The audio was obviously superimposed over Lanza singing a different song in his 1955 film "Serenade". (Joan Fontaine gives it away.) That being said his rendition of this song and many others is glorious. I posted my feelings on a more recent You Tube video of this song. I reprint it below: I first heard this recording 60 years ago. It was the fourth track of his 1954 LP "A Kiss and other Love Songs" which I had just bought. In 1960 I had recently become a Lanza fan and this, the second Lanza album I bought, I think was the finest of Lanza's original LP issues. Besides this and the title song, there were glorious renditions of "Long Ago and Far Away", "Sylvia"' Night and Day", "My Romance", and many others, a total of 16 tracks coming in at nearly an hour, much longer than most LP's in those days. Listening to this song again reminds me of what a magnificent voice Lanza had and how perfectly he enunciated the English language and phrased the lyrics. Listen to how how liquid his voice gets at the end of the word "kissable" and "permissable", how he stretches the word "fool" and "do" and follows it up by virtually caressing the word "love". It is why I do not lament the fact Lanza abandoned opera. There are a lot of great renditions of "Che Gelida Mannina", but no other tenor can touch Lanza in making even second rate American popular songs sound like art songs.
B-Flat!
Lanza recorded the gold standard version of this outrageously romantic song.
I just can't help but to love how he sings this song...so much passion and feeling. And it made Robinhood - Men in Tights a smash hit!
Is the heart emoji for the song or for Robin Hood -Men in Tights -tight tights! 🙂
Mario Lanza, great vocals.
Questa è la più bella dichiarazione d'amore che si possa fare! Chi potrebbe resistere ad una voce così?

I'd agree with you here about ML.
