Wow things that I could learn how to do if I couldn’t leave my house for a while that’s so weird I have those same circumstances
I got a rubik's cube 3 years ago and I only solved it today it hasn't been normal since it came out the pack so I've been trying to solve it nearly every day for the past few years
How strange. Me too!
I know right!
Really??? I think I do to!! Oh never mind that is just my normal life
Life is weird
As a member of the speed cubing community with my official PR as 11.06 seconds. No matter what method or cube you use. A cuber is a cuber and we welcome you.
Thanks for the first positive message I've seen on this subject. Your other PR skill (public relations) is clearly far above average.
VoltisArt it took me about 6 months to get below a minute using advance method. We all start somewhere
I still use beginners method and my official pb is 23 seconds, I agree with you, I’ve learned cfop but can only do it in like a minute
CUBERRRRR GANNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG

For the Rubiks cube

You do if you want to be a speed cuber
You don't if you just want to learn how to solve it and time don't matter

(Haven't watched the video yet)
I can solve a rubix cube in 50 sec.
Nate: the circle juggling method is harder
Me: so you're telling me that I've been able to do the more difficult one since i was 8 but not the easier one?
Also, so many people told me that the circular method isn't the "correct" method. They stand corrected.
I thought the exact same thing haha
If the 'circle method' isn't the correct way to juggle, what is juggling.
There isnt a "correct" way to juggle. Isnt juggking just throwing things in the air continuously. Also id be interested if you find the one he showed easier to learn now you have learned the other one
Same here. I picked up the circle really young, but never been coordinated enough to do the figure eight type
I fell like this is a subtle but noticable flex

yeah the world record is like less than 4 seconds

Weird flex but ok
21.05 best time for me but I'm glad he mentioned our community lol
My best time for solving one is 2 days😢
Electrician and Maintenance Manager speaking here: Flux is NOT the "metal glue", the "metal glue" is the silver-ish metal. The Flux is an Acid or other reducing agent, used to remove oxides, to allow a better bond.
Glad you pointed that out. Some people might just buy the flux alone thinking that they only need the "metal glue"

I'm a maintenance Electrician building submarines and honestly that was the worst soldering tutorial I've ever seen 😂.
I'm only 14 and I know what they said was wrong, worst soldering tutorial ever.
what about the parts where the un tinned part of the iron was used to solder, actually hurts to watch
The Rubik's cube is one thing that I really wanted to learn as a kid, but gave up on it
Keep trying I average 20 secs or watch a tutorial you won't solve it by your self
Just Some Guy without a Mustache Sameee
I learned it this week. Took me 2-3 days. As i get frustrated easily. But if you are patient than me, you can learn in a day.
I uses tutorial to learn. You can too. Use the 37 minutes tutorial that shows up when u search it.
Use J Perm's tutorial it's probably the easiest

Helpful tips:
Make sure you put the heat shrink tube on before soldering then put it over the bare soldered wires and apply heat to shrink it.
Always chock your wheels when changing a tire. If possible also support car with Jack stands.

Did you just cough

OMG😷
I'm glad that Nates aware of his cube prowess, but the fact that you've been cubing for 15 years is quite impressive actually, most top solvers haven't even been cubing that long so... kudos!
I've been cubing for like 3 months
@@bulbasaurhimself8914 nice! What you avging?
I've been cubing for about 2 months, or since the start of quarintine. I've gotten down to a PB of 1:11.48 using Roux
I have been cubing for a little over a year and my pb is 7.15 seconds and my ao5 is 10.26
So your saying hes bad at it
Fun fact, if you lay under your car while working on it (ex: if you're looking for a part or assessing damage) you should consider putting a tire by your head/chest to support the car if it falls off the Jack. It may not save you from bruising but it can save you from getting a crushed skull or broken rib in some circumstances. Just use your spare.
Something that helped me with the juggling pattern was using plastic grocery bags. They float down alot slower and gives you a moment to figure it out.
Thanks a lot! That’s an awesome tip.
This was just a video of Nate flexing

Changing tires and soldering are things that you should know how to do tho
Yeah he was flexing a lot of muscles
I can solve it too in less than one minute.
@@ThePrufessa What do you mean?
12:34 You normally don't use the solderiron tip like this - use the front part.
First clean the tip or get new one (this look bad).
If it is clean put a bit of solder on the tip - the heat transfer will be much better than with this nasty solder tip you use.
And if you want to solder thicker wires better don't do it in 90° angle to the wire - hold the Solder Iron in sharper angle to the wire so there is a bigger surface.
Hans Mayer very true
Additionally, it sounded like they were trying to say solder and flux were the same thing, they are not, flux is a gel that helps keep electronics clean.
Yeah, when she said don't get solder on the tip I cringed a bit.
@@Killerjerick I always think of flux as the fat or cooking oil. also yeah apply solder to the point where the tip & wires meet. You want that liquid flow. we tend to leave a blob of solder on our irons once done or we're leaving it for a few mins to help prevent "heat holes" on your iron.
I was hoping someone else saw that she was holding the wires over the hole for the butane to escape and not actually using the tip like she should of been.
0:08 Agreed! That looked flawless!
The faces calli is making while trying to juggle are priceless

