That Roman Wilson touchdown that was overturned could've been the momentum swing they needed to come back, much more than the lost 6 points I think the damage it did to morale was ultimately more impactful

24 points Michigan left out there, the 4th down decision on the first drive (-3), the BS overturned TD/fumble (-7), and the 2 pick 6's (-14). Granted the pick 6's were a result of TCU making good plays, but those are the type of plays you don't plan for. The offense put up 45 and could have put up 55 points with 1 extra inch and a smarter 4th down decision. TCUs offense put up 37. This is no disrespect to TCU though Im sure anyone who is a TCU fan will disagree, but that felt like a one in a million murphy's law game. Michigan would have won 9 times out of 10 and its a damn shame (for me and anyone who watched the UGA-TCU game) that this was the reality we got.

@@iloveresses7277 100% agree. This is exactly what I try to tell people. Also, those interceptions weren't hard plays for the TCU defense. We threw the ball right at their players with open lanes to the end zone both times. They were so bad that they almost looked planned (I don't think they were planned).

  • @classiccountryrevival8563

Overturned td turned fumble has to be the luckiest call you can get in football. Not to mention the pick 6's and philly special. It's hard to emphasize the ridiculous events that had to align for tcu to win this game.
    Michigan wins 9/10

I thought this way for a few months, but really Michigan just has to punch it in from the goal line. Yes, they got hosed. The opportunity was still there.
If anything, the defense let them down. TCU had a great offense, but their last TD was inexcusable.
13-1 is a great season. Hopefully improvement continues!

This was a tough loss as a lot of it was self inflicted. That watching JJ battle back to within a TD to win it is amazing. A little more time, a little more luck and it's there. What I see here is the promise that we will see this fall. Go Blue!

As a Michigan fan, this is legitimately the first time I've gone back and watched any highlights of this game. I actually thought he did worse than I remembered. Don't get me wrong he had some really nice stretches, and the defensive pressure played a factor in some of his bad throws, but the kid had 7-8 turnover worthy plays in that game. The good news for next year as most of those throws seem fixable with experience. Bottom line Michigan didn't lose because their QB wasn't good enough, he's good enough.

Well, our offense outscored there's 45-37. The blown calls, picks sixes obviously hurt us but so did the D. 37 is a lot of points on this D. That said, if either of the pick sixes aren't thrown or if the SEC refs weren't so corrupt and eager to overturn Roman's TD so UGA could play TCU, Michigan wins.
It was their worst game of the season by far and they still had a chance to win. Doesn't make it hurt less, but at least we know Michigan is the better team and wins at least 8 out of 10; given there aren't SEC refs.

The officiating in this game has to be the worst I have ever seen in a playoff game. They screwed up spotting a ball on a play. How does that happen? And I am not talking about the horrendous call on the long throw to Roman Wilson. I’m talking about where Michigan got the ball when that play started. It was spotted 2 yards further back than it should have been. Also jesus Matt Weiss play calling in this game was awful. Fake screen pass qb run on the goal line? That play will never work. You don’t have time in that area of the field to try something that takes that long to develop. Your literally running your qb into an area that you just gave the defense a head start to plug up.
