MY FIRST OVERNIGHT ON THE CLIFF! | Shed camping in the Canadian Wilderness
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 17. 06. 2022
- The time has come for my first overnight on the cliff!! Wooo Hoooo! Join me for this adventure, with a surprise little build project thrown into the evening! Cliff-side showers and bonfire stories to be had!
I was warm enough through the night, although outside only got down to 10 degrees Celsius. Although I didn't get a whole lot of sleep, the shed was so cozy and comfy. (But I'm definitely switching my mattress! đ). All of our game cameras are still out in other areas from when Scout was missing, but I'd really like to set one up around the area to see what wildlife frequents the area.
I am pretty darned near set to start the cabin build, but as always, have many other things on my plate, so your life with me here on CZcams truly is kinda like a box of chocolates - ya never know what you're gonna get each week(ish)! đđ€·đ»ââïž.
So as always, thanks for joining me and see you next time! đ
Also - 18:36 - the moment most of us were waiting for. Whew.
The nose? Yes. The nose is good. This gorl has superior genetics for sure. Good call.
You have done a brilliant job of the shed, The door is so good and the surround, you have a beautiful view up there, Can't wait to see your cabin build starting again,
Beautimous. It is so nice to get out in the woods to get back to center and get away from things with electrical cords. Thanks for letting us go with you. You guys take care.

Great seeing you again m. Looking forward to more on the cabin huild. Take care

That place is beautiful and I love the shed door.
Michelle, it's great to see you enjoying the fruits of your labors. This video reminds us of so many things. Like how good everything tastes, the smell of the morning after a nights rain, how comfortable any kind of bed feels in the great outdoors, and of course the comfort of a great cup of coffee to start the morning off. I was looking for your chipmunk friend in this one. Maybe the dog's presence cancelled his appearance? Thanks for Sharing!
Yeah, with a dog around, they wonât visit me! Maybe next time Iâll just be out there by myself and the chipmunks will visit. đ
that shed / micro cabin is awesome. Love the energy and enginuity.
Beautiful view (including you).Cant wait to see you all set up on the cliff.Keep up the good work, have a safe and healthy journey.Greetings from Canada
The tiny cabin turned out perfect! Nicely done :)
What a beautiful view and the landscape is gorgeous. Your wood-working skills are pretty good for a bird.

I caught myself smiling throughout this whole video. Youâre an inspiration for many.đ„čđ€đ€©

