Welcome to Modern Homestead Alaska. We are located in South Central Alaska near the town of Wasilla. Living in Alaska and building our dream of “modern Homesteading” through the wilds of winter and the long summer days. We started building our Modern Homestead in 2021. We have since completed the upper levels of our home. Built a 16x16 foot chicken coop that dreams are made of. Our chicken ladies live in luxury as they view the beautiful lake from large windows inside the beautiful coop. We raise our own poultry, hunt for our food. We are avid fisherman And woman. We also built an amazing and beautiful wood shed. We have great big garden planes for the future. Join us as we dream big dreams and live everyday working hard to accomplish them.

You know what’s funny I would have never thought you would need to tell someone that they only produce milk after giving birth. However my neighbor boys came to meet her. They had never seen a cow in real life until her. But I grew up with them I forget (I shouldn’t!) that not everyone knows about live stock

Awesome for Wyatt! I was 18 when I fractured my spine and although took a while to recover it felt great to do things I had done prior to my injury! Wyatt will do great but as a mom now of a teenage athlete myself now, I can appreciate the worry! Love your channel all the way from the east coast of Canada!

So happy Wyatt had a fantastic recovery! Aaron has his work cut for him with that pile. The way the tractor is lifting off the ground is a bit scary. Growing up on a farm, we would hear stories about people getting crushed under tractors after a roll over. Question: what’s that on the poor chicken’s back? It sort of looks like it’s molting but also has some red stuff stuck on the back?
Oh thank you. The chicken has a saddle it’s c at liked. The old rooster pulled her feathers and it protects her from the others pecking at her. It’s protection

Yeah I have addressed it. He is a collage athlete with the hopes of making an Olympic team. There are no issues. He is off at collage and lives on his own and works and all that. We don’t have him on the channel because he asked to stay private. And we respect several family members who say they don’t want to be on the channel or social media at all.

I like your channel, but if I can give you a little constructive criticism. You lose me most of the time with all the explaining you do. Don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, just would like it more if you moved a little faster with what is actually going on.
I think she tries to make sure she covers it all because everyone is at all different levels.. we may not need it, but some people do and a little refresher doesn't hurt 😊
We can all learn a few things and I think she’s trying to be helpful 😊
