I really appreciate the tip about the arm position, I never thought of that. But thanks to Calimove program I made impressive progress. I went from being able to do about ten regular push ups a year ago to archer push ups (though only 4 or 5 for now).
GAGAGAGAGAGA! I will now count to 3 and then I am still the unprettiest CZcamsr of all time. 1...2...3. GAGAGAGAGAGA!!! Thank you for your attention, dear q
Your tip about shoulder position was absolute game changer for me when I started doing it. I was doing push ups for long time and was struggling to progress, and I grew to hate the exercise. Then I switched to wider grip because it was more comfortable for palm injury I had. That somehow forced me to push the shoulders towards the hips. At first it was harder, but I've finally felt the proper "push" sensation, and I'm still progressing since then. Also the work I put in is finally visible on my chest. It also helped me personally to keep my chest full of air and only breathe out a little bit at the very top. This "discovery" led me to pay much more atention for what I'm doing in every exercise, and not just chasing reps.
Bro same. I started hating them coz I couldn't progress on them doing them that way. Fixed my shoulders placement like a week ago and I feel much better and have started making progress again
Best push-up clarification I have heard in 40 years; ya’ll provide Collegiate level instruction. I continue to use your Complete Calisthenics program for my daily regimen and implement your mobility program on alternating days. Now in my 50’s I perform at a fitness level comparable to my 20’s; thank you for continuing to provide exceptional education and training!
Didn't pay attention to my shoulders shrugging so far. After watching this video, I failed to make my usual 10 sets while trying to implement this "don't shrug" rule. Obviously, this setback in my progression is hard to swallow, but striving for the perfect form should be the main focus. Thanks for those videos, the way you explain things is perfect (alternating bad and good posture to demonstrate the point you're focusing on).
Wirklich ein guter Guide zu besseren Push-Ups! Ich schaue eure Videos gerne für kleine Anpassungen und Tricks um mir den Trainingsalltag zu erleichtern aber gleichermaßen den Muskelaufbau zu intensivieren.
Man i LOVE these kind of high quality videos. You guys just set the bar higher every time and the whole youtube fitness sphere has to follow or be left in dust eventually. Blue shorts ftw!
I love the physical demonstrations in these videos. The posing is always crystal clear and easily identifiable. Whenever this man adjusts his form, I can almost feel my own body moving accordingly. Really helps me gain awareness over my own body and movement. Keep up the spectacular communication!
@@yasmineafif1330 damn this was quite a long time ago now im injured i broke my arm and i haven't trained in 6 months but i was able to do 100 in a row before i got injured, i hope after i recover i will be able to do atleast 50
You've become my most favourite channel about exercise. Love second point you mentioned - not straight line up, but shifting the weight really helped me a lot
Some of the best free content available on fitness. Well worth diving into the paid programs. Been working through the body weight training program throughout covid so I didn't lose any gains, and it's definitely helped.
Just suscribed to your mobility program, I'm sure it's the Best step to reach perfect form in every single exercice 🏆💪🏾 much love El Eggs Sensei, hopefully I'll soon deserve my magic blue short 😎😜
Thanks for the video el eggs, I am sure now that I do my favourite exercise right!!! I would love to see a Video for improving or how to do sphinx push ups and diamond push ups!!! 💪💕
Thank you so much, this is why my shoulder were paining and now I'm kind of incapable of doing normal push off. Use to do wrong since the beginning for at least for 5 years. Now Centre of chest bone and shoulder pains whenever i try to do this perfect push up. 👌👌
Good video, as usual. I like the tips that you don't see all of the time. This might be an idea for a new series of videos--uncommon tips about common exercises.
Hii after watching your videos I can now really do 5to7 pushups with proper form which most adults also can't and I m only 13 years old only thanks I appreciate it:)
I always thought I was doing it with good form. I even followed his videos to make sure. But apparently I've been shrugging my shoulders this whole time. Makes sense since I never felt that pushups were working my pecs enough
I would add two more tips: point fingers diagonally out and hands directly under shoulders (instead of slightly wider) in top position. These tips guarantee no flaring of elbows. Also I advise hands in down position somewhat lower than shown in video, with thumb touching nipple for men.

woa you progressed really slow, but slow progress is still better than no progress am I right?
@@kienthanhle6230 I think the most important thing is not how fast you progress, but rather whether you progress in the right direction or not.
The more I learn about Push Ups the less I can do 😂
Yeah but better gains and less injuries ;)
Numbers are only important for the ego.
Same here. Quality over quantity!!👍
put your knees to the ground and do it, ego wont bring you anywhere.
Maybe that means it is working.
@@TheZenytram Don't take it the wrong way Dathedr, he just means doing the knee push ups.
The second one is really underrated
Love how you show everything from different angles! So clear and understandable.

The control on his body is insane
In yoga, we inhale as we expand and exhale while we contract. So i think we should inhale when we come up and exhale when we go down.