oooosh, a shed cabin in the wood with a view like that, what more do you need đđ
Your Canadian wilderness views are beautiful, just like my Northern Maine views! đ€đđȘâïž You rock!
You are living the life. Thatâs an amazing spot with such peaceful views. Iâd meditate there every day if I could.
Hi. I'm from Poland and I found your film by accident. You are amazing ! What you do yourself, without the help of others, is great and deserves recognition. Watch your adventures with pleasure. Greetings
She used............to be a BLOND
I kept thinking what a lovely bespoke mini cabin made just to fit you. I have spent quite a lot of time up in the wilds of BC through forestry and planting and it brought back many memories. I have encountered many bears and a few cougars in my time in the bush but never did I see such a lovely bikini! Any loggers out there will know exactly what I mean. đ. What a lucky dog he gets to be in such a lovely place and run and smell everything and to top it off sleep in such a cosy place with his favourite human. Great video! đ
You have the courage to chase your dreams, you said you were proud of what you have accomplished and you should be proud. The shed looks great, I love how you did the door. If anybody ever says give me a good reason why Canada is a good place to live I will point them to your video. Cheers!
Wow miss, you did a hell of a job. Very impressed. Thank you for sharing!
That frontage view is unbelievable
The landscape is great too! ;)
The cougar probably saw the great work you do with the other animals and wanted to be a part of the family!
Cozy little cabin for now.Hope the wild animals keep their distances.Have a great day.Greetings from Alberta
I †it! So cozy and beautiful view looking down! I think you have an excellent setup!! You are awesome! Keep up the great work!
Excellent video! Well edited and spliced. As a fellow BC off-gridder, nicely done shed, too!
What an amazing view up there, not to mention the gorgeous mountains and lake. đ I think the Cougar slept in the shed. Lol
Looking really good youngin.
Peace and Love, Tim.
Hi from Down Under. Coffee and porridge...what a brilliant start to the new day! Now I know where all that energy comes from.
Your living my life Iâve been thinking about for a long time! Thanks for sharing to us people who canât at this moment in time. Hope I can later some day. Many blessings to you. God speed
Be/stay safe
I can only say thanks. No response necessary. You have enough channel to manage. After my dogs are bored with me in the evenings I put on your videos and they watch. Not just your dogs, though they like them too. Itâs you. I canât explain it. Please keep doing awesome.
Thank you!
It was so great to see you finally enjoy a overnight in the shed on a cliff build! Everything looks so beautiful up on you property! Your so close to Heaven, & itâs beautyâs of the lower valley, that one could talk to God for a better understanding of our world! Wow that is so neat it looks amazing there it must just be such a release and like pressing the reset button on regular life what a beautiful spot nicely done and what a great place for the puppy dogs I'm sure they enjoy it as well
Awesome! That door sure looks nice...not to mention the view. If we want time in nature, we have to share it with the wild critters. đđšđŠđđČâ
Oh dear Michelle, I love your dogs so much meanwhile - they're really nice ones - and it's nice, to see you being happy in your little shed! Keep on having fun there and spending a lovely time! The silver fox, David from Germany đđŠđâđŠșđŠźđâđŠșđŠź
Michelle, there's nothing quite like building a beautiful shelter and then spending your first night in it. I can't get enough of that view... BTW, tell that big cat that lives next door to get to work on those rats!! đđ
Right!?!
This is amazing, so nice to have alone time, thanks for sharing ...........
All the things you do are awesome!
What an absolutely gorgeous view. A 55 gallon black drum would make a great reservoir for hot showers. Like you said gravity fed.
First time viewer. I can definitely see a binge watch starting with your first vid. And yes.. dogs make everything better đđ
love the little bug out shed its a nice idea and you did a nice job building it and with a women's touch .
very relaxing video. The views from your shed are breathtaking.
Most people dream about your overnight while stuck in the rat race !
Live the dream Michelle and stay safe and warm đoh, the shower was nice đ đ
Porch cover looks great! You should make it permanent with a metal roof. Oh! and your construction is not strange! It's genius!
You are a very handy girl, your shed looks Great! And brave too, great videos.
I just love to see a hound work their nose.. great content.. love the sleeping quarters.. idea for table, back of door, two hinges, and stick to hold up a folding table.. keep stick on the side when table is down and out of the way..
It's funny how when anyone assembles a chair they always have to try it out to make sure it works of course. You were definitely correct Riley was not impressed. lol O well, they do get over it, LOL ....are we going for a walk norton are we going for a walk? Your dogs just put a smile on my face. See ya have a good one.
Great video and shed build. You make this look so easy! Just discovered your channel and subscribed. Greetings from Alberta đ
Wow, your amazing! Great job! Very beautiful as well! đ„°

