    Very good review but a few points you said where wrong fuel consumption isn't terrible I regularly get 40 plus mpg on 20 mile work runs I have a 22 plate facelift GT and my wheels are the same as the pre facelift not the new ones you showed The car as you said handles well but I totally agree with the damn exhaust note even though I don't have the artificial sound in mine is quite noisy

    nice comparison. I bought proceed gt about half year ago its amazing car. What catched my ear is when you were talking about fuel consumption. I drive quite dynamicaly but my fuel consumtion dont reach over 8l of fuel per 100km.

    very nice comparison. congrats,. i am a new owner of the proceed GT my24. i got mine in november and like you said i fell in love with it. in romania the add-on policy is a bit more relaxed so i was able to get almost all i wanted the way i wanted and kept the car in a viable bugdet. the cost was still huge but i really wanted a GT version and compared with the other car manufacturers it still have 6000 euro short than the next option. I would say i don't consider it a sport car, rather a familly car with attitude, my sons like to ride with me in the car and they enjoy it. my wife not so much mainly to the noise you mentioned also in the normal mode. funny enough she was the first one to drive it outside of the city and she did mention the car feels incredible. consumption wise i made a choise knowing this car will not be economical. i also have a i30 fastback, now my wifes car, with a 1.4l that engine is economical, can go down to 5l/100km if driven smart, but then again it's not fun to go steady 90 on a straight road for a long period of time. all in all Kia proceed GT is the car i saw when i got the i30 but at that time budget wise the hyundai won by a 7000 euro difference and i was thinking i may never get the chance to get the kia. today i can say none of them disapoints. i like both cars for different reasons. oh and the colour yes, red is a no go for GT, i chose mine blue and the contrast of red lines on a blue base car is incredible. everyone that have seen the car love it. if there is 1 thing i regret is not having the 8DCT gearbox as an option. the 7DCT one is not that great all in all, even if they producer said it has better performance. i did not like it when i tested on the hyundai and got a manual then, i am still not a fan now :) but hey if that's the only drawback, i can live with it. you mentioned the cluser as you like the analog, i prefered digital, and chose the supercluster fo 12,5" i can say it's actually quite nice, there is no reflection on it but it's a shame the map representation works only with the car navigation system and not with the AA or Carplay. and the most useless thing i can say it is the voice recognition commands. purely in english only, half of the time doesnet even get what i say and you cannot customise, record commands or train for voice recognition. that is just sad. other producers did a lot better here. value for money, i would buy the car again 10 out of 10.

      Hi, im considering getting one myself as even though they stopped producing 1.6 TGDI they still have some in stock. What consumption do you actually get on average and why is the lowest you can go in it? I will have it for daily use so I would like to know both sides if possible. Plus do you have or had any mechanical or other problems with the car? Thanks in advance

      @@vojtechdrahokoupil6553 Moje osobní zkušenost: Cestou do Rakouska jsem se dostal s dodržováním jejich dálničních limitů v pohodě na 6,2 l/100km. Pro auto je dálniční přesun do 130 km/h jedním z nejekonomičtějších režimů jízdy, bez problémů se drží okolo 6,5l/100 km, a to i na D1 z Prahy do Brna, kde jsou kopce, kde je často potřeba zrychlit. Okresky, tam je to horší. Auto láká ke sportovnější jízdě, při svižné jízdě, nikoliv jízdě nadoraz, jsem v tom tak za 8,5. Ale bavím se. Když pojedu ekonomicky, budou tam nějaké kopce, tak dejme tomu 7,5l/100. Pokud bych jel na stále na výkonovém maximu, může to být okolo 10l/100, ale tu zkušenost nemám, jen odhaduji. Ve městě jezdím cca 7 litrů/100 km. Kombinaci (palubní počítač se nuluje po každém natankování a nádrž je relativně malá) odhaduji na 7,5l/100 km s tím, že se snažím jezdit slušně, ale občas si udělám radost. Tu tohle auto udělat umí, občas se projedu jen tak. Je to zábavné, řidičské auto. S přihlédnutím k tomu, že se jedná o stále ještě relativně levné rodinné auto, je to super. Hezky jsem si s tím zajezdil večer na Glockneru, kdy už tam byl mizivý provoz. Pokud chce někdo vyloženě úsporné auto, tak asi 1.5T-GDI. 1.6 je velmi závislá na jízdním stylu, když se akceleruje, spotřeba roste, ale baví mě.

