Hi! I always love spending some time with you. Thanks for reminding me of the Brady Tarot. It really is beautiful and confronting.
I just found out that shes working on an oracle. I cant wait to see it.

Thanks for sharing! I have the same thing going on with Lili White and Black tarot although I don't want to get rid of those decks for now. Too beautiful.

I noticed recently that there is a new edition of the Bonefire coming out soonish (September I think).
Fingers crossed that will have better cardstock!
I love that deck to bits in theory, but the cardstock of the MM is just too horrible.

Hi Allie, I'm always happy when I see you've put another vid out! I think it would be really fun to see you do a reading for yourself or for the collective (or maybe just a recap of the reading/experience afterward) using some of these decks that you mentioned struggling to connect with, but wanting to give another go. I'd also love to see how you read with your favorite pip decks or with Antique Anatomy, which is also so minimalist, as I still feel intimidated by those decks. I'm curious what you just backed on KS? (I recently backed the Traditional Korean Tarot on KS --not because I know anything about Korean culture, but because the cards just made me feel so happy, haha!)
    Some of my responses:
1 What is the deck they’ll have to pry out of your cold dead hands? -Tarot Renard is the closest I've come to a soul deck, so I should probably give Lilliwhite by the same artist another look.
2: What’s your guilty pleasure deck? -I interpreted this as a deck that I enjoy, but feel a little embarrassed about enjoying, such as Sprit of the Animals oracle, which is so cutesy and cheesy that it almost makes me cringe, but I enjoy it anyway.
8: What deck is over your head or just baffles you? -The guidebook for Next World Tarot is so frustrating, because often the writing is just so muddled that I can't find a cohesive message within it, even though I love so much about the deck!
9: What deck surprised you? -Sasuraibito -didn't think I really loved the art, but dang is it a good reader!
11: What deck is your favorite gilded deck? -The Gentle Tarot, the only deck I own with a soft, matte, yet shimmery gold gilding. Shiny gilding sometimes works, like on Influence of Angels Tarot, which I like to pull out around Christmas time (the shiny gold matches the season to me. btw, that one just got released in linen, and is a surprisingly good deck!) I cut the shiny gilding off of Sasuraibitio and Mystical Moments, which was a big improvement!
12: Which deck do you love - but hate the card stock? -Northern Animal Second Ed. The only deck where I've completely bent a card. wah!
13: What deck gives you the willies? -Those Nicoletta Ceccoli ones!
15: What deck do you love in theory but not in practice? -Dreams of Gaia is fantastic, but it feels like such a time commitment, because I really need the guidebook on the minors. And it frustrates me that the creator, despite very lengthy guidebook entries, doesn't address all the rich, specific symbolism on the cards or her artistic choices at all!
18: What deck could you NOT bring yourself to buy? -Unfolding Path, because Lightseers is just prettier to me (although maybe now that it's mass market, I'll cave).

OMG, we have such similar taste!! I keep circling around the Sasuraibito - when I look at the art, it doesn't seem like my vibe, but everyone LOOOVES that deck. Seconded on the Nicoletta Ceccoli decks *shudders*. And I've also been hemming and hawing about the Tarot Renard, and also the BOO Tarot, although I think I might have preferred it without the glittery bits. The art is SOOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUTE THOUGH

That's a great idea for a video - to try working with some of my "stickier" decks that I am reluctant to reach for. Maybe I can do that next week...

@@darkfaetarot I have never used it either, and I definitely don't think you need it. It's so faithful to the Smith-Waite.
