  • In this video we go over my surefire EDCL1-T and EDCL2-T review. I've carried the EDCL2-T for years now and just last year picked up the EDCL1-T for when I didn't want to carry such a large light. To date, these are my absolute favorite EDC lights. It all started with the original Surefire LX2 Lumamax which I also touch on in this video. Enjoy!

Are the tailcaps switchable ? Will the edc2 tailcap work on the edc1 ? Is the edc2 clickable tailcap

Would be great if they offer a defencive light with this two stage button, light press high deep press strobe! But I think they dont offer strobe on any of their lights.

EDCL2-T doesn't have a way to attach a paracord does it? It looks like there's no loop for it like other models such as the Tactician.

You should try the Elzetta Z Line of Modular Flashlights. I like my Surefire lights, Streamlights, and Fenix lights etc. But Elzettas Modular series of lights crush them when it comes to durability, reliability, and complete customization. They never get hot either and maintain their rated output for much longer than the competition. Even my dimmer Elzetta Bravo with the older 650 lumen head is brighter for longer than all of my 1,000+ lumen Streamlights, Fenix lights etc.
The thickness and heat treatment of the metal combined with the fully potted electronics and user replaceable and interchangeable components like the 1 inch thick solid acrylic optical lens make my other lights look like toys. They are waterproof inside and out to which is nice because I have ruined other lights by getting water in them before.

I do like Elzetta and do think their stuff is bomb proof, there's more to a light though than just lumens and durability. In my opinion, there's a reason Surefire gets the government contracts...

The elzetta lights have really low candela. They are very overpriced for the mediocre specs the list..

@@Jon-ki2px They have a high candela head available if that's what you are looking for. I thought they were overpriced too until I gave them a shot. The build quality far surpasses every other brand and their customer service is top notch too. They stay above their lumen ratings for a decent amount of time and don't overheat or drop to half their output in 5 minutes like other brands. Their UI is great too.

If the twisting of the tail cap gave me an option to change between momentary on and a click on and off I’d be sold on this. But there are plenty of times you may want to turn a flashlight on and be able to set it down to use both hands and this flashlight will not afford you that opportunity, for that reason alone this light and the majority of the surefire line is useless to me.

I have a Surefire on my M4 that I bought years ago. Great light, but Surefire's are ridiculously over priced. There are so many companies that make lights that are just as good, and it some case better for literally half the price. Surefire needs to realize they are not the only player in the high end light game anymore.

You should square up that hat.
Then square up those cabinets with some knobs.
    Good video though 🇺🇸💪🏻

The A2 Aviator would also work great but it’s not going to be able to compete in the lumens department.

Hey man thanks for the encouragement, I'm still going forward with the youtube thing. For me, it's a fun hobby as I just like talking about this stuff anyway so I don't take it too seriously. Sometimes it begins to feel like a job and I just focus on my real jobs and other hobbies for a while. You're right though, multiple accounts is too much of a time suck. Everything I'm into will start to make its way onto this channel at some point. Good luck with your instagram stuff. Cheers brother!
