Welcome to Modern Homestead Alaska. We are located in South Central Alaska near the town of Wasilla. Living in Alaska and building our dream of “modern Homesteading” through the wilds of winter and the long summer days. We started building our Modern Homestead in 2021. We have since completed the upper levels of our home. Built a 16x16 foot chicken coop that dreams are made of. Our chicken ladies live in luxury as they view the beautiful lake from large windows inside the beautiful coop. We raise our own poultry, hunt for our food. We are avid fisherman And woman. We also built an amazing and beautiful wood shed. We have great big garden planes for the future. Join us as we dream big dreams and live everyday working hard to accomplish them.

I’m really enjoying Sunday dinner. Aaron was so fun! You’re right, it’s often hard to get those wonton and eggroll wrappers up here. Whenever they’re available, I buy 10 or 12 packages at a time and just keep them in the freezer for a year. Let me know if you’re ever in a pinch and need some. Ha! Lotsa love for you guys. 🫶

I really good trick on the limes if you cut a little bit on both ends there, ,butt on the limes and you squeeze it you’re actually get more juice out of it, so just cut the little butts off the limes

my hubby n n his cousins.born in Mexico n they said I make best rice n I tell them your mom taught me lol they add pea n carrots n can tom sauce n I say I'm not being rude but I'll be more then happy to make the rice n his cousin says yes. she hates to cook n does alot of prepare foods n I cook from scratch like u lol. I m lucky I can grow tom tom chili's n cilantro radishes ect all year

I LOVE a this video! I’m late watching , but see you have another one up and will go there next. I’d love to learn more about how to use different types of dried peppers. What is best way to use and different heat levels of them. Love your cooking! Can’t wait to try the avocado salsa! When seeing your cream cheese dip with chilies. Wanted to share Ball canning has a recipe called habanero gold. Last year I made a bunch of different things to have some great add on flavors to dishes. Was fearful of heat level. But it is so tasty I think you all would love it. It’s like a jelly, I warmed it up poured over cream cheese as a side with crackers. Next time will mix it together. Also will make a triple batch, we love it.
