I had my truck repainted by Maaco everybody gave me grief paints going to last 6months. I’ve owned the truck 6 years not a single issue and service was extremely quick and pretty inexpensive.

Maaco does great jobs but their are some other shops that don't do not even a decent paint job but is a risk you might have to take.
Randy you have by far the best Maaco shop in your area I have ever seen! I’ve never seen paint jobs from them anywhere else come out as good! Looks great!
I've done tons of videos of their $399 paint and it looks GREAT too!

@@quasar3210 he’s had a bunch of their cheap jobs done also that have looked great from the one he goes too! I’ve been blown away every time because our shop where I live sucks, and I’ve seen some of their jobs here that were up to $5,000

Randy if it looks as good in person as it does on here, you got a killer deal for what you paid! The Maaco you go to needs to go around the US and train all other Maaco’s because I’ve never seen the others do a job like this!!! Ours in Myrtle Beach is absolutely horrible! You definitely do have the best Maaco I’ve ever seen!

I too live in myrtle beach - and back in 2015 i had maaco here repaint a 97 honda del sol (high end base and clear). The car needed a TON of body work, rust cut-out, etc. They did an AMAZING job! I will say i was working at a radio station at the time - i supplied the body panels and maaco was respnsible for the paint/materials/labor. All work was traded (for commercials) so i never knew how much it actually cost, but maaco did outstanding work. This was at a time when the owner Joe had the facility, so i can't speak to the quality of work today.

The door must be slightly out of alignment. Need to readjust the latch and the striker on the driver's door. Ran into same issue with a Chevy Silverado after replacing the weather stripping. 😊
The Monte SS looks gorgeous Randy! Paint shop did an amazing job on it. Gonna be perfect for power tour. Hopefully that old mini bus is able to be drivable soon too. Can’t wait for the next video.

Love it; they did a nice job! Sounds great and perfect touch with the Earnhardt plate! Personally I would prefer the factory wheels refinished but those look good.
I wanted the OEM wheels too but they couldn't get to them in time.
Those are my favorite cars,but i like the bench seat/column shift ones. They did a great job

My 96 astro had that same color paint. I think was called "english rose" but in sun was kinda purple/burgundy. Lot of flake/pearl in paint. 95 bucks a pint. The monte carlo ss looks sick and im glad u kept it original
I had the same style vents in my Fords from the 70s and 80s. The felt pieces they put on are near the pivots. This tends to warp the sides of the vents and they lose their friction fit. As long as the vents are not broken, I have placed small bits of self adhesive felt at the outer edges of the sides where the plasic will not bend over time.
Paint looks great car looks great. Love that body style. I hope you decide to order the correct door rubber though. You have done such a good job restoring that car I’d hate to see the doors get messed up. Great job! I can’t wait to see the last finishing touches !

This motivates me to buy him another one very soon. And how do you have a tint shop with no one capable enough to cut the tint by hand? They are sorry af.

Hi Randy, I've got to say I was a little leery about the Monte I love to keep them original but you are staying true to it keeping a lot of originality and I always thought it should of had a 350 in them from the factory, this is what they should have been, those 305's were just too small and weak. Good for you, you had a vision and you made it happen and came out with a beauty Good Job Randy and all of your helpers along the way. She's fast. 😀✌❤ I can't wait to see how she does on power tour. I had a paint job done in 2002 (graduation present from my grandfather😂) on a 1993 grand Cherokee after high school. It was like 600 but was decent for what it was as I kept another 4 years through college.

The Tight Seals can be fixed in 30 minutes I Guarantee it, there is a process easily known by us Professional Fixers who know about this problem. Very easy to do. It is an Air Bus Airplane fix. You can shrink the thickness of the seals. Hint!

The felts help keep debris from getting down inside the door and clogging those three drain holes at the bottom. If they get clogged, rainwater can pool inside the door and rot it out from the inside. This happens over a period of years if the car is left to sit. It's not a concern on this project, obviously. But if you ever encounter G bodies with their doors rusted on the bottom, that's often why.

Very nice looking car. Congratulations, it reminded me of a paint job that was done on one car of 9 years ago. We added crushed glass. A fine powder to the first of clear Then three coats on top of that it Looked like there were diamonds in the orange paint. Every single person that saw the paint.Job said it looked awesome and the only reason I did it was because the guy at the paint sjob suggested I did it.I don't think he even charged me any extra for his crush glass

Randy that’s how new weather stripping is. Over time the weather stripping will get adjusted to the door.
Randy, that thing looks amazing!! That engine seems real saucy. Be careful on launches that you don’t snap the B pillar. I had and 87 that I took the 4.3 out and dropped in a 454. Lots of launches later a nice crack formed at the roof line on top of the B.

It looks great. I personally had a bad experience with Maaco and would never use them again but I am sure that the service is different depending on the location.
The monte is looking and sounds nice, you must have a good maco ,in my state they only do single stage paint
