Clutch slave cylinder replacement on classic Mini

My classic Mini decided to give me a bit of a challenge, and chucked out all its clutch fluid. Thanks to Mini forums online and CZcams videos, I thought it might be the slave cylinder and decided to have a go at replacing it - my first repair job on the car. I've learnt several lessons along the way! Here they are, in case they benefit anyone else working on a classic Mini for the first time:
1. Get a set of metric and imperial spanners. (It's incredibly frustrating when you just don't have the exact one you need!)
2. Don't go by the year of the car when ordering replacement parts - look and see what's actually on the car, because previous owners will have changed and upgraded loads of things since it rolled out of the factory.
3. Keep a cloth over the paintwork when working on the car, to stop it getting scratched.
