- The CZ SP01 Tactical is an upgraded model of the original CZ 75 with a full frame shroud that extends to the length of the slide. Design to fight the War on Terror as a Military Side Arm, this has become a favorite with competitive shooters and for Home Defense. #CZSP01 #CZ75 #CZ75SP01
Thanks to Fiocchi Ammunition for sponsoring the ammo and CZ for sending the SP01 for the initial review.

The first thing that struck me was the controllability and lack of recoil. The second thing was that's a damn fine looking pistol.
Not alot of mass on the slide. Plus you can grip this gun very well..
I have owned and loved my CZ 75B for decades. It’s a great firearm. The CZ 75 “family’s design” has significantly reduced recoil, due to its lowered bore axis (enabled by internal frame rails) and it’s robust all steel construction.
@@roykiefer7713
** bore axis **
@@abhroy
Thank you; is that anything like an insufferable axis?
@@roykiefer7713
LOL 👍 Negative . But yes , folks who gloat about revolvers that cost as much as a kidney - - I just tend to poke their eyes when they talk about "low bore axis" - - especially regarding a Glock . Truly allergic to Glocks - I happen to be 🙄

Was just pulling your leg with the spelling 😝 Cheers 👍🎉🤗😇
Ive already seen reviews on the SP01 but I never get tired of seeing it and it being shot. It's an elegant beautiful piece of engineering and history too.
Of all of my guns, this one is by far my favorite! I love CZ firearms.
The Czechs know how to make a good firearm. I like that they DON'T use polymers whenever they can.
I'm like you Adam, I hate plastic guns. I have 3 CZ'S, all metal. My CZ P 01 compact decocker only is my favorite. I'm old school & I will never buy a Tupperware gun. I put a set of Lok Grjps on it, & it just becomes part of your hand.
Like on the Scorpion or the Phantom?
GUNS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE MADE OF METAL .❤💯🙌
I think the 75 based CZ's are the best pistols period.
Yes,I have the 2075d rami,a 75 compact PCR and an sp01 tactical and they are by far my favorites
I have the SP-01, P-01, PCR, Rami, & two of the 97B. Love my CZ’s! Some of the best shooters in my safe
The 97B must soak up the .45 recoil well.
My P-01 decock model has been my carry gun since they came out. For my hand, a perfect fit. My all time interesting CZ was a pawn store Pre-B 75, in the box, perfect gun. Got it many years ago. That one will not be sold.
I own this as one of my many CZ's. I love these firearms. I really love all steel double action pistols period. They have less recoil and almost non-existent muzzle flip. The all steel frame just eats the recoil. Shoot one of these and you'll love it also.
feel the same way about cz
Do you have a suggestion for holsters? Trying to find a level 3 retention for my sp 01 but no luck yet
Same here.. love my P01 and Beretta 92 and my tanfoglio stock in 10mm
@@joeyphillips1181 recommendations for an owb sp 01 tactical holster?
@@ajc71398 I'm not sure I don't have an sp01 and I have an old leather Glock holster that already was loose enough to fit my p01 so I haven't really looked into it too much try googling it and see what comes up I'm sure there's some good ones out there depends on if you want leather or kydex and how much retention you want just make sure whatever you get it covers the trigger completely and has at least a little retention
First and best gun is a 1990 CZ-75 I bought off my squad leader in Arizona when it was fairly new. I've had it for almost 30 years, and never disappointed every time I've shot it at the range. Got to try that SP-01 out some time.
I bought an SP-01Tactical about 8 months ago. Man, this gun is great! It feels like it was made for my hand, and it shoots very well every time. Can't beat the high cap mags (18+1). A real sports car of a weapon.
Absolutely love mine. That’s one gun I’ll never sell. Swapped out the grips when I got it and that perfected it.
I want to love cz75 so much but the triggers just aren't to my liking :/
I cant believe I was able to pick up a fully modded 75 SP01 for $600, never shot.
Such an amazing gun.
@@HAHA.GoodMeme that’s a good deal. I think I paid around $650 for mine. It was brand new so no upgrades. That was about 3 years ago
Spiffing,
Cajun gun works can give a CZ
a major improvement in the trigger department.
What grips did you get. ??
I’ve carried 75’s for decades and all the pistols I’ve had or have they have never failed in any capacity.
I love mine, the SP01tac is my favorite bar none... along with that weight is the reassurance of reliability and accuracy, and if you run out of ammo it can also be used as a club.
I've been shooting for over half a century.
Of all the pistols that I have had through the years, this is the pistol I sleep with, ready to go if need be.
I just love my CZ's, Cz 75B and CZ-75D PCR, they are excellent firearms. Would like to add the SP 01 and a Rami to my collection.
