Go habs go ❤
Would love to see Florian Xhekaj and Luke Tuch joining the ranks in the next three years. The Canadians will have good size and skill players on each line. Slaf-Suzi-Cole, Newhook-Dach-Roy, Tuch-Beck/Dvorak-Anderson, Xhekaj-Evans-Gallagher
Canadiens need to get much much tougher along the boards.
Pierre states he is surprised or amazed Macklin has 29 or so goals but if he actually watched any of those games "I have watched many"Hutson and Macklin have had zone/puck control for VERY long periods long cycles and struggle to even get a shot on net.If macklin was a super star with the amount of chances and zone possession he gets he should have 40 goals.
The problem as I have seen it is that Macklin gets caught up in Hutson's perimeter game always playing on the outside and it hampers production which between the two could be MUCH higher.
Is there any concern about a goalie that is only 6’1? I know Halak and quite a few other goalies were shorter but is this a real disadvantage?
I've said it before ill say it again talk to LA and do whatever it takes to get Byfield.. Suzuki Caulfield slafkovsky, Dach Byfield Newhook all we need up front. Mathason Mesar, Harris and 2 1st cgy wpg.. Make it happen Byfield is perfect for our group..
it makes me happy when things i say are confirmed by pundits .
Pierre got dealt by Sens PD. Too bad he had been dismissed by PD before Andlauer got there. I think his insight is incredible. The guy is such a student of the game.
sorry "dealt bad hand"
Which Montreal D man do we trade to get Svetchnikov. 6-2/200 [10 hits per 60 minutes.] .....[Ghule 4.7 hits per 60 mins] ??
sick
Hughes said himself after drafting Slaf and trading for Dach that they wanted to add size....
Indeed and Hutson needs to get a lot bigger if he really wants to be an NHL star instead of just a 3rd pairing defenseman/powerplay specialist !!!
Suzi reminds more of Ryan O’Reilly rather than Sakic, who was a more dynamic skater- fast. Bowen Byram is a terrific top pairing, but with concussion issues. Middlestad is a perfect #2. Great trade. Agreed, Guhle is untouchable. Zebras is soft and expensive. Have patience, and go get Quinn from the Sabres.
Byram isn't a top pairing defenseman on Buffalo. He isn't in the class of Dahlin or Power (concussion issues or not).
Fowler ❤ but still College, short at 6’-1” , Lane Hutson the same hype, as tiny Caulfield, gets manhandled in NHL playoffs. Cayden Lindstrom could be a impact center-a Canadian kid. 6-3 210 already. Habs need a true #1 center. No Cup team has just a 1B center. Suzi is great, a pt per game guy…doing much better in face offs now, but who is the other center?
I really hope we can get Lindstrom if we don’t land the first pick. The Russian goalie the canadiens drafted last year looks good too
Unless Montreal finished top4/top5 or win a lottery pick, Lindstrom will not be available to them. As last year, Montreal keeps stealing points which hurts them at the draft !!
Suzuki is a real 1st center lol guy playing with a 19 years old that didnt even play a full season yet.. and young caufield... put a Pasternak Kucherov or a Mackinnon or other star that are 27 28 years old with him..he probably put up 90 100 points... hes no 1b center.. hes a true #1 playing with kid in development..i can add that our d corpse is about 75% in the same boat.. there nos kid that have play a full season yet outside of matheson and savard. back there.... and we already beat good team this year.. give them 3-4 full years.. im not too worried about that team tbh.. the box is full of asset..and that's Bergevin work not moving picks for rental.. sadly it cost him is job in a pretty bad injuries start 2 years ago.. Bergevin did a tremendus job and everyone throw rocks at him ! Hugues will take all the credit with what Bergevin start to build 4 years ago...
Making steadfast decisions in direction is imo a dumb move because you ALWAYS want to consider ANY trade you are offered.A GM should not stand pat on a slow rebuild and imo they never do they just say that as a crutch to lean on if taking too long to build a team into a contender.
By the time the Habs get rid of a few bad contracts it will be time to pay some prospects so they will never have cap space to make any HQ impact trades.
Trends ..pffft Dallas hardly hits anyone and is a top contender it is all about your star power and depth Dallas has 3 lines going Winnipeg has 3 lines going and teams like Colo and NYR and Vncr have really good first lines that can carry their teams.
People saw Vancouver bully MTL but MTL is arguably the softest team in the league and the lame coach St.Louis put a harness on Arber which makes MTL even more a soft team.
Did Gorton learned french yet ?
🤣😂🤣😂😂
That was hilarious, Gorton has a great sense of humor!
Ducks and Habs need a third team to get in the middle...
Gorton imo will only leave for a President's job like Dubas. Actually the Columbus owner should be calling him to replace Davidson who approved such idiotic moves as signing Babcock and Gaudreau.
We all have to be PATIENT...!! The pieces ARE coming together...Hughes will be adding scoring ...AND a #1 goaltender...!!! The PLAYERS will dictate who will stay ...and who will go .!! Moving forward ...the prospect / draft inventory is looking very promising ..!! Two more years ...THEN ...Look out !! 😊😊😊
