    The Church that Jesus built is the Church of Christ Romans 16 verse 16. We are the ground and pillar of the Truth. It is so refreshing to listen to a Christian that seeks to see Jesus in His Kingdom through your study of the Word of God. Our study and exchange of wisdom in the Word of God allows us to understand and clearly see Jesus in Spirit and in Truth the same way Jesus intended for us to know see and walk with our King and Savior.

    I would just like to thank you for sharing these sermons and making them available to people across the world! Our family is currently living in Japan and we have very few church options available in our area; we are from Oklahoma and have always had the gift of having strong churches around, so this has been my biggest point of culture shock! Being able to listen to these messages with sound doctrine and solid scriptural support has been a major blessing! Thank you so much for sharing!

    I appreciate you for having the courage and love to address a very important, and sometimes difficult subject. I have a question : which version of the Bible are you using, and could you recommend 2 or 3 others for reading and study?

    • @LGministry
      @LGministry  Před 7 lety +2

      Thanks for your kind words. I primarily use NKJV but not because it's better than other versions, it's just the main one I have always used. No translation is with out its flaws, but I also like ESV, ASV, and the MLV. I think it's always good to look at several versions to see what words they use in the verse. It's also good to look up the definitions of the Greek words as the will give a fuller meaning of what is being said. If you have an smart phone or tablet I would recommend the BLB app Blue Letter Bible. It's free and has some pretty powerful tools.

    It would be more effective if you can go a bit slower esp when you quote verses esp for old people like me. thanks

    • @LGministry
      @LGministry  Před 3 lety

      I appreciate the input. I understand as people age, that it becomes more difficult (in general) for them to process what is being said. If all I was speaking to were older people who are challenged in this way, I would slow everything down. Since I preach to broad audience, I have to chose a speed that will not make me seem dry to others or too fast for most to understand. So, I try and maintain a happy medium.
      However, I have a suggestion for you that you might find helpful. Did you know that you can speed up or slow down a video using CZcams? On computer, you can click on the gear at the bottom right and you will see playback speed. Change it to .75 and it will slow the video down. You can go slower if you want. This feature is also available on phones and tablets, but it may be in different location than on a PC. For those who want to make me go faster, you can speed me up this way as well. Personally, I usually speed up videos 2.0 to 3.0 faster. I hope this helps. I thank you for listening to my lessons.

    I love your sermons. I hear people talk about them being prophets and the laying of hands. I think they are telling lies. Am I crazy? Joyce Lopez

    In mark 16:16-20 since the apostles were the ones who received the gift of miracles, does these verse applicable to us now even though a person believes and got baptized?

    I'm not certain I understand what it means for the Holy Spirit to dwell in us "representatively"

  • @Will4fun
    @Will4fun Před 6 lety

    I am a little confused with this. If we ask for "wisdom" or "purity", are we not able to pray directly to the Holy Spirit? Or, do we ask the Father to have the Holy Spirit help us?

    • @Mark-jh8lo
      @Mark-jh8lo Před 5 lety

      Romans 8:26 sheds light on the Holy Spirits work in prayer. Jesus modeled pray when he prayed, Our Father in heaven ... " Our prayers are to God and conclude in Jesus name. In other words we come to God in prayer by what Jesus has done for those who obey the gospel. Jesus is the reason we can even call God our Father. In prayer the Holy Spirit intercedes beyond the prayer we offer up, in groanings too deep for us to understand. Example, when I pray to God to "help me" the Holy Spirit could offer up in this prayer the need for "strength, a greater passion for His Word, the help for dealing with pride". I asked for help, the Holy Spirit could more accurately speak to that need. Hope this helps. These videos are well divided!

    Wow according to him The Holy Spirit took away the gifts of the Holy Spirit. SCARY STUFF.

    • @LGministry
      @LGministry  Před 5 lety +3

      The miraculous gifts were limited. There is no purpose for them today. Their main purpose was to prove that Jesus was the Son of God and to prove that the words that we have in N.T. were actually from God. We have the completed Word now. Nothing scary about it.

    • @Mark-jh8lo

      @@LGministry and what is comforting to Christian's today is that since, "that which is perfect is come" we no longer have to rely on "did you hear the new teaching" or hear the new prophecy as they would have then. Gods word eliminates the need for all those gifts. If those gifts had continued they would serve zero purpose because we do not have to confirm Gods Word, we have it. Excellent work brother!!
