  • In this video I’d like to take you through the experience of genetic testing and show you what to expect, and how to use the information to improve your life. Direct-to-consumer genetic testing can help you tackle inherited diseases, it can teach you about what diet serves your body best, or it can warn you about how you’ll react to certain medications. It can be a gold mine of medical information that can help you live longer and healthier.
As a geneticist, and physician having done 7 genetic tests, I’m in a unique position to show you what these are all about. Let's find out how it all started, go beyond the hype around ancestry tests and explore the real potential of genetic health tests and whole genome sequencing. I will also share with you my experience with genetic counseling and finally we will dive into the future of DNA testing.

Yes I agree I’m being pushed for medical genetics testing using 23andme but I much rather use myDNA, dante Labs or illumina to start making genetics testing for medical purposes plus using illuminate instead of non medical DNA testing kits for medical purposes. Great episode. I love it