P320 .45acp
(2) Glock 17s
G34, G26, G42
P226 legion 9mm
1911 tacops .45
S&W 66-2
Ruger LCR .357
Rough Rider .22 WMR
And the CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical is my FAVORITE of them all.. can't wait to give it to CGW next month.
GREAT review, keep them coming.
"Give me liberty"
My first CZ was a Shadow 2. I was amazed at how well I could shoot it. After that, I bought an SP-01 Tactical because I wanted to learn how to work on them and upgrade them myself. I ordered and installed the Cajun Gun Works Pro Package and barrel bushing. Now the SP-01 Tactical is just as good (if not better in some ways) than the Shadow 2 was out of the box. Then I picked up the Tactical Sports Orange, and it's definitely the best out of all three. The only downside is now I feel like I'm using an Arrow T-50 staple gun when I shoot my Glocks.
Get a checkmate next. Trust Me
@@czjunky2045 with hot enough ammo to work the compensator.
Have an S2 and first gen TS myself along with a 17L.
Most guns other than HiPoint put Glocks to shame.
@@roul3688 Ha, they're not THAT bad. No striker-fired sidearm that I've tried is much better either. I reckon they do what they're supposed to, so I'm not mad that none of them can really compare to a nice hammer-fired model with a great trigger.
@@JR15A2 They’re excellent, reliable firearms… but as far as ergonomics and triggers go, Glock might be the worst in my opinion. Walther PPQ, S&W M&P, Sig P320, CZ P10, etc are better options in my opinion… strictly from an ergonomics and trigger perspective.
Reminds me of the EAA Tanfoglio Witness. Mine is a .40. They are heavy, but once you hold one in hand, you'll never, ever forget the way they feel. Really nice, ergonomically speaking
I bought the EAA Tanfoglio Witness .40. Fantastic shooter. Bought the CZ SP-01 Tactical too. Tough to compare- but the CZ is better being lighter and with a better grip pattern IMO.
CZ fan for sure! I own several CZ's
Several is an understatement 🤣🤣
P01, 97B, SP01 Phantom, P10S, TSO and a Dan Wesson TCP. LOVE me some CZ’s.
I just love CZ firearms. I bought my CZ 75 PCR because of your review.
The PCR is excellent! Thanks Joe
I've had my CZ SP01 for 3 years. All steel. One great pistol.
The first and still the only gun I own. I love it. Wish there were some outdoor ranges near me so I can shoot it again.
I and my SP-01 really enjoyed this review. CZs seem to be my favorite firearm, judging by how many CZ handguns, rifles and shotguns I have!
Thanks for the appreciative review of a fine firearm!
Lmk about their shotguns, & rifles besides the scorpion ofcourse
@@sasukesippinsyrup1871 I have 2 bolt action 455s, now discontinued, one in 22LR and the other in 22WMR. I have the semi-auto 512 in 22WMR, and a bolt action 527 in .223/5.56. I recently bought a bolt action 457 with two barrels, one a 22 LR, the other in 17 HMR. It would be hard to pick a favorite, since all shoot as well as I could ask. The 527 is a blast to shoot and fun to put along with an AR. I also have a semi-auto 712 12 gauge, which I am less enamored with. I prefer pump or break-open actions, I think.
My son has a Scorpion, which is wicked accurate. But, you may have one, already.
Take an all steel CZ over any striker fired polymer wonder any day of the week. I own all of the CZ pistols except the Czechmate. A few parts from Cajun Gun Works and you have a superior pistol in every regard.
I too have the SP-01 tactical. It was my first firearm and still my favorite. Sent it to David at Cajun to get the Pro Package and it's phenomenal. I've been carrying striker fired guns but this video just made me consider getting a compact version.
All these years later and you're still here making vids. Amazing man 👏
Another pleasant gun review. This guy does not sport a long filthy beard, are not tattooed all over, neither wears a Shemagh (Arab scarf) with 5.11 clothing (to look "tactical"), AND YET, he makes outstanding firearms reviews, assessments, presentations worthy of watching. For that, he doesn't even use foul language! Thank you! Keep on rolling, sir 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I don't trust clean shaven men.... They are rarely trustworthy
This has been my all time favorite gun!! I own it and carry it everywhere I go… great review!!
Love all your CZ reviews. Great Company with Great products. I love my P10S Optics Ready. You should try an arrange a tour of their US Facility in Port of Little Rock, Arkansas.
They have tours?
Fav handgun ever right here
Excellent review!!! Bought a basic SP01 years ago (2013) and it's been great!
The only things I've ever done to it was to replace the Grips and the Polymer Guide Rod for a Stainless Steel Guide Rod.
Currently, It's one of my USPSA/IPSC Pistols, but I would trust it with any task needed.
Thanks for the detailed review. I purchased one yesterday. It feels great in the hand.
One of the best pistols made. I'm a fan of all CZ products great shotguns also.
