@@Mendoza1414 I went back and watched some Trubisky film because I remember I wasn't high on him but I wanted to see why. His decision making was severely lacking and you could see it on tape. Plus his passes often off target. I was high on Mahomes that year as were a lot of people in the draft community. Zach Wilson reminds me of a Aaron Rodgers without polish. You need a good staff to get the most out of this kidz but hes no Trubisky.

My GOD I want the Chicago Bears to do whatever it takes takes move up and draft this kid. I want this kid in Chicago more than any other player in this class. More than Trevor, more than Fields, more than any other player. Kid has the mechanics, processing read ability, aggressive confidence & a cannon for an arm. Pretty damn good QB class. Next years QB class is shaping up to be nice also.

I'm a Jet fan and I've seen the bad comments already. One reporter trashed his family and said he's a rich spoiled brat. Didn't Don Shula die? as a bills fan, I am much more worried about how much talent he has from a physical tools standpoint going to jets than the physical tools tua has for phins, but is all comes down to decision making

In terms of just talent overall I think he is equal to Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence gets the nod on him with readiness and pocket intangibles. Only thing that sort of concerns me with Wilson is his pocket presence, he has a bad habit of darting around the pocket or dropping backwards out of the pocket instead of stepping up; although that doesn't come up much in this game because UCF was just overmatched from the jump. Still 100% worth the #2 pick though, some of these throws are astonishing.
In no way am I saying Mac Jones is better than Zach Wilson, but people can't knock Mac Jones and say he throws to wide open receivers because Zach Wilson's receivers might as well be called 7-Eleven too.
Zach literally was the best thrower in the draft for tight windows absolutely no one if this draft class came close to him in that area

The players that will get drafted opted out due to not wanting to risk injury. They have a few including one of the best safties in the draft.

The BYU Offensive line is tall tall for sure. They have two at six foot seven and one at six foot eight. I still don’t think I can tell a two inch difference. I’ve never been good at that.

Jesus christ, do the BYU receivers drop everything? I've seen a few of these Wilson videos now and I swear they're dropping 10 passes a game.
I think the receivers actually did a pretty good job. I only saw three or four passes that should have been caught but weren't. Of those, two were to running backs. Not that that's an excuse but catching balls isn't their primary role.
Incomplete passes: #1 Pass broken up by good defensive play; #2 covered well but maybe still catchable, don't think the receiver got hands on it; #3 under pressure & behind the receiver (RB); #4 deep ball into double-coverage; #5 totally open, should have caught that one; #6 defensive pass interference, so technically not an incomplete pass; #7 under pressure, threw it away, landed in the trash can (so also technically not incomplete?); #8 low and a little behind (RB) but he still should have had that one; #9 under pressure, not close enough for anyone to have a good chance at it.

Needs to throw with anticipation. First pass was an example of how this generation of QBS wait to see an open target instead of releasing the ball before his man comes of his break. I'm not overly impressed as anyone can see that most passes were safe or so overly wide open anyone with an decent arm and accuracy could thrive in this offense or against this defense. He is making good decisions but to be honest with guys so wide open it would be a travesty to not look good
One of his traits is for throwing guys open. That's why he's being showcased over other potential qb's.

@Jestivius Jovial_Emperor And just to clarify, an LDS mission is a two-year, full-time commitment. No time-off or spreading it out during the off-season. Zach opted to focus on football rather than take two years away from the game. Mission service is not a requirement at BYU but because a lot of their players are LDS, a lot of them do serve missions either before or in the middle of college. Other recent BYU star players who didn't serve missions include linebackers Fred Warner (49ers) and Kyle Van Noy (Dolphins).

Wilson throws a much better ball than Lawrence. Nice tight spirals most of the time, while I don't think I've ever seen Lawrence throw a spiral. Not that it's necessary, Peyton Manning had a decent career without being able to throw a spiral.

Dudes velocity is off the charts tho. Ball gets there in a hurry. And his cross body throws are incredible. He once threw a cross body td 60 yards in the air.
This Defense isn't very good and I'm not convinced this conference has done Wilson any favors. NFL is going to be a huge jump in difficulty and speed.
