Has anyone had sub 4 seconds in a stock M2 Comp?
To be fair I never cared about 0-60, only to have some tire spin as it gets there.
I had one when mine was in for service and it wasn’t as quick as a f80 m3 comp and that was meant to be 4 seconds
Not 4.0. I had one of the first production run cars in mineral white and carbon fibre bits and bats all over. Not sure if they were added after market. One of the cheapest in the country and ran well. It was a bit of a go kart to be fair. Lots of rear wheel drama. I’d say a shade faster than my previous car a Jag XE supercharged, but not by much which although slower, seemed to launch better. Had it for three months but got a bit bored of it to be honest. Then traded for a ten year old Quattroporte GTS 4.7. What a dick head move that was. Oh well. Need to give it a rest, its bankrupting me.

Equal length midpipe active autowerke with resonators and a set of downpipes is what you need. I have a 2020 M4 comp and transforms the car. Also if you think the Michelin super sports are good then stick a set of PS4s on and it will transform the car again. I am only in Wigan so you are welcome to listen and see for yourselves guys
The M2C is an amazing piece of kit one of the best M cars of its era you boys look like you’re having a blast as usual I love the content.
OK boys, this is the way to do it.... As i had a M3 V8 e93 to get best launch....
Forget launch control....
1) put all M setting in Sport+
2) put gear varicosity in fastest shifts
3) press M button, now everything is at its maximum as you've set all of it up before.....
4) leave traction control on
5) go to level road, put foot on brake and press hard on gas pedal, release brake, or another way is press and hold brake, release brake and press the gas pedal to the floor, do it a few times this way and you will feel how hard to press the gas pedal to get the best out of the engine and grip to the tires...
6) now use the paddles to shift up at or close to redline, the trick is from 1st gear shift just before redline and do the same in 2nd gear into 3rd, if your good at this you will hear the tires chirp between gear change in 1st into 2nd and 2nd into 3rd
7) now rest of the gears press paddle as normal into 1st or 2nd bar into redline on the rev counter...
With traction control on you will get maximum grip and if you've done it correctly the car will move fast from 1st to 2nd and into 3rd... don't use the car launch control as the gearing and everything maybe longer and always leave traction control on....
The point is that you want to limit wheel slip (no spinning up tires) when moving off.. you want full traction, and by using the paddles and modulating the gas pedal, you feel the engine how much power you can give it, there is a sweet spot to do it correctly... once you've mastered the sweet spot you feel the difference then normal launch control...
Also with the gear shifts to fastest setting to change gear, when you do the steps above using the padals, your gear shifts will be instant, you will definitely feel the snappier gear change and get a kick in the butt of the gear changes happening...

You need traction in limited stability and not all the way off. Press the traction button and don’t hold it 👍🏼
Just tuned into this channel and really enjoy the stuff… Big RS4 lover. Unfortunately the M2 competition has already been modified to death on CZcams by SOL and Pigeon. Shame really but will still tune in.

Fastest launch is with wheels spinning. The ultimate launch is to achieve wheelspin at the lowest possible revs. This formula is the rallying benchmark because its all dependent on surfaces.
So in that case revs will vary. Cheers
Don't understand why the launch control doesn't work every time, if it comes with it then it should. I think brushing the road is going a bit far, try and get a road sweeper to clean it first next time.

Lads I’ve never had an issue with launch control. The process is
Traction off
Shift setting on bar 3 (most aggressive)
Manual shift mode
Hard on brake and throttle

Hi mate. We had M2 mode set to put gearbox in in 3 bar and manual mode 🤷🏼♂️ double checked it definitely 👍🏼

Did you know you can adjust the launch rpm via the one of the steering wheel buttons. Like the selector wheel type button? I.e. Drop the rpm so in theory you get less spin. I've only done one run in mine and I short shifted it, 4.78. Will report back once I do some more!

needs a custom exhaust along with a good air filter a remap for some extra power mid range might not help 0 to 60 but great for overtaking etc

Light up those back tyres FFS and then do your graggy time..drag strip style
Get some sand bags and put it in the boot. It might help with traction and give you a better 0-60 time
You guys should do a chart of best times per different car on those draggies, just like the topgear lap times 👍

Pretty sure you can set the revs that it holds it on prior to launch too. Go into launch mode and toggle the left hand scroll button on the wheel to alter the revs..It also says in the manual that 14 miles must be driven before doing a launch. Probably why it shat itself

Downpipes will make it sound a lot better, decent filter and MHD software, u buy the Bluetooth obd dongle download the app and upload it to your car, MHD are one of the best, loads of RnD done for there maps! Will be money well spent lads!

So I took my M2 to Bmw because I couldn’t work the launch control. After watching many CZcams vids on how to activate it i thought it must be broken . So after picking it up minus half a tank of fuel so basically I let a couple of cowboys joy ride my car all morning. When the service girl read me the note the mechanics wrote and I quote read the manual ! And That will be £100 charge. And no I didn’t pay what a bunch of piss takers even the sales guy couldn’t get it to work and told me to book it in as there must be a fault. Turns out I’m supposed to drive it for 8 miles before it will let me activate it 🤷🏼♂️
