#MarioKart - Hry
Really hoping they fix/add the missing sound effects in a future update
Waluigi Pinball has always been such a fun stage, and I'm really happy to see the changes covered with such great detail. Wonderful work!
Thanks so mcuh!
I wish the Mario Kart 8 version had anti gravity because anti gravity sections has bumpers and those would of work so well in a pinball track
I wish it had anti gravity
Me too
Same. Such a bummer
I don't think it adds much to the gameplay if it's going to be the same layout as the original. Sky-High Sundae for example doesn't even feel that different from Tour. We don't need Nintendo to just randomly add anti-gravity to courses.
Waluigi is too poor
for that
Me too
1 of the pinballs is already close to the main pinball table when exiting the launcher during lap 1 and the other pinball is what you encounter after the jump. The pinball going to the gap jump is also a bit faster than the previous pinballs in DS and 7. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also lacks the pinball lost sound when exiting the table back to the finish line. It can still be heard during the course intro, but that's what makes this course the top fan favourite. All those unique pinball sounds.
Good catch with the pinball speed! I noticed some speed differences that were difficult to pinpoint without prior knowledge of how the engine classes differ from game to game (although thinking back, a stopwatch may have worked, hitting it after exiting the launcher). The sound effects are covered at 9:25, but yeah, I did hear the ball out (referred to as 'drop out' in the video) sound effect in the intro as a background sound, but it definitely doesn't trigger the way it used to.
It's nice to finally have Waluigi Pinball on a home console.
but we already played it at home
@@knuclear200x When? The only games it's appeared in (prior to being added in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass) have been on portable consoles and mobile devices.
@@ghostxplatinum Every other day. That's when. Why, I'm playing it at home right now
@@knuclear200x There's a difference between a home console and a play at home console. Playing a portable console at home doesn't make it a home console dude.
@@ghostxplatinum Still played it at home. Even you did that.
I wonder how many people noticed that the Tour and Deluxe city backdrop is inspired my Las Vegas. Like you can't tell me that hot air balloon is not the same one from the Paris Casino! And the building holding the Waluigi Pinball sign looks similar to the Bellagio.
I feel like I'm the only one who's glad they reused the remix already in MK8. It would've been silly to have had two different versions of this song in the game. It keeps the spirit of both the original Waluigi pinball and Wario stadium alive.
3:16 *Here we GOOOOOO*
I feel like the pinballs move a lot faster than they ever did in Mario Kart DS, or Mario Kart 7.... I find myself getting hit by the pinballs a lot more in Mario Kart 8, even though I never had issues with it in DS, or 7....
In Mario Kart DS, 7, And Tour, There Were No Paratroopas On The Loop After The Ramp, But In 8 Deluxe, They Appear As Spectators
Definitely the greatest Mario Kart course of all time. Never change what isn’t broken. Already perfect 👍
1 week until Mario Kart 30th Anniversary
Nice!
I liked the imposing, almost creepy waluigi looming over the flippers, instead of the cardboard sign in this version
Same here
Very thorough analysis
Thank you!

I... did not know that was a thing!? I now need to know what other obstacles behave like this!
I was shocked, too! Try it with the train! I almost included it in this video since I had no idea during the development of the Kalimari Desert video.
every obstacle that can hurt you acts like this
The same thing happens with most other obstacles in the game, such as boulders in Bowser's Castle and Choco Mountain.
0:32 *Waluigi time*
9:38 I NEVER NOTICED THE CHANGE! THAT’S SO COOL!
My favorite Mario Kart DS course remaked... That's very cool. And making an comparison is also intresting too. 😉
Fun fact: the starting area of Tour's Waluigi Stadium has MK8's Big Blue ambience
Really wish they didn't just reuse the Wario Stadium theme, a new and improved true Waluigi Pinball theme would have been so amazing
yeah the wario stadium remix sucks i'd much prefer the smash remix lol
4:37 To me I think those are circuitry or faint city lights.
9:40 And a ringing that sounds like a telephone when u go down ;-; they didn’t put that :(
10:57 look waluigi on waluigi pinball doesint it look nice
5:18 *Waluigi Number One*
9:52 - Tour has better reflection on the pinball since it sharpens up when you get close to it, Mario kart 8 just uses a simple but ugly smear...also they should put a higher resolution of the reflection image on the table itself, and add some fake semi transparent reflections on the bumpers by doubling the geometry and flipping it upside down. Also, yeah!, return the pinball sounds, please!!! (and make some cute new ones while at it) As I said once before, MK in general needs stronger "crash/smash/got hit" sounds, so please Nintendo, I know you watch Gamexplain from time to time! ;)
Another Difference Is That There's A Jingle Near The End Of The Course, Which Was Removed In The Switch Remake.
Waluigi pinball looks so flashy in the new dlc
One big change… there are item boxes on the boost panels at the start now
That waluigi pinball is getting really good and great and so beautiful and new dlc too
I wonder why the bumpers have reflections on both the DS and 3DS but not Switch....?
No idea... Perpahs Nintendo forgot about that...🤔
the switch version uses cube maps for reflections, it was not noticeable in the main game, but in the bcp tracks, it is
The mk8dx version has a lot of parts of the track use a sort of cloth like texture, I'm surprised that wasn't pointed out
I like to think its like a wooly/velvet material which gives it a nice casino vibe.
@@tiekogalaxylatte8839 not only is it a casino look but a Las Vegas night look to it, the hot air balloon is actually the Paris balloon in the Las Vegas strip
9:47 that noise is in the course intro on 8 Deluxe.
