7 Players Ruined By Manchester City
We’ll start with the most recent one, Kalvin Phillips.
But with Joe Hart, it was a different case. This guy was England and Manchester City’s number 1 for years. He was one of the best goalkeepers in the league at the time and had already won the Golden Glove 4 times, a joint Premier League record.
Claudio Bravo was just fresh off winning the European treble with Barcelona in 2015 and back-to-back Copa America titles with Chile in 2016. He was really on top of the world. But he joined City and everything came crashing down for him.
Speaking of former Barcelona players who Man City ruined, you know we just could not leave out Yaya Toure. The Ivorian is actually one of Man City’s biggest legends, but he was treated very badly by the club.
Now, at this point, it seems like the common theme with all these players is Pep Guardiola, but the Spaniard surely didn’t have any hand in ruining Emmanuel Adebayor, City did it all by themselves.

Yaya Toure surely does deserve a statue,
Sane, Dzeko, Mahrez were important too
@noonenoone7602Leicester created mahrez
@noonenoone7602 Shelka created Sane
@noonenoone7602 the only player City created is Foden, the others was already created by other clubs they just improve on their game,

The video clearly shows that Nasri's career was ruined by sevilla and himself
What was Kevin Phillips expecting when he came to City there is Rodri and other better players in his position
Your right
Ah yes Kevin Phillips
Pep does not work with average players and hates we Africans...no respect
@@anthonykinyanjui1100 pep does not hate Africans him Toure just did not see eye to eye

Adebayor, Mendy and Nasri are at fault for their own downfalls NOT City.
Agreed
Mendy was betrayed by the club!
@@aahh5545 This vid is just dumb. How about the players that didnt go well with pep ?? Cause as far as we know joe hart & yaya is a city legend. Mendy was ruined long before his cases. He just have a glass knee. By this vid logic all players at man u & chelsea now are ruined by the club.
@@thecitizens4573
That's why I said Mendy was betrayed not ruined by city. He was always injured.
mendy wasnt guilty
Imagine ruining a keeper then another keeper just to find one who can pass like Xavi 😂
Imagine Mancini and Pellegrini wanting to replace him when they were there, then the best manager in the world also having that opinion...
@@handsolo1209lol , where did you get this?? Mancini the one that brought up joe to replace given. Bring him back from birmingham. And pelle does give him time in the bench but for his poor form. And we know pantilimon is surely not his replacement dude
@@thecitizens4573 Joe Hart was one of the players who got a huge ego and was behind Mancini being fired. Mancini wanted to bring in Begovic in 2013, but we saw how that window went. Hart found out about it and the politics kicked in behind the scenes. Mancini didn't help with his attitude either. Pellegrini wanted rid of Hart too, but again the players knew he was a placeholder for Pep, so his hands were tied. He thought Caballero would replace Hart, but Caballero was not a top level keeper, and Hart was the England #1 at the time. Once Pep finally arrived, the club did what he asked, so got rid of Hart, Nasri, etc.
At the time. They weren't up to 5 keepers in the world better than hart. How do u replace that with bravo. I can understand ederson (who's a worse shotstopper) but a left back in goal. But what excuse did pep have to replace Hart with Bravo
@@mrjoshuahartIn the very first game that Pep managed City (in pre-season), he told Hart to not kick the ball long and to try and pass it. The first chance that Hart got, he booted it as far as he could, so that was game over. The same ego that he showed to Mancini and Pellegrini. Bravo was a very good keeper (look at his record with Chile) and could pass the ball, which is vital to a Pep team. He was injured when he arrived and never found his best form while at City.
Make one about Manchester united

