Rog totally owns this performance. From the second he sat down and started giving Fred his backup beat, through the entire song, he keeps everything going and everyone on time. He's like the glue holding everything together. So often no one realizes just how much he's doing as he's usually also hidden away. I love that for once the camera shows just what he's back there doing.
The thing that separates Freddie and Queen from all others is their live performance. All bands play their hit songs thousands of times all over the world, with Freddie, he always played them like it was the first time. His passion,the band's passion playing live is always like the first time. Truly thankful I was able to see them one time.

Queen works beautifully coz the 4 members are mind readers..they each knew wat each of them was thinking musically & they look at each other constantly for cues till the final end product of the songs dat they play on stage..even in mistakes made, they knew how to regain the momentum & 'repair' it then nicely sums it all up..safe to say dat no two 'live' performances by Queen are ever the same.. even Freddie could change it up merely by singing the same words to the same songs in a different manner & intonations..and adding his own take on the familiar songs to make it slightly different each time..yet still sounding like the original studio recording & sometimes even better than that...I LOVE dat quality abt Queen so much..♥😊!!

Later Brian played his solo too early lol. Correction: The solo was played at the right place. I mistakenly thought that it should have been later. It was played that way on "Queen on Fire" at the Milton Keynes Bowl because Brian had to switch his guitar due to a broken string. That's my personal favorite version of this song.

This is what rock is. A front man who get people to lead, menacingly great riffs, thundering drums and an underappreciated bass player who was the glue.
Their interaction is so very hot. I've never found an audience write such details about the performance they see. Queen has amazing fans too. 35 years after and we still look for details of their performance, this is great!

Later Brian played his solo too early lol.
Correction: The solo was played at the right place. I mistakenly thought that it should have been later. It was played that way on "Queen on Fire" at the Milton Keynes Bowl because Brian had to switch his guitar due to a broken string. That's my personal favorite version of this song.
