Do I have to change the dosage of the medication if it it on the green category
Do you send genesight test to Africa, Namibia 🇳🇦?
Does GeneSight make the patients raw genetic data available for download? Or only look at a small portion of the genome?
I'm fully on board and now an official shill, If you want it or not. This is far beyond important than any money.....
What if the only medication that truly works for me is in my red category but does cause side effects but truly does help me
Medications in the significant gene-drug interaction category are likely to require dose adjustments in order to have the desired effect, may be less likely to work, or may cause side effects. However, this doesn’t mean they won’t work or can never be used. The clinical considerations included in the report state the rationale for a medication’s classification and offer treatment adjustments if a clinician desires to use this medication. Sometimes a healthcare provider may be able to overcome the reason the medication falls in the significant gene-drug interaction category by adjusting the dose, but other times it may not be the best option for a patient.
What is the medicine in my red category actually works for me what do I do even though it does cause side effects it actually works

Does Genesight include Adderall or any of the amphetamine based drugs yet? On this old list only Ritalin is listed and that's not helpful for me 😢. Also, does it test for Dopamine D2 receptor alleles?

An up-to-date review of the literature, along with internal research, currently supports that genetic variation is unlikely to predict altered metabolism or treatment outcomes with amphetamines. Therefore, the current body of evidence does not allow for it to be categorized on the GeneSight test.
Will it explain why the depression medications make anxiety worse
Bipolar disorder might explain that. I have bipolar ii and often antidepressants push people into hypomania.

That seems really ironic because it’s been known for years that many patients respond poorly to adderall but better to Ritalin or vice versa.
