      @@archael18 ya okay lol I've been using both for a long time. 30° for both. Every dewalt has stopped working in less than 6 months framing with them every day. The milwaukees haven't had a single issue. In fact dewalt has had two of them for almost a year now and can't even fix them or wont. They keep sending it from place to place making excuses. They are garbage for anything besides using them a few times a year for diy projects lol

    I have the DeWalt 21-degree cordless. For what it is not it makes up for and what it is. Personally speaking I love the fact that I don't have to lug an compressor around and deal with a hose for small jobs. The nailer is at times inconsistent. The magazine capacity is an issue. You can't even fit two strips of collated nails in it. I have to brake a strip in half to fully load the magazine. The rafter hook is completely useless. The Dewalt 15 and 18 gauge nailers is are beasts though. No real complaints owning them. The wind up noise is a little annoying at first, but I don't even notice it anymore now. Honestly it's better than hearing a compressor run all day.

    I started using dewalt tools about 12 years ago. I had all 18v line of tools now I have almos all the 20v. I have the 21° framing, 18 and 16 gauge. I love them. It gets the job done and not overpriced. I payed $200 for the framing and $100 for the finishing nailers (tool only) ($25 for a 2ah battery, $40 for 4ah) brand new from a reseller (they buy tools by the pallets and sell them cheap)

    I have 2 of the dewalts. Just because all my other tools are dewalt. So it doesn't make since to change. Battery life is good and the performance is great. Only issue is you will definitely have to change the return springs after a long time of extremely hard use. Which is very easy to do and only costs like $20. I've had them a few years and that's been the only issue.

      I honestly made a massive switch this year from dewalt to milwaukee. It has cost me thousands but if I'm being honest my dewalt tools were always breaking. Maybe it's just bad luck. I know some of my guys also treat them like shit. (That's why I don't them use them anymore) but honestly it was the best choice I have ever made tool wise. I bought the milwaukee 31° and will never look back. It only felt awkward and heavy for the first day or two. Now I will take it over any other . (Although I have Jerard the senco framing nailer is incredible but the price is insane. Either way our tools are our pride and joy at work or at home and whatever you have doesn't matter if you are getting the job done . Stay well my fellow tool enthusiasts

    Thanks for video, i have been working with dewalt, when its brand new it shoots well, after couple months of use it got weaker and now it can only work as plywood nailer for short nails only, no more framing nailer.
    It happened like this on the second gun already, so im pretty sure thats how they are. They get tired pretty soon.
    Ill definitely have to try milwauke with hope that it will keep shooting with same power for much longer time than dewalt.

  • @endurokotrba743
    @endurokotrba743 Před 2 lety +6

    I bought the Dewalt when it first came out because it was a 21 degree and those nails were cheaper and easier to find than 30 degree, 6 months later I bought another one. I have built several homes and a bunch of remodels with these nailers and they work great. It took a little time to get used to the timing of the "wind up" but its not a big deal. I have had problems with the return spring breaking, cheap and easy repair, but now the driver has broken on one and the other driver is worn so much it doesn't engage with the wheel (if you have seen the inside you know what I'm talking about). Now the driver is not available so I may be stuck with a bucket of parts.
    One issue I think needs to be addressed is the hook, it could be better. I don't trust it hanging in the rafters anymore after watching it drop to the floor. Another thing is I wished it could drive 3-1/2" nails.

    I've only used a old passload so far, but both of these guns seem to be pretty capable, bump stop firing Is a luxurious thing and if you were in an awkward position you don't have to push in for a second to fire and potentially miss. Also with noise, you're likely to use earmuffs anyway regardless of what framing gun you use. I'm going to look up what these guns use for mechanisms.

    Ive had the dewalt for the last couple years, just picked up a milwaukee on clearance the other day, cant wait to try it out. For my dewalt, I had to switch to .121 nails because it just couldnt sink .131s at all. So I just shoot an extra one to meet code. On shorter nails, for whatever reason it somtimes mis-strikes the head and folds the nail over, completely marring the work piece. And it jams at least 3-5 nails out of 100. so that sucks. Excited to try the milwaukee! Though I do like that I can get the 21 degre nails wet and they wont fall apart like the paper ones. Also saw some videos of the milwaukee being able to shoot both 21 and 30 degree nails by just swapping the extended magazines... so that definitely something to think about too.

He used it one day and got ride of it because it was to much to work with on a daily basis. Both are great nailers. I will end up getting the Milwaukee since that is my battery line and because i am not a full time framer just a renovator/ DIYer. If I were a full time framer I would probably go for a Pasload as it is the lightest.

    I've owned several of the Dewalt guns and put them to the test on framing sites over the years. They work good, but they're so fragile compared to say my Paslode gas nailers. The only thing they have going for them over Paslode is the no fuel cell thing. I've had to send the Dewalt in for repair a few times due to 8ft drops onto wood subfloor. I can honestly say I've never broke a paslode from dropping it other then a battery that got ejected out of the gun when the gun rolled down a flight of stairs once. The hook on the Dewalt really sucks also. It's plastic and flexes under the weight of the gun on your belt unlike Paslode. So it's too easy to drop when climbing around. I'll be buying this Milwaukee next purchase over the dewalt just because the hook issue and the Milwaukee seems to be a more rugged design then the Dewalt.

    The Senco is released next month. BTW, the Senco comes from a company that actually makes their own Framing nails in the USA from USA Produced Steel Rod at their own factory. The new Senco Tool will be field serviceable and will use their next generation Fusion Technology, which uses pressurized air to drive your nails. This system is far more predictable with depth of drive over the cone clutch (And much simpler). Cone clutches use cables connected to a driver and a transmission system that you need a masters degree to repair. The Senco will also drive a .148 Shank Nail. No matter who's non-butane cordless gun you purchase, you are more then likely using Senco Original Technology.

Many dirty job sites and I have made over 3000 potato boxes with it. I have had only few small problems with it: Screws walk off, easy fix just little bit locktite. The Milwaukee was able to shoot threw cement siding and into the stud , my dewalt wouldn’t sink one ! The trim gun dosnt always sink the nail and leaves marks in trim . Cleaning them frequently helps a lot but working along side my buddy With the red platform I see the difference first hand . I also bought there xr impact and drill set and the impact won’t hold bits within a year and the drill won’t even move the chuck . I still like the 60 volt tools I have but the quality isn’t what it should be .
