There’s at least 3 more seasons. Seasons 8, 9, and 10. But there are talks of potentially doing more, the network is just a couple years away from having to make that decision though.

Even though it was just a simulation, it was good to see Diane back. Looking back, this reminds me of that one simulation episode from Season 1. Except only this time, Morty is real.

So with the Diane part and lost. Never watched the lost stuff. Everyone who hated the ending spoiled it too much like people who hate attack on titan that’s usually all they talk about to people who haven’t seen the show and don’t want to lol while saying they hate it yet watched it all. So does surj of the group actually like that show the best. Did the rest not. What makes that show so deep or good for him. Seems like they watched much better shows by now. Is it nostalgia. Did they pay close attention and really get it all. Was it like evangelion where they like it most due to the mystery and rewatch potential? I thought it was a running joke but seems he actually loves the series and the rest are ok on it.
@@nichescenes Yes it is actually his favorite show! Now, a lot of people who hated the ending didn't actually understand what happened, so I'm not sure if you've read actual spoilers or not. That being said, it was a show with many mysteries and plot twists, as well as great characters with many emotional moments, and the hype around it was unreal at the time. Unfortunately many mysteries were introduced without having an actual solution in mind, which caused some of these solutions to disappoint viewers eventually. But even though its writing was never as good as The Sopranos or Breaking Bad, the emotional moments are some of the best ever put on tv, and they were also the main focus of the final episode. So some fans hated it, while others loved it.
im confused on why you are confused that Morty calls his Grandma Diane...are you forgetting what he calls his Grandpa?
I think this episode was very cathartic for me because it brought up how insidious our fears actually are. I also think it's pretty interesting how Morty seemingly "conquered" his fear by going into the hole and Rick didn't. I wonder what others thought of that moment.
Remember Rick knows its all a SHOW. Some weird dark twist is upon us
Honestly think this was one of the best seasons in a long time. Like I admit it had some lows, but it had some of the biggest highs in the series
the lows were never as low as previous seasons tbh yet the peaks were some of the highest yet
Episodes 4-5-6 was a classic run. S1 darkness episode, solid mythology episode, and a good clip episode ^_^

Yeah this season was great, it just got a lot of hate because of the VA drama. There were so many good episodes, sure it had lows but so did almost every other season.
my grandmother raised me and I only called her by her first name. funny thing is. she never forced any of me or my siblings to. before she passed she actually told me that she was always confused why all her grandkids naturally called her by her first name lmaoooo rip

Seriously, while they could have made LOST shorter and alternate universe ending was stupid, it had more than one season of material. If you decided to just start doing to candidate storyline immediately then I think a large part of the show's appeal would have been lost. If the characters just started having deep lore explained to them as soon as they got on the island, you miss the character dynamics, the survival, paranoia, and mystery that drove the show. It was accessible to non science fiction people early because specifically because it slowly eased you into speculative elements.

@@troyapostol Literally the fastest pacing I could imagine is if Season 1 ended with the “We have to go back” flash forward. Basically skipping Seasons 2 and 3 but keeping the story relatively the same after that.
I guess the confusion with Morty not calling Diane grandma, could be from making it clear that he meant Diane since grandma could also refer to Jerry's mother.

Well, Suraj... it did end in a church, and the flash sideways were kind of a... purgatory? So it's possible that Rick did understand the ending, even though he mentioned only what happened in the flash sideways, which might be misleading.
Could be a commentary on the viewer “relying” on Rick to carry the show and his past/lore.

Hopefully they keep this part for the next season because now that Morty has overcome his dependence on Rick this leaves open so much new character development

Crazy how the hole wasn't physically even that deep.
Rewatching this I can see Morty's real fear being clued in through the episode it makes more sense once you know what it is
Diving in head first. No hesitation. We all have nightmares. Remember how relieved you feel when you wake? Imagine confronting all your worst fears and conquering them. When the worst happens in life, you'd be able to keep a cool head.
Imagine all the therapy you would save yourself.

I actually think most people missed the point. Rick stopped for a second after he heard Diane was in there, and took a long look at the hole. Then, he took out the picture of Morty and put it on the wall. This suggests that Rick considered being with Diane, but literally and symbollically chose Morty---which means Rick also conquered his fear, and grew in that moment. They both matured via the hole, even though Rick never jumped in. The message for both being that fear lives in the past (the loop of the hole) while the conquering of it is always in the present (escaping the hole). Brilliant writing.
As soon as I saw the lost reference I was looking forward to suraj's reaction man it did not disappoint:D

Nah, on the contrary, it’s a pretty great concept.
If you’re still uncertain and anxious about it, then by definition you’re still in there. The whole point is that when you get out, you’re free of all of that baggage and insecurity. You won’t care, because you will have conquered that fear.
You’d be free to be the best version of yourself. I would definitely jump in there. And who knows, maybe life is just a version of the hole. Buddhism, basically.
But that is important, it's no the doubt if anything is real, but the conviction that now it is real to you and only that matters, if you reach the end line and you still feel satisfied with your "life" even if you "know" you are in the hole then you have lived life confronting that fear, you are no longer in the hole

It is a nice reminder in the end that after dealing with Prime Rick he really seems to be changing. Even knowing he could get to see Diane again by jumping in the hole he decided to live the now and go back to Morty

I call my grandma by her first name. growing up I always heard everyone else saying her name, so that was the only thing I knew her by. I was her only grandson so there wasn't any one else to lead an example. Also she hated being called grandma so by the time she tried to get me to stop calling her by her first name, I felt I was to old to call her GiGi 😂😂

Rick did not take a photo's the last time morty came out of the hole, he took that the first time they came out of the hole, and that wasn't rick so were did the real rick get the photo from.
this has become one of the top tep best episode of the whole show to me, that last twist made it from a good episode to a REALLY good episode, one really needed after the crapfest that was episode 6, 7 and 8

"Getting old" as a superfical fear?!
Everytime i hear someone say getting old is not so bad i feel like it's a very young concept from someone who didn't hit the downhill yet or just ment to reassure someone.
Your body breaking down and functioning less and less is a scary and torturous step by step towards the end. Getting older means losing more and more and with those bodily functions you also lose your autonomy and with time you lose people, etc. There isn't much anyone gets "richer" at the end of getting older that actually matters to the person.
Yeah, I know some people who are old and talk about their dead friends all the time, some even say they’re the only one left alive in their friend group.

Simple… you stay in the hole either forever, or until you die😳… Even MORE chilling, we know from the VHS tape scene with Muammar Gaddafi and Mt. Dew, that this VHS tape goes back as far as the 1970’s (50ish years), and only THREE people got their pictures taken, and put up on the wall before Morty did… so through 50 or so years, imagine how many people jumped in the Fear Hole, and never. came. back?🤯
