Former goalkeeper, David James, explains to, Chris Kamara and Ben Shephard, what happened when he was put up front for Manchester City in 2005. In one of the most infamous substitutions in Premier League history, James became a striker for the final 7 minutes of an end of season game against Middlesbrough.
Ultimately the points were shared on the day, with Stuart Pearce's last-minute tactical switch making no difference to the 1-1 scoreline.

James is tall and has an imposing physical presence. Well-suited to go for headers. Couple that with his unpredictability playing as a striker and the general element of surprise, that must be unsettling for the opposing side (for at least a few minutes).