Love the 75 series, from the shadow2 to the rami, the p01 omega being my main EDC for over 4 years
Great review! Thank you! New shooter/owner here and this is the one I fell in love with! I foresee a huge addiction problem in my near future!
I really like and appreciate your reviews, tear downs and comments about firearms. Great job!
Thanks Scott!
Sale one to me, please
Pretty good gun. Then I got it fully Cajunized with their pro package including the tight bushing. Its now a dream gun. My groups are super tight with this gun.Got target sights so its super accurate. Wonderful gun.
Started to buy one in 40sw half a dozen times. I love the way it feels in the hand. Gonna have to pull the trigger on the purchase.
I had one for a good while. I would say it was the best 9mm handgun I've owned and would go as far as to say one of the best 9mm handguns ever made. Nice review!
This is a real great gun! Great review thank you! Greetings from Italy!
Thanks Giovanni!
Beautiful pistol. Great review
I have the urban gray suppressor ready model and it is one of my favorite handguns I own. Super accurate, reliable and such a good shooter!
About to buy one before this year is up since they will be discontinued after 2022
@@sasukesippinsyrup1871 You will like it!
Finally got mine. So excited! ☺️
My all time favorite pistol. Just a fantastic shooter.
Is my favourite all around work horse. Love It!
Great handgun that I would love to add to my collection. Review was right on 👏👍🗽🦅🇺🇸
Excellent review.
Nice! Almost a cross between my P220 & my P210 that's great 👍
I bought a CZ75 P01'a long time ago. I use it as my go to range gun and home defense. I have conceal carried it but its way too big and heavy for that. I have to say, best pistol I own.
Yep, I tried to conceal carry mine, but it would literally pull my pants down. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I just leave it in the car now and take it out when I get home to use for home defense. I'm still looking for a conceal carry I can carry more comfortably.
The P01 is my winter carry. Get a good holster and belt and it’s fine. It’s not that heavy.
@@WdnUlik2no Yeah, I have a Canik that I inside the waistband carry. In 9mm also. Even with a big ling shirt that CZ is just to damn big.

The CZ P07 would make for a lighter

@Gary Wixson The P01 and P07 are nearly the same weight.
Love my spo1 tactical with safety. Sweet smooth shooter
Excellent review
Mr soocth brilliant review
I have a P01 Cajunized as my carry gun. Love it.
I want one.i have the Tristar c100 and put in the Cajun spring kit. Need the po1 for range and the Tristar for carry
Po1 would be my choice over a clone. Any day

The CZ is like Berreta & Browning had a baby. Thanks for the history & showing the breakdown. VZ grips make a big difference. Workhorse guns from CZ.
Thanks Bill! The CZ 75 is such a great design
I have the CZ SP-09 Tactical and I love that gun. I need to pick up the CZ 75 SP-01 Compact for carry to replace my single stack Walther PPS M2
Classic. Same weight as a steel 1911. Soft shooter with good trigger. Cajun parts will make the trigger unbelievably light and smooth. A competition favorite.

I love my SP01 Tactical. It is easy to shoot well. I have a few CZ’s one is a P07 that I purchased from Cajun Gun Works with everything done to it. My SP01 was half the money and I shoot it better and like it more.
I was actually in the market for a P07 but after seeing this video and your comment I’m hooked on the SP01 Tactical 👌🏼
Big fan of CZ’s
I have the SP-01 Shadow and P-09, great guns.
Again, always a thorough review. I am a CZ fan. People love them or do not. The decocker is a good idea and I prefer that.
Thanks bro, thanks to the crew too!
I absolutely love my CZ-75 SP01 in FDE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Living the CZ Life !!!!!!!!!!!! Long Live The Republic, Soocth00
I have a stock CZ 75B in .40 S&W. It has one of the smoothest DA/SA triggers I've found. At some point, I need to get one of these in 9mm, at which time it'll be my primary carry pistol.
One of the best looking pistols ever made.
Without a doubt my favorite hand gun to shoot. So much that I have 2... lol
Best nightstand gun that I have
Love my P-01. Best purchase I ever made.
I love my CZ 75D compact (pcr) it’s my favorite firearm and my EDC.
What can I say that hasn't been said, it's a great shooting gun love my cz75sp.
Nice review 👍👍
Great video.
I have a Standard SP01. It is my favorite gun.
I bought an old CZ-82 in 9mm Makerov. Only double stack Mak .I keep it cocked and locked like a 1911 for home defense.
Such a nice looking gun.
Nice. Good job
Love my SP-01.
I have the original sp01 tactical urban gray model with suppressor height sights and threaded barrel. Feels like shooting a 22.
Cool video! Next step shadow 2? I use this - IPSC...