That was a missed opportunity to recommend watching your video on making ninja balls.
My dad was a mechanic, but funnily enough, he wasn't the one who taught me how to solder or how to change a tire. Aside from the spinning things on my finger, I can already do all the stuff in this video, and those last few are definitely handy skills to have. They're simple, so they're hard to forget. But they help tremendously.
I'm actually really glad I saw this. I knew how to change the tire itself but I never knew how to use a jack. Now I know 😊
I JUST LEARNED TO JUGGLE!! YAY
Yay!!
heres a fun skill: the owl call.
make your non-dominant hand in an L-shape, the fingers in a 90degree angle. place the thumb ontop. now place your formed hand on your open other hand. youll want your pinky resting on where your fingers begin on the other hand. now close the dominant fingers around the other and put your non-dominant fingers on the webbing of the other. place thumbs together and blow on knuckles. if you dont succed, change thumb placement or blowing pressure
Lmao I can do this, but I'm ambidextrous so when you said to take your dominant hand I got confused for a second
Learning how to dance from Calli would be amazing!
Handkerchiefs are how I learned to juggle. Gives you plenty of hang time to get used to the rhythm.
Juggling is an amazing one! It's easy to pick up, looks cool and you can do different juggling patterns too!👍

For anyone giving soldering a try, Look up how to tin a wire. GREATLY improves welds and weld strength. Soldering is hugely beneficial as what we use to say every day at my electrical union job, Loose wires cause fires.
Can confirm ... had to learn it in school when becoming a sysadmin and hated it (the teacher was really bad and I wasn't too interested) ... revisited it a few years later in the context of diy electronics and has become one of my favorite hobbies. I can solder tiny qfp by hand these days (100 joints on a chip as small as a 2 [euro-]cent coin).
Nate: all the speed cubers can judge me on my technique and using this brand of cube
Me: omg I can’t even solve one

Same lol
When soldering you want to have solder on the tip so the wire gets hot faster. I do solder very much in my job and on my rc's. And a sodlerin tip without solder is a pain in the A to solder with.
Yes I totally agree and have been soldering for 30+ years. Also, a very important note to always wear eye protection especially when you are learning because if you accidentally burn yourself or drop the iron or something, it can fling molten metal into your eye. Another important note about the soldering: I highly recommend connecting the wires in a slightly different way because that won't work with solid core wires, and it doesn't create a strong physical bond. I recommend putting the two ends of the stripped wire in an x shape and twisting the right top arm around the right bottom wire, and then wrap the top left arm around the bottom left. This should leave a very strong physical bond even without the solder so the solder just makes it even better. This method also works with solid core because you don't have to separate the strands. I'm really glad Nate & Cali demonstrated the heating of the wires and letting the solder flow through the wires rather than heating the solder and dripping it on to the wire. Thanks for the comment Matze and I hope this thread can help other people who want to learn to solder.
@@joshpentalin5303 both this and the comment above, as well as being in an open and ventilated area the fumes really aren't healthy, I wanted to die when she did it with the middle of the iron, it was just bad, no one should do it like that, I don't solder for a job and haven't been doing it for too long but that is just not the way, nothing wrong with having solder on the tip either, sometimes it's done for convenience or annoying to reach spots, just need to clean it afterward, I was honestly taught to solder in two minutes, it's not complicated but it needs to be done right, they should have honestly just linked to a tutorial, and normally with simple stuff, especially just two wires there's no real need for a helping hand
I agree with all above.
Can't say i have a lot of experience in soldering wires but what i can say is that it's way better to have solder on the tip.
If you don't the wire takes longer to reach temperature and the insulation can start melting away.
Calli is just sitting to the side just learning and in amazement

In Australia I learnt soldering at my secondary school in year 7. We HAD to do Metal Work class as well as Engineering and also Woodwork, and Electrical. We had a separate building called the Trade Wing. Even other schools come to take these classes. My school also had a BMX track and I ground trampolines for fun and also a Car Ed class where we were taught to drive and had a special area of the school set up with traffic signs etc we were also taught finances and how to get a job and how to weir letters and take mock job interviews etc.

I have a pet rock. His name is Dog. To take care of a pet rock you need to:
1) Teach it to sit. If you tell it to sit and it doesn't that's embarrassing.
2) Teach your rock to play dead. This is an easy trick to teach a pet rock. They sometimes practice it by themselves.
3) Feed them dry plants.
4) Build your pet rock a house.
5) Name your rock.
6) Play with your rock by kicking and throwing it.

Nice mine is around 17 seconds.
can you try to teach us how to make home made boats, like for little boat racing!!!???
well at the start of this quarantine , i got a 3d printer and during quarantine i learned how to model and design parts , that was the best decision i made in a long time
For juggling, I would recommend practicing to throw it up to eye level while still on one ball. Also, not watch your hands when catching will help as well.
With two balls, alternate which hand you start with and wait as long as you possibly can before throwing the second ball (also keeping the height)
No word of a lie, I have learned “wire” and juggle, along with building a drone!
Love the last one. Everyone should know basic vehicle maintenance.
Regarding tire changes: do yourself a favor and get yourself a decent jack & wrench if the ones in your car aren't great. It's SO helpful.

This is so funny! I actually learned to juggle in middle school and I decided to practice again during the early days of quarantine, but all I had on hand were some rice packs! I can confirm-they worked great 😅
I just want to say if you practice changeing tires make sure you are using the correct specs because hand tightened lug nuts can be easily removed by the amount of shaking and heat that comes from the car itself usually fir regular cars it is 100 foot pounds of torque for lug nuts but if you have any questions make sure to take a look at the care takers book for that year and model of cars because some are different than others
I learned to juggle in like 30 minutes maybe a year ago.
