Lots of stuff here for both his proponents and his detractors. Several really impressive throws along with some really headscratching decisions and taking a couple of really bad sacks. One where he just held it too long and left a relatively clean pocket. The other where there was a blitz and didn't throw it hot or away. His pocket presence will need to improve in the NFL. I also find it worrying that his coaches stopped trusting him on 3rd and long during the second quarter, opting for screens or the rollout dumpoff pass on several occasions in a row after he made some risky throws into traffic on prior 3rd and longs. However, he nailed the game ending TD on 3rd and 15.
Without All-22 film its literally impossible to tell whether it was a good or bad sack...
Not a Jets fan. But I'm hope Zach have a better year.

I'm a Jets fan and I'd like to see the Jets draft him at number two, build around a young talented QB on a rookie contract. The Jets have lots of cap space, and lots of draft capitol over the next two seasons, imagine what Joe Douglas could build with Zach as the guy, they could get good quickly. It's time to move on from Sam, love the guy but it's just time.

Hes got a really good arm. But he hasnt had to deal with a messy pocket comparable to what he'll see in the NFL. The arm talent is unquestionable, but Wilson as much as any young QB coming into the Nfl, will have to adjust to NFL speed. I dont think he's anywhere near as day 1 pro ready as Lawrence is, but he'll have an opportunity. I don't see him giving the Jets any better shot at winning than Sam Darnold did though. Atleast not in his first two years.

He started 7 games his true freshman year and had 12TDs, 3 INTs, 1,500 passing, 200 rushing, 2 TDs, completed 65% of his passes and had a QB rating of 157. His last game was 18/18 for 300 yards and 4 TDs. His junior year he wasn’t healthy because he has shoulder surgery and then broke his finger. He wasn’t a 1 year wonder.

He's definitely faster in straight line than Mahomes. Mahomes is crafty runner, but it's more setting up defenders than pure speed. Wilson also sets up defenders, but does it much faster. Not Kyler fast though

Check out his first two seasons. Byu played no one good 2020 because everyone canceled. Check out what the schedule was gonna be, one of the hardest, to what it turned out to be. Yes, this does overhype his stats, but he is still a great player and will probably be good in the nfl.

I agree as well I’d take Wilson over fields in a heartbeat. TLaw is every bit worth the hype and I feel like he truly is a tier of his own. But watching tape of the other two when you look at fields he throws this outstanding ball, perfectly accurate great power and zip. But he just stares down his first read on 90% of his drop backs which is easy to see on tape. If his first read isn’t open he either holds onto the ball all day to slowly diagnoise the defense or runs. Look at how many sacks Fields takes vs the other two and you’ll see even with a good OSU Oline he gets sacked wayyy too much. Doesn’t throw with anticipation at all which you need to do in the NFL. Wilson throws with great anticipation and reads players open all the time and goes through proper reads quickly. I wish he’d climb the pocket a bit more but that’s coachable and he does feel pressure good enough.

Zach was really sloppy in this game. Some of the throws should have been intercepted. He has pretty throwing motion and quick release though. Being honest, BYU should have lost this game.

I’m sorry, I don’t see it. He reads defenses well, but he winds up for intermediate throws and seems to live in the flats. He’s very mobile, but, like Trey Lance, he’s not exactly playing NFL defenders here

Zach Wilson hasn't played any REAL top competition and in playing the lower tier competition he's had plenty of issues with the defenses. Of course a QB is going to have 80+% passing when 65% of his passes are dump offs to running backs. Zach Wilson should realistically have a 3rd round draft grade.

All I see on this video is a QB who got bailed out with tons of penalties that gave his team good field position, and Houston's DBs dropping AT LEAST 3 EASY INTERCEPTIONS. I like Wilson, but he is a little over hyped. He is not the clear QB2 of this draft. It is closer between him and the rest of the first round prospects than what people realize.