I like your videos
Greatings from austria
Wow I need one of these
Great gun, great video. I use a Shadow for competition and a P-01 for edc. In addition to the many things you mentioned, imo the "tunability" of these guns far surpasses almost anything else on the market. As for the grips, LOK makes G10 grips and will sell grip panels individually. A palm swell on the dominant hand and a thin on the off hand is a game changer.
I have 5 variants of the CZ 75 B Models. I have CAJUNIZED all my CZ's. I love my RAMI as my EDC. Please do a review on the RAMI too.
I really like the threaded barrel version for a little more velocity + suppressor use. The straight back and forth action instead of the Browning tilt barrel action and the additional weight UP FRONT where it should be reduces recoil big time even with +p ammo. More of a push than a flip for faster 2nd shots/sight alignment. It weighs the same as a good all steel 1911 A stiff belt and holster makes carrying even the longer barrel version similar to the 1911 in the same positions. I am 5'9" have a 38 waist and weigh around 200 lbs, stocky build, it does not print unless I want it to.
This is my brother’s favorite handgun and I liked shooting his when we went to the range. I wanted one so bad but could never find one. I bought a Beretta M9A3 Black G model. I’m sorry but I’m no longer obsessed with the CZ. My heart belongs to team Beretta. Both of them are great firearms and you cannot go wrong with either, I just like the Beretta a lot better for some reason.
92A1 converted me from CZ fanboy to Beretta. Now as far as CZ's I only have my SP01 tactical and 6 M9/92 variants including the M9A3 black.
Hard to beat a Beretta
@@destroyingdadxx2274
You’re right about that. The recoil impulse of the Berettas is just so smooth. They have very soft recoil. Extremely easy to keep on target during rapid fire.
I was hesitant to buy a Beretta because the handguns we had in the Army were so ratty. The handguns weren’t very well maintained and they were always practically falling apart. I was an armorers and the M9’s we had were ancient. Command didn’t even want us to buy part for those guns. They said we would spend the money on parts for more useful weapons. Anyway, I shot an M9 that had been properly maintained when I separated from service and I was blown away at how nice of a handgun it really was. If you do the maintenance and replace worn out parts at the recommended intervals, they’re excellent.
I need a few more M9A3’s and an all Steel Beretta 92X Performance next.
I prefer CZ despite being Italian.
I have a CZ PCR and RAMI. I want the P01 and this one. Then I can die with a smile on my face.
I love mine! And I love my cz97 and 2075 RAMI. All 3 have the firing pin retaining pin which wears out fairly quickly. I replaced mine with cajun gun works hardened pins, and pins from CZ custom.
Scooch is correct about this pistol. Its built like a tank and will last a long long time. I bought my SPO1 a few yrs ago before the pandemic and it cost $638 for the standard model with manual safety. Competes directly with the Beretta 92 and the Sig P226 but less expensive. I installed the mcarbo 5 spring kit to reduce the DA pull and its an inexpensive fix and not too hard to install. Would certainly recommend it but not for carry unless your a shoulder holster guy!
I believe since IWI and Magnum Research parted Company, back when IWI was IMI, that the Israeli version is the "Jericho 941" and Magnum Research retained the "Baby Eagle" but they are very similar guns. One difference I know of is that the Baby Eagle retained the slide mounted safety lever while the Jericho uses the frame mounted safety...Not that any of that it matters. I have yet to shoot a CZ-75 variant, but it's on my list, and the SP-01 is at the top.
I can’t wait til I get mine
In my opinion these are the most gorgeous handguns ever made.
We bow to the CZ power
Pretty sweet. Just got me a 75 compact.
I did and have carried an SP01 as my daily, but the size more than the weight can get in the way. I carry a 75 compact normally which is far lighter than my StarBM that I had been carrying for years prior lol
Love CZ
I would love to have the CZ- 75 9mm on my next purchase list !
I have the pcr, p07 and p10 subcompact. The only changes i added to the first two is i put in solid pin where the striker hits and i put a better trigger return spring.
I bought a P07 six months ago and shoot it regularly at my club and have no issues with it. Total reliable.
I love mine! Sold my IWI Baby Eagle to get it, wish I'd kept both.
I'm a left handed shooter and I can tell you that CZ's are still some of my favorite gun's to shoot. Operating the controls in reverse is not a challenge at all.
I bought one very very happy
I love my sp01 shadow !
You should get Cajun Gun Works to tune it up for you, then review the difference it made. 🤙
Sootch would love to see a review on the Shadow 2/Orange
I've been carrying a CZ Shadow 2 for a couple years and I use my TS2 for competitions. I say once you go Czech, you never go back. That new TS2 Orange looks really awesome, but it's so expensive. They have a used Czechmate for $2,150 at a local gun shop, and that's less than the MSRP on the TS2 Orange! I really want that Czechmate lol
