Jesus, Initially I thought that you guys were planning to leave China, but finally found out that you guys just wanted to move to another city. I am very happy with your decision to move to Chengdu, which is definitely the best and most relaxing city.
I loved Beijing too, but China is large and fun everywhere
China is safe and has best public transportation in the world. Convenience , choice , reasonable living cost are also advantages of China comparing with many countries. Only people living in China and overseas from more than 2 years respectively can realize these advantages of China.

Loved the summer palace! ❤ Also I want to experience the rickshaw ride! 🙂 There is a quite similar but a bigger version of rickshaw here. It is a two-wheeled horse-drawn carriage used here in the Philippines and was introduced here during the 18th century by the Spanish. We called it a "kalesa or calesa". Just sharing. 😊
Rickshaws is not a “ride” so to speak, not an amusement park. It has an exploitative history and was humiliating to the driver. After all, they are pulled by humans.

I recalled once a tourist guide told me: "leave a little regret in each place you visit and you will wanna revisit again".......wish you guys continue to have a good time living in ChengDu! Better get used to eating hot and spicy food!

It's really a problem that most bus stops are hardly equiped with English notice in China . Last time when I was waiting for the bus to the Fragrant Hill during my travel to Beijing several years ago, some westerners came by and asked me if that stop was the one to wait for the bus bound to the Fragrant Hill. However, I think translation apps could easily solve the issue right now.
Better learn the language if you intend to stay long.
To be fair, you won't have English notice in France nor Japan.

Beijing was the city you like，but beijing is city you dont meet！Many Chinese young people who have different dreams want to run away from Beijing or Shanghai ,which is so popular recently.What they deal with is that basic demands are not sure,which makes many people lose confidence and hope!what they pursue is ridiculous they think now.How and Where are they going?PCR ,isolation and so called relatively stationary staying have been repeated everyday.
