HGV Training Brokers

Matt Alwright presents "You've Been Scammed". A series that highlight scams. In this particular episode Matt talks to 23 year Steve who paid £2400 to a HGV training broker. The company promised Steve, HGV training as well as a job after passing his test. In reality this HGV training broker only provided a medical and theory tests. Steve was left out of pocket with no licence and no job. The advice that comes from this program is visit the training provider before you part with any money. If you can go to a local reputable provider and avoid those who claim to be national providers as they don't exist.

The company was called Highway HGV. They went bust several years ago and the Director is currently serving time at her majesties pleasure.

I have my week of training starting Monday 12th of October which is next week, I passed all my 3 theory tests Hazards, Multiple and CPC. I called them few hours after that, they said congrats and within 3 hours they booked me a week of training in Enfield London full cat C then C+E I will pay for the course over a period of 1 year. I think its not a scam? The school is called LGV PCV training school London.

I got conned by HGV Express for over £1700 . sales man by the name of john offered me a job at Birmingham International Airport after my training with them. After I paid in full I did not hear from them again . If you look up their tax records (you can do this online ) I found out they only paid £1 in tax . I looked up their address on Google maps and was shocked at where they operated from . 😠😠😠

What's the name of this of mentioned company? Typical limp journalism. Dramatic story with no revelation except 'take care'.

same here with specialistforklifttraining.co.uk ..don't go there...it took me 3 months to take a test and coasted me a lot of money....