You missed that the coins near waluigi in tour are textureless yellow plates, while in MK8 they actually have an "M" written on it, cool!
We have you covered! 8:57
The original one from mario kart ds will always be my favourite (this is what made Waluigi one of my favourite characters😁)
The dropout sound effect is still here. It plays at the intro of the level right at the end. Possibly Glitch?
Not a glitch, it’s intended
@@JTTunes1204 Oh really didn't know Thanks!
@@Cachoreen yeah, it’s to intend possibly the Pinball Machine booting up or smth
I think they added the trigger for the missing pinball sound, just either forgot to enable it or typed the code wrong. I would think they didnt add it from laziness if it didnt play in the intro, twice
@@TheEPICMarioBros2 not a code error if it was intended for the intro
You know there's a nintendo drought when gamexplain takes two weeks to review a few mario kart courses
That's been Nintendo pretty much all this year, eh? 2nd and 3rd parties carrying the load. REALLY hope this means something big eventually.
Do one for mushroom gorge all changes 🤔
I think up until now, not a single course in MK8DX had reused music for any of the tracks
10:52 MK TOUR> MK 8 Deluxe 😌
So you like spending hundreds to get one character alright 👍
no.
DS
@@linkspokemon4114 no, but he probably enjoys how you can get every mainstay that has ever been in Mario Kart which AREN’T high ends so you can get all of them after enough pulls for free. It’s mostly just reskins that are high end. The Tour haters such as yourself are looking at it the wrong way
The dice blocks behind the flippers were removed
I am going to say that the rails that the pinballs go on are also now red instead of yellow
When I first saw the bumpers in DS, I thought they were jelly cakes
The camera angles is very weird on the first slanted turns and I hope they fix the camera angle and add anti gravity to fix the camera angle while racing
Is it just me or does the Waluigi near the end of the course reference Wario’s image in Mario Power Tennis’ Wario Factory Court? (And yes, I noticed this in Mario Kart Tour.)
This seems to be the first track in _Mario Kart 8 Deluxe_ to reuse background music from another track already in the game. I was really hoping they'd remix it again for this track, or even just use the Waluigi Pinball theme from _Super Smash Bros._
This track is a good example of "if it ain't broke dont fix it "
This track is a lot harder without the lower screen telling you if a ball was sneaking up on you
I see this course as a Traditional Remaster as a way nintendo caan improve there lighting
But im ao glad its back and better than ever, i now consider it a crime to not play this course as waluigi
Definitely worth 25 bucks
Waluigi pinball was awesome Road and this IS The Time of Waluigi. I Believe Waluigi get his own game very soon. 🔥🔥
A Waluigi Gacha
Nintendo should just release a pinball game for waluigi, like a better take on the GBA mario pinball land concept and Nintendo can have a real pinball machine at nintendo world based on waluigi.
*Too bad Waluigi time*
Also, what’s your personal favorite Booster Course Track so far? Least favorite?
😎
Say it's Saturday should play Mario Party?
I miss that the main pinball part isn't "mirrored" anymore I really liked that made it seem that it was just incredibly shiny
This track needs an antigravity section!
I feel like (in a way) they made the rainbow cannon tunnel in the beginning of Waluigi Pinball in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a little too bright for the eyes to see. That probably wouldn't be healthy for people who can get seizures.
@@chrisperry1985 Hmm. You must be lucky then.
@@chrisperry1985 Alright sure, I get that.
Waluigi Pinball should've had antigravity
They didn't put anti gravity
Weeb
Because it's a copy of tour but brighter
I think is a pretty good track and remake. Some things were better on the original in my opinion but the newest version is incredible. There are just few things that dissapointed me.
1. The lights. Despite being so cool, like you know, this is a port from Tour and the lightning is not as good as in other tracks. It makes my eyes hurt. Like the minerals on Choco Mountain.
2.The floor. WHY IT HAS A WOOL TEXTURE WTH?
3. The music. Is the first Mario Kart 8 Deluxe track with a music repeated and despite being hight quality and so good, I think It doesn't fit with the track. This track needed a different version...
4. The antigravity. I knew they wouldn't add antigravity so is not surprising to me. But for future games, this track is on of the most that needs antigravity, almost all track except the finish line part.
But anyway, this track is sooooo good. And I hope It gets better on future.
It's a pinball machine and we are shrunk down to race on it...it wouldn't make sense for a pinball machine to have anti-gravity, but I agree with u on ur other points.
@@AK_804 pinballs are usually vertical or almost. If they just change a little angles the track like the last part of Mount Wario would even fit like a normal pinball. That is why.
Finally someone agrees that the music doesn’t feel right in this version. The remix for 8 fit really well with Wario Stadium since that track has its own unique feel, but it doesn’t really translate to Waluigi pinball, and I wish they redid it
@@jackmcnally8706 OFC I don't like the music.
After seeing the tracks would be ports, I started to be more hyped with the music. And like I said, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the first game with no repeated tracks. When I saw Waluigi pinball datamained, I really hoped they would give It something more techno or that. But lazy Nintendo didn't do anything again.
Unafortunately because the soundtrack is AMAZING.
i dont like most of the changes and i personally like the ds version the most
Foo Mario
Dont ask Nintendo to listen; they will just try harder to not listen out of spite.
no change
The reflection in the arena is awful. They should have used the old technique to reflect bumpers
NGL...the DS version was best. Change my mind. 😤
I think the DS version has the most charm
@@TheEPICMarioBros2 RIGHT?!

It's noteworthy because it's your greatest achievement.
Waluigi pinball is overrated tbh
*you have provoked a gang war*