@@Goal_90you can't really blame the mastermind tho
We're talking of a 45 min video
@@Goal_90Nah you're too concerned with making videos hating on City
For a start lets look back at the injuries Phillips has had. It set him back and by that point others stepped up. I love Phillips I think he's a great player but he hasn't been able to adapt to what Pep wants from him. Which is a shame but we still have a place for him in the club but he has to step up, its not only down to the club or coach to get the best out of a player, the player needs to be adapt too. With Joe Hart, he didn't fit the style Pep and the club wanted and with his increasing age it was just a style shift. Bravo was a stop gap again age comes in to it. Yaya is a club legend and doesn't deserve to be on this list, another instance where media outlets prove they know nothing of football or the business side of it. I am not even going to start on Adebayor, him and Nasri both were inconsistent and had a lot of poor media surrounding them due to this. The club was trying to build something, as seen by todays standards (You have drama you leave, like Cancelo). The players need to take responsibility for their own actions and mistakes, some of them don't! You cannot blame City for any of the players down fall on this list. Your list is just some bull fluff piece, I am adding to this by commenting but saying the club ruined those players is just slander. Poor media piece at its finest.
He has no place at the club when we have players like rodri and john stones
Stones didn't play CDM then, and he had his chances but cannot adapt.
Pep RUINED JOE HART! Nothing anybody gonna tell me

And City fans didn't knew about Yaya Toure's bad statement against Pep Guardiola just before his departure in 2018 that Pep will never win the Champions League again, which was eventually lifted this year.
Come on we all know that “curse” was never true. All these years people saying he did curse them, and even when city reach the ucl final, people still say the curse will make them lose. But when City won it apparently the curse was “lifted”
Players ruined by Man City ❌️
Players ruined by Pep ✅️
Even then they were getting old. Guardiola needed fresh legs and someone who had potential not but your partly right. He shouldn’t have ruined them
You don’t know what you’re talking about, the players you mentioned did not have their careers ruined , if you don’t reach the required standard at a club tough luck !
Toure was treated badly but his career was not ruined
This vid is just dumb. How about the players that didnt go well with pep ?? Cause as far as we know joe hart & yaya is a city legend. Mendy was ruined long before his cases. He just have a glass knee. By this vid logic all players at man u & chelsea now are ruined by the club.
pep never liked toure at barcelona either
😊@@thecitizens4573
You should do this for chelsea too, look at the ammount of players theyve brought in and missused
City ruined Yaya Touré?? Lmao y'all will say anything for views these days! Yaya was literally one of the best things to happen to Manchester City, but go on...

Joe hart and yaya toure are club legend
Most of these players after leaving the club failed to perform well shows they was definitely something wrong with the players. Yaya wasn't ruined he retired. Nasri obviously wasn't that good. Hart's performance dropped really low before pep arrived
No no no if you truly know ball, you can't tell me kalvin phillips could've benched rodri and stones 💀if he doesn't suit the system he doesn't suit the system at the end of the day a player who does well on the pitch deserves more minutes
Phillips could go to a top 6 side if he wanted, he seems happy to warm the bench for a massive wage 😬
alternate title: Players careers ruined by Pep Guardiola
@HernasRoom ruined? You two sound like you have a victim mentality. Try being MEN and learning from failures. Pep was ruthless because he had to be in order to win. Perhaps if the club you support had a manager with his balls, you wouldn't be crying.
Grow up. Pep didn't ruin anyones career. If some these players you mentioned dug deep and fought to learn and apply themselves, maybe theyd still be there. It's peps team, and his vision. Life is cruel, time to learn little boy.

