@zeezooklives the NFL is working on games in countries other than the US more and more every year. In a couple decades it could become a international sport.
Im pretty sure that's their goal, they recognize that flag football is obviously way less physical but also a lot cheaper without the gear. The Olympics are coming to the USA in a few years and I think they want to pitch it during then

this would be a perfect for an olympic event, low risk injuries (parents would be willing to let their children participate leading to more fans), easy to understand and follow along, gives people from other countries a chance to play football, and very entertaining

It feels like American football's international interest rises with each passing year. I know there's still a long way to go before making it an international sport but I love how the NFL is trying to spread the game to other countries

Unfortunately this is the beginning of the end of American football. Once the world catches on to this style of flag it’s game over. Taking the physicality out of the game benefits the owners more than the players. That’s why the NFL will make the switch in the next 20 years.

Us Americans are very proud of y'all Italians for loving our game, make it yours, we will help when you need help. Y'all got this, now add your take on football. Hell yeah! That Italian QB can play. If that Italian QB sees this, we have a XFL team in Vegas and I really love them and don't want to lose them, if you could play for the vipers and take us to to the playoffs or win a championship, you could probably save us.

Fun fact: I played against Darrell Doucette at Nationals at Southern Miss University when he was at Xavier (Louisiana) in 2010. I was our pass rusher - quickest player on our team. He absolutely humiliated me that day. I played for a small community college in GA and had no business being on the field with him.
Watching him humiliate some of the Italian players makes me feel much better!
I lost 2 times to this dude on last play of the game🦾 in tournaments. I always loved watching him and playing against him. He is lightning quick. I KNEW he would beat the pros and I KNEW he would win this game no questions dude is THE truth!

Most of those rich big European countries have semi-pro football leagues right now. Here in Poland teams are even bought by milioners, and serious money is invested into them. I mean all padded normal football. This sport is pretty much global by now

I played alot of flag football throughout my years and can say those big boys with long arms can snag those passes. Also, they are good at positioning themselves in bound. As a defender, you can't do much but hope they drop the ball.
This is dope. Now more countries can pick up the basics of the game.

Flag football is honestly the ideal form of gridiron football for international competition, at least for now.
The US (and Canada to some extent, and to an even lesser extent Australia and maybe the countries where Rugby is popular, but my point stands I think) has kind of an innate advantage internationally until the sport grows. We have an entire country of teens growing up playing youth, high school and college football, plus the NFL. So tackle football is just going to be a slaughter.
But flag football kind of evens the playing field so that any big athletic guy from any country can stand a chance.

Why hasn't the NFL caught on with other countries? My theory is there are too many rules and takes time to fully understand the sport, but it would be awesome to see teams from around the world. Can you imagine how many different uniforms there would be?! That would be exciting

rugby is older and already globally popular, and it’s very similar to football but with less equipment cost. I’m guessing this is the big reason football hasn’t caught on outside NA. The sports that are global are generally low barrier of entry ones, and football is high barrier of entry.
