Nice! Is that engine you pulled salvageable? Subbed, keep em coming 🤘🤘
Very good question.I believe the previous owner over heated the engine. If there is enough interest, I may just pull that engine apart and film what I find
@@Rurik_JustCruzn I'd be very interested to see that process.
Nice! That looks fairly complicated, looking forward to seeing you put it back in!
That certainly demystified the process. Thanks!!!
Awesome !!
You reminded me why i didn't restore a 928 after my 944 !!
I have a 79 928, I'm gonna pull my engine this year - give it a good restore! Thanks for posting, keep em coming!
What a job hope it all goes back cleaned and looking good.
Cool video, love the 80s vibe tunes.
Thanks...I have a 78 Euro, that I'll be pulling the engine out sometime soon.
This video is done very well Iam surprised you only have 10k views.
Excellent video Thank you - I have plans to pull my 928 engine next year and videos like this really help 👍
That’s impressive. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work, man that oil looked bad. I really enjoyed seeing how the flywheel coupler joins the driveshaft.
Good job. Catch me from the beginning till the end. I am rebuilding a 928 myself right now, but no engine out until now (not needed). Keep up the good work. You've got one more subscriber and viewer.
Great video and engine out in just over 11min, extraordinairy ;)
Dang nice tools you're using, I need to get me some, will save a lot of time
Looking forward to next video
Good wrenching very well done.
I heard this background music in the Disco scene, in "The Terminator"..'84.
I deleted my car's air injection too. However, the air pump itself acts as the fan belt tensioner, so I removed the pump internals and replaced the bearings. That way I still had a tensioner but wasn't wasting energy (or money on some fancy after market solution)
Did the same thing to my 78..... Works great as a tensioner!..... Some people just use a shorter belt, and bypass the air pump, but then you have no adjustment to the belt.
Last i checked there were 6 bolts holding front clip in . Take off torque tube ,exhaust, wired plugs and hoses it is supposed to drop out the bottom . I think you just did that way harder than need be.
I’m looking at an ‘86 928s which has low compression on one cylinder. From everything I've read, it seems unlikely that the engine would have a lower end issue (only 65k miles). Do you guys agree?
If yes, can the heads be removed without pulling the engine?
Nice ,not as daunting as I would imagine. Looks just as involved as working on a 1UZFE. minus the spider plenum.
Ahh you do realize with the lift you just disconnect all the harnesses in unbolt body and lift you can access entire drivetrain..been done
I wonder if a first gen 928 engine will fit in a late 944???
I've been thinking the same thing. That would be an awesome swap.
@@Rurik_JustCruzn instead of a ford or Chevy swap, keep it in the family.
@@MrStroller4u If I manage to get monetized, I look into it
Nope