      @@vojtechdrahokoupil6553 hi, to answer you honestly i am not a eco driver man so my consumption varies from drive to drive. the Bucharest traffic is horrid and my consumption is around 10l/100km but if the traffic gets a bit relaxed and i can actually drive it stabilises around 8-8.5l/100km. on the highway at around 130km/h the consumption is around 7-7.5l/100km depending on elevation and on national roads with 90-100km/h speed limit the consumption drops to even 6.2l/100km. that being said if you drive like a maniac (and sometimes you might) the fuel consumption can go upsometimes adding 2 more liters to the previous mentioned averages. in term of mechanical problems i had none. and i don't hope i will. i just passed the 8000km marker with the car on the odometer and the only complaint i have is about the rain sensor. it works, but i seriously would have loved to give the option to have a manual override on the frequency of wipper speed sometimes. it's full auto on the first selection and no matter if you set it for low or fast the wipper speed is adjusted by how much the sensor can detect. to be fair, if consumption is one of the issues you have a recommend you go with the non-GT version the GT-line with the 1.5 T-GDI. whille not as powerfull as the 1.6 T-GDI the consumption is less also. interior wise you can get the same options so it's all about the engine power that you want. i do recommend get the LED lights, they make a huge difference in the night.

    The “PRND” at the bottom of the phone chargers is purely for emergency purposes in the event the screen goes bad. It is NOT meant to be used for anything else that’s why it’s not lit up. Any and all backup systems on anything is typically hid away because it’s not to be used except for backup purposes.

    The Tesla Plaid is the best and yes it is also sports car even better then sports car, if you want the sharper handling, it is there in Track mode. To drive a with firm suspension as you seem to desire, just enable it. Looks like you don't understand in good advanced technology ah? The plaid is advanced super machine !!

    For improved handling there is a “Track Mode” didn’t see that on the review You can adjust any parameters and also changes the damping. Then there is the track package with carbon ceramics that takes care or the poor braking, increases limits to 200 MPH and further enhances the damping calibration specifically for track use in track mode. Nurburgring lap time is 7:25 on that set up However for track purposes it is too heavy

    The car is a grand tourer at heart, and amazing at it. However, if you want the sharper handling, it is there in Track mode. To drive a with firm suspension as you seem to desire, just enable it. Watch AutoTrader's review on track. Their conclusion: It's the best.

    I just think your conclusion is correct. Based on that Tesla did not update the brakes, suspension or steering rate for spirited driving as you called it. Think all the engineers thought about when it came to this model, was going fast in a straight line. That being said you would think they would have improved braking system. The combination of the speed it is capable of and weight of the vehicle.

