- We fix our Classic Mini with a Clutch Bleed and slave cylinder replacement.
If you ever had an issue and your gears so engage when the car ignition is on chances are you need to bleed the slave cylinder or even worse still need a new slave cylinder.
We do both on our original classic Mini and give you a how-to on how things are done.

Ive got a clutch that will only engage when the engine is off. It will drive if bump started in gear, but the gear cant be changed. Does this sound like the slave or something else. 1995 SPI mini if it makes much difference.
Yes 100% this is almost certainly the Slave, get onto Mini spares. C om website and make sure you get the right one and get it ordered! Very easy as you’d see from my video ❤️🙌 let me know how you get on.
