Why aren’t more people talking about how John started playing “Under Pressure” after Freddie said “You can take all your clothes off if you'd like to” like that was really clever 😂
Montreal was one of their best concerts...Only second to Milton Keynes Bowl- I like the set selection..Freddie is on keys a lot this concert, and I love that!
I don’t know if anybody else notices but actually at the end of the guitar solo Freddie plays “good old fashioned lover boy” on the piano before moving on to “I’m in love with my car” just wanted to point this out!
I was so confused at first because this was 1981 but then i looked it up and it turns out Under Pressure was released as a single in 1981 and then included on Hot Space in 1982
Thankyou ricky hawlen, i am amazed at how many people are disrespectful about john deacon's voice - ignorance is really no excuse for making snide and false comments about such a talented and generous performer. There are many live concerts on youtube where john can very clearly be heard singing backup vocals ('in the lap of the gods' during 'hungarian rhapsody' concert/queen live in budapest is a great example). Also, freddie talks in a couple of interviews (documentaries on youtube) about john's voice being crucial during live performances to enrich/layer out specific chorouses or phrases for various songs. John had a lovely voice with excellent pitch and was probably selfdeprecating about his singing because he was shy and modest, also possibly selfconscious about his leicester accent ('regional' accents in the uk were heavily stigmatised during john and freddie's long career as performers/musicians), also john naturally felt unwilling to project his voice too much as he was very happy for freddie's gorgeous tone to be heard clearly as possible . In the studio the band always recorded multiple layers of freddie singing (even when roger or brian recording backups), to create harmonies etc, because they all understood (john most especially, and all credit to him for his good taste!) that freddie's tone was utterly sublime with extraordinary power, versatility, exquisite phrasing and passion. He was the lead singer for good reason... Freddie always encouraged, admired and loyally cherished john as a musician - it always makes me feel happy they understood each other so well. I should post this as a 'public comment' (not just a 'reply') with links to various concerts/interviews because it is such a shame anyone with an interest in queen could be making such disrespectful comments about john deacon when there is actually plenty of evidence that he consistently sang backup vocals for live performances over many years. Thankyou again for your comment, well done for defending john, he was an incredibly gifted, hardworking and versatile musician/writer and deserves all the respect in the world.
So he was the silent freefighter all the time.. not enough 4 some people complaining he should have spoken out more... f off i say.. he did enough.. the parents only had 2 point him out... just point... 🐈⬛🦁🐈⬛

Brian played it, listen carefully and you can hear it’s guitar, not bass
And Freddie told him to fuck off
i dont get it
That was nuts.
So did Roger. It was premeditated.
Freddie is the only kind of person who could say all sorts of curse words and insults to you and you’d still say Thank you
so true!
Love Deaky! He always looks like a kid who walked in off the street and said, "Hey, I'll jam with these guys." ;)
Hahaha true
Well Deaky was the last member to join so that's basically what happened 😂
Freddie i miss you

Deaky messing with Freddie by playing under pressure is adorable
@@pluto488 nope Brian plays lead guitar and John plays bass. John plays the bass riff in Under Pressure so it was John messing with Freddie
@@gmxgaming2024 it wasn’t a bass-too high pitched, 100% a guitar made that noise
yeh i love how they troll each other throughout
@@jessesmith5772 My god, just how much of an idiot you are.
@@josephtoe1370 It’s 100% Brian playing the riff. Bass doesn’t sound like that.
When that bass comes in at the start. My oh my what a great bass player John D is.
That isn’t a bass 💀
it is guitar play by Brian may at the start
@@user-we9if2cn8g I think he was referring to the entry of bass in killer queen and not the « under pressure » joke at the beginning
Queen created their own sound within rock n roll. You just instantly know it's Queen upon first note!

Vienna and Edinburgh 1982 concerts say hi.
But yes, Montreal 81 concerts are 1 of the best.
Of the officially released concerts I agree. Including any show then no imo, although both shows are very good, especially Milton Keynes
2:22 that bass

Freddie, I had to send my precious cat Chloe to heaven four days ago. Please take good care of her for me.❤️
I'm sure Freddie is looking after everyone's passed cats, and enjoying every minute of it. I'm sorry for your loss
Sydney Taylor Thank you. I pray he is.
Don't worry, Freddie will take good care for her 💞
I'm gay for Rogerina Thanks. I agree! That’s actually what made it easier to do.💔
I adore Freddie's laughing. So musical as all him was
What a quality.. Thank you for sharing
Just masterful musicianship. Absolutely spellbinding talent
The Montreal Forum was known universally to have the most perfect acoustics for live performances as well as the Montreal Molson Centre.
*the ice just jamming in the background*
The part where only instruments played towards the end sounds magical...
I don’t know if anybody else notices but actually at the end of the guitar solo Freddie plays “good old fashioned lover boy” on the piano before moving on to “I’m in love with my car” just wanted to point this out!
