.
P.S. 4-5 cups of typical coffee is definitely not a limit for any coffee drinker and it's definitely "safe" to consume a lot more (just don't do it all at once and drink enough water (coffee is most definitely not a replacement for water, as it's a strong duretic)). Obviously, things like this are very individual; if some1 feels terrible after just 1 cup, then maybe even 1 cup is not "safe" and should not be consumed. And the 100g/cup coffee - yeah, don't try that - that's probably not safe to consume for anyone, in any amounts.
Thanks Jay! Hope your health will keep improving from now on.
Glad to hear you have access to excellent health care, and that things are improving! Yes, do keep us updated please, your experience IS educational. I have been recovering from 2 yrs of deep anemia which took doctors a long time to identify, I fully understand the frustration of exhaustion and debilitating lack of energy!