Barcelona is destroying Lewandowski's Career tho, so don't forget that!
@@MrClaude-km5uc He's old though, and still earning a large amount of money....
@@hanantkm large amount of money? also Benzema was old and he absolutely killed it at his age and won a Ballon D'or, so what you said was lame
@@MrClaude-km5uc "One player has done it and the other wasn't able to do it" Your argument is lame. What makes Benzema's achievement great is that not every person in the world can do it. And not to mention, Lewandowski too actually was killing it last season (except for the out of form patch post world cup. He still ended the season on decently well). Due to quite a bit of reasons, he has been out of form this season. You could very well blame Barca for not providing enough quality chances. But lately we've been witnessing him missing absolute sitters, and he is still in the stating lineup every gameweek, even though Barca have been severely underperforming xG due to attackers (including Raphinha and Felix) not converting. So here, if Barca had not given him opportunities and benched him or something, you could have argued that Barca are destroying him. But on the contrary, he is the one that's not delivering, and I don't completely blame him, because he might not suit the system perfectly and it is also possible that he is low on confidence, leading to him being out of form. This could be solved by Xavi, as he could provide better training or something and build confidence again, or Lewa himself could do it, because he is a veteran, not like the youngsters, he should show mentality and manage himself....
Truly, no player deserves a statue at ManCity than Yaya Toure. His situation is comparable to Boxer of The Animal Farm
No-one deserves a statue other than Yaya? So Aguero doesnt? Kompany doesnt? David Silva doesnt? Give yourself a slap for that stupid comment, now do it again so you dont forget a 2nd time
Bravo redeemed himself with his performances in the league cup.
Players who were not in Pep's books💯 is what this video should be about and also Kalvin Phillips career is not ruined he won the Champions League and can go to any club he wishes
This is just nonsense.
You guys keep on saying city ruin players. Rather, the players who you claim we ruin are actually the ones at fault. When they enter a standard club like city that plays with tactics, strategies, and are strict in terms of performance, pressure gets to them, and they wither. That's why u have the likes of Goku and Haaland performing. They have hunger. Some footballers play better in smaller clubs because they don't have to handle pressure. But what makes a footballer skilled is how to handle himself in times of pressure. If Guardiola wasn't strict and removed people he felt weren't deemed fit for a new city era, city won't be were they are today. And by the way, mendy isn't good. He's full of mistakes and we know that.
We did not ruin Yaya Toure. He's a city legend.
the title of this video should've been "Players Ruined By Pep Guardiola"
no way youre condemning city for dropping benjamin mendy
And apparently City ruined Joe Hart, Yaya Toure and Nasri smh
Yaya Toure and Joe Hart are literally City LEGENDS!!! L football knowledge whoever made this video. Pep didn't want them doesn't mean Man City ruined those players.
Do a video on what has happened to Union Berlin, they went from a 4 finish in the German top flight to champions League.
Now i see them struggling in the top flight, dropped out of the champions League, please i need to know whats going with that club.
Thanks in advance. #Goal90
Only ones I agree with is adebayor and Phillips the rest I can’t agree Nasri, hart, toure had successful careers, toure fell out with the club through a birthday cake which happened before pep
It’s more Pep than City. Pep has ruined loads of players the clever know when to leave. Mind you all the big coaches ruin careers Klopp, Tuchel, Mourinho, Anchelotti. Just ask Mane and what Tuchel did to him.
Jack Rodwell is probably the most obvious example...
Adam johnson came to my mind. Man was electric early in his days. Then mancini signed nasri & there he goes. Forgotten
I’d like to mention both Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair.
And adam johnson. Man was fire back in 2010. Replace them with joe hart & yaya then maybe it would make this video a lil logic.
Jack Grealish is only half the player Man City signed.
Was expecting to see Wilfred Bony on this list. He was a high flyer at Swansea before joining City.
Bony was awful...only scored😢when the ball hit him and deflected in. Lord he was so static it was painful to watch
I was thinking Balotelli, but super Mario has ruined his career himself.
I wouldn't say Yaya Toure, Nasri and Joe Hart were ruined by Man City I mean they did bits for City big time and 2 of those players can be regarded as City legends. It is just that they didn't suit Pep's style of play. So no, they weren't ruined by Man City they just didn't suit Pep's system. They thrived before Pep smh.
Chelsea destroy more lol
lol
But this channel doesn't hate Chelsea like it hates City😂
You appear to have forgotten Scott Sinclair, Jack Rodwell and to an extent Robinho
You shouldn’t even say Man City ruined 4 player’s careers(I said 4 bc they did ruin nasri’s, adebayors and toure’s),you should say pep guardiola ruined 4 player’s careers
No not yaya & nasri. Yaya stop playing after the cake incident. Still in the team for FOUR YEARS straight. Pellegrini didnt drop him once. And nasri just got lazy & ran away from pep. How is city ruining them ?? Phillips & rodwell i would say. Or bony
Now imagine about Chelsea and Manchester united how these two clubs are destroying a lot of talent these days😢😢
I was keen on watching the whole of the video until Joe Hart was mentioned 😂😂😂
Joe hart is a city legend. Wth this guy is smoking 😂
@@thecitizens4573 Facts. Joe Hart is a premier league legend too, courtesy of his stellar performances at city over several years. He could have won everything at City if city were lucky in the UCL
The first 4 players were ruined by Pep.
Joe Hart and Yaya Toure 💔
Video should be players ruined by Pep Guardiola 😊
Some purchases are tactics to kill another team and some are to improve the purchasing team.
Ok to say that most were ruined were wrong. Nasri had a fellout due to his behavior. Toure and Hart still had long and successful spells at City. Bravo still helped City win few Carabao cups. Mendy had tons of injuries at the start, and as for the allegations, that's not on the club. The rest are arguable. Its only Philips that I agreed.
Some clubs that have brought players down are: real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester united, arsenal, Chelsea, dortmund, psg, psv and Ajax
Pretty weak analysis. Phillips is the only one under pep who did not get a shot. The others were their own downfall or at the end of their career