    This 2024 model is beautiful. My 2021 is now 4 years older and the tech now is already so much more advanced. Humbly, I will say, my wife and I are very fortunate to have been able to purchase an assortment of expensive luxury and exotic cars through the years. Even with raising 7 kids. Just to name a few: BMW Alpina B8 Maybach 600 Bentley Flying Spur S Class just some noteworthy mentions. Not to shabby for a guy who was homeless at 17! I turned that situation into a positive. So, happened to have a very expensive hobby these days, which is car collecting. I mainly lean towards exotics 11 in all, corvettes 17 C1's thru C8's, and 14 muscle cars. I just recently gifted my wife a 2023 Aston Martin DB 11 630 hp twin-turbo V12 coupe. Simply because I really like her and I can. It's a far cry from the cars we drove when we were first got married 39 years ago. I actually like it better than the Maybach I drive. It just so happened to show up on my birthday, so I made sure she realized the connection! Yes, no typo. It's now her daily driver along with her 2022 C8 Corvette LT2 Z51. She really enjoys driving them!!!!! Although I am an exotic guy myself, I am adding a 2024 C8 Z06 to the fleet. It has 175 more hp than my wife's C8, toting a 5.5 liter V8 pushing 670 hp. 0-60 in 2.6 sec. The first American Exotic car in my opinion. My wife does have access to our exotic coral, which we do drive most of them occasionally. A few we even track, which is not often enough, according to her! Remember, a happy wife makes for a life😊 She tells me the DB 11 gets a lot of head turns. I tell her, "Don't kid yourself its her they are checking out." Yes, she is a perfect 10 in every category! No question, she's hotter than any of the exotics! Meŕry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    I see VW as a "just enough" car company. Give them just enough to equal the competition. Thing is, equaling the competition will not inspire anyone to look at or move over to VW. If VW wants new customer to switch brands or get new drivers to consider it, then it needs to do something special all the others brands do not. For now, there's nothing compellingly different about VWs to be of any interest. Being just good enough is not enough. At least not in the North American market. If I were in charge at VW I would have started off all the flagship new models with high-performance R versions just to get everyone's attention and get people talking and then trickle down to the lesser models. Just take a page from Tesla. They introduced their "Beast" 3 motor Cybertruck right out of the gate with no waiting for it to arrive a year later. Instead, its the least expensive single motor model that will arrive later down the line. Just look how everybody's talking about the Cybertruck, even with all it quirks and despite being super hideous inside and out. The new Passat is above what it used to be but only by a bit. Its still well below the Arteon its suppose to replace. It won't be turning any heads anytime soon. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind the boring exterior as long as it performed, so call me when the R version is introduced. Hopefully, the next Golf R will upgrade to Brembo brakes (like its competition) if it wants to continue to be taken seriously. If it can hit 60 faster and stop quicker it will get everybody's attention. Release more Rs VW. That's the performance R, not R-Line. BTW, always say how tall you are so we get a better idea when space and fit of the car. Especially head room.

    And this comparison might explain why this or next year Tesla would surpass Audi in sales. Keep in mind Tesla has already surpassed Audi in revenues and profit and in terms of assets Tesla is a much bigger company now. The Germans are clearly struggling to make good EVs and their real advantage now is basically suspension and brake systems. That's it! Their cars are not as fast, the charging infrastructure is not realiable or anywhere near Tesla, the tech inside is basically whatever the tech sector can give us which is still nowhere near Tesla. In any high-end Tesla you basically have PS5 hardware inside and access to steam. You can even plug mouse and a keyboard and play games. You have access to the FSD which doesn't have a competition from Germany. I mean not just Audi but all German brands are not competitive at the moment. Their relevance comes mostly from their name

    Model S Plaid with make this Audi looks like it is going in reverse gear in any race. These Audi are just too slow, too overpriced, too overhyped and the worst is that these car manufacturers keep releasing new EV every other week without thinking or investing in any charging infrastructures that can compete with Tesla's vast and reliable supercharger networks. No matter how good a Ferrari is, it is just useless without having petrol stations around.

      Everyone that buys a car doesnt need it to be the fastest on earth. Id buy 67 el camino, Taycan, or this etron any day over a tesla. Simply because of they design or how they feel. People need to learn how to turn that ego down.....its just a car. Too much ego involved on the streets these days. When you say overpriced, overpriced for who? If you haven't noticed a lot people buy cars as a status symbol and nothing more. People buying to 200k cars dont care about the price or charging station. Just like a person buying a diesel f250 doesnt give a shit about gas. Ferrari is a status symbol. No one that buys a Ferrari gives a shit about a EV being "faster." Even tesla owners be like "oh but this is the Plaid."..... ........its just a car and everyone's reason for buying one may not be the same as the next person's

    That Audi seems incredibly overpriced for its performance. Sure its got better leather stitching and panel gaps but paying double for that? No way. Also don't like the childish-aggressive look.

    I own a Tesla model 3 with the 19' bigger rims and it feels like a go-kart. I Don't have any problems cornering in it and combined with the instant torque it is a blast to drive.

    Where did you see tesla model 3 under 30k? On tesla website it says 28k but it does not mean it is true. If you calculate basic model 3 with financing, it comes to 49k!

      Ya they kinda missed the mark there on their basic research. The dual motor performance is easily more than 30k.
