I just think your conclusion is correct. Based on that Tesla did not update the brakes, suspension or steering rate for spirited driving as you called it. Think all the engineers thought about when it came to this model, was going fast in a straight line. That being said you would think they would have improved braking system. The combination of the speed it is capable of and weight of the vehicle.
