  • We visited one of the most interesting villages in China, Bama. Bama is known as a longevity village as it is home to some of the world’s oldest residents. Many people here live for over 100 years. The area is a popular tourist spot for some of the older generation, spiking a new era of health tourism. People believe visiting here will help prolong their life and help with ailments. So, I came to the village to see what is the secret to a long life in China?

Never thought you at last visited Bama, actually I thought Guilin is the destination. There are also many remote places with similar beautiful environment in China. Which I think may not be the reason why Bama is the outstanding hometown of longevity. But I agree that some other reason has screened the local people's genes by natural selection. However if this is true, it's not a good news for the local health tourism bussiness. Therefore, the true cause may never be discovered.