Noone forced them to sign for city. Also city made Harts career. Without city hart woukd not of won any where near what he won. No shock he failed after leaving city
What Happened To Santos? We Need A Video About Them
Man Utd and Chelsea
I'm a Villa Fan and will tell you all that the Grealish you see at City is half the player he was at Villa. City use him as a decoy hardly ever passing to him. Wasted. My Xmas wish is that Villa get him back in Jan
Hardly ever passing to him?, are you taking a piss?. Surely you understand that City’s style of play is different from Villa or should I explain that to you?, but City use the left more more than the right so don’t make up shite 😹😹😹
Wilfred Boni was another shock .
The problem with going to any top EPL team is that you could spend a lot of time on the bench. These team have so much money to spend that they could field two teams. This isn’t just a Man City thing.
Phillips excelled in a avarage leeds team he is not as good as people though
Pep Guardiola was previously very rigid ,, now he becoming lenient with various types and traits of players,, kalvin is very injury prone player,, so he didn't get proper chances to prove him
And kalvin also competing for the position with world's best defensive midfielder,, that's a havoc for him currently 😢😢
Video idea: 5 clubs ruined by Owners
Manchester united so that must mean it is just a Manchester problem whatever side you go to
make one for man united and barca, u can make 3,4 teams with their players
wilfried bony Should of got a mention
Calvin Phillips lose his confidence after he did that shoulder surgery ,he seems kind of tentative on the ball every time he is tackled ,he mostly make hasty bad passes ,he is afraid of rash tackles that might damage that shoulder again ,
All the memories, all the great games, all the goals, all the trophies, ruined !!! don't make me laugh.
Help me here. Are we talking about players ruined by Manchester City or players ruined by Pep Guardiola? These statements are different.
When we talk of players ruined by Manchester City, I will start by Jack Rodwell from Everton, way before Pep. Then there's Nathan Dier from Swansea who was a huge talent there, and was no where again when he joined City.
The next player we are going to see being ruined is Mattheus Nunes, who was signed from Wolves.
Man city doesnt ruin players careers they just cant step up to citys regime,
and is there a club that has brought many talents as city?!
Barca ruined david villa sanchez, alex song, coutihno, adam traore, auba, ... tried to ruin zlatan & fabregas
Only 7 !!!...
I can name a minimum of 20 + another 30 to 40 players lives ruined by Chelsea
Bony, Phillips,fernando,mangala,bravo
Why turn out this drivel? Goal 90 - say no more
They go there for the money knowing they are not going to play regularly no sympathy