I'm jealous also and I love the views too not only the nature views but she's absolutely beautiful, amazing
How do you not have millions of subscribers?
The makeshift awning just over the porchâŠ.. just because? âAwesomeâ
Favorite part of the video was too many to list but that collective sigh after assembling your porch chair says it all!
Enjoy your videos a lot~
Please Continue being Amazing!!!đđ»
I think that was the only time I sat in it!
@@michygoss7148 Was definitely a sigh of satisfactionâŠ. If only briefly ~đđ»
I really enjoy how you see an issue and just tackle it. The world needs more solutions than complaints.
You truly inspire!
Another banger of an episode! Seriously, a pleasure and love how you end the video.
Popped up in my feed, love your property, beautiful. Your capabilities, excellent. My wife and I own mountain top property, but nothing like the scenic views of yours. Thank you for your videos, I will be watching more.
If you want the front shed permanent, cut your rafter poles so they are supported by your back rafters, (AKA sitting on top.) Make sure they're cut to shed water. Screws aren't the best fasteners for outside because they're too brittle, nails are actually better though harder to use at times. If you do it well, it will last as long as the rest of the roof. Good Luck.
The shed is awesome...a pat on the back is definitely in order! All the best to you, Steve and the dogs...
Love the little shed ,your great on the chainsaw ,and there's nothing like an outdoor shower nice love the video x
What An Incredible Woman!
Simply amazing... an inspiration.
Hello, I'm new to your channel. This was a great (and inspiring) video! So sorry to hear about your dog that drowned. You obviously give them a great deal of love. A couple suggestions, if you want... 1) heavy duty metal screen to cover the air holes in your fire barrel (to lessen risk of big embers escaping), 2) a motion sensor trail camera to see what lurks while you're inside sleeping (they can even alert your phone to watch from inside - perhaps a closable mail slot-sized opening on each side that doesn't have a window, 3) an apparatus to hoist your food/trash out of wild animal reach, and 4) consider a solar panel on the roof to charge your phone (perhaps even tool batteries). You can build a false-front log siding around the sides to hide it from view from the ground. Have fun, and thank you for being a healthcare hero! Bye, Riley!
Your shed/cabin looks great . You have an incredible ability to build in the wilderness. Don't think the cougar will bother you with all the dog scent around .But wouldn't hurt to have some firepower at hand .
As much of a country gal she is I'd bet money she has a đ«
Exactly, hope she has a .44 close at hand.
@@larryross1819 Think she will be more traditional with a slug gun.
I love the authenticity of this video. I find that strong coffee and cream helps fight the gloomy rain.
Very cool cabin! What an awesome view!
Get a empty spray bottle fill with water to the top leave at least 1 nich off the top than add 1 table spoon of dish soap Dawn, add 1 teaspoons of lavender oil and mix it all together in the bottle. This is spider & small insect repellent it's human & pet friendly. I spray this everywhere inside & outside my house. You should put everything in a plastic totes everytime you leave so you don't have rats in your stuff. Love your lil cabin. Keep living out loud. đđâŁïž
That is an absolutely beautiful place and view. Can't wait to see what you do with the cabin build.
I build that but with 23 inches pallet wood lol I think I messed up...
Well done Michelle, that magnificent view never gets old
I love your videos and way of life.. thanks for sharing. â„ïžđđŒ
I don't usually watch anything to do with building stuff because that's all I've done for 40 years but you have all kinds of things going on in your videos. I enjoyed this and you rock on every level
New to the channel, but I really enjoy your content so far. I love what you're doing overall, and you have a fantastic sense of design aesthetics as well. The door on that shed/cabin is freakin' gorgeous.
P.S. squash soup with rice beans and corn added in? That's not weird at all, that sounds AMAZING. That will make you strong like Popeye eating spinach!
Beautiful view from your retreat đđŒâ€ïžđșđžđ
Always a great time watching your adventures and a wee bit of craziness at times....LOL. I'm so happy that you opted out of playing with the cougar poop with your bare hands !! Stay safe out there , Sweetie ! : )
... A great job on the cabin /shed project ... love seeing how all the dogs get along so well .... Being laws keep you from being safely armed ,, at least keep a few canisters of Bear Spray and an air horn ... there are certainly worse things out there than a firearm ....Sure a background check and a safety course to acquire a carry permit ,, your safety is entirely on you ..... criminals and early released felons will certainly be armed .......... How does that government think the lands there were settled ?? ...
You get a gold starđ for the shed.
It is so cute. I love the view you have there.
You are awesome,
the dogs are awesome and your' video is awesome.
What more could you ask for?
Thanks for sharing your' adventures with us.
You did an amazing job on that âshedâ itâs terrific. Canât wait until I watch the cabin videos
Michelle I'm rather new to your channel and I love what I'm seeing so far. The view from the shed is incredible and you've done a great job on the build. Congrats!! Look forward to more of your videos. Makes me want to complete my schedule of things and get myself and my significant other out to Oregon and complete my dream as you are doing. Blessings to you all. đđđđȘ¶
The views from up their are amazing! Awesomeâ€
Hi again Mitchy, absolutely beautiful, love your blog your amazing talent, wow god bless your wonderful skills, happy camping đđâ€ïž
Beautiful view and nice spot for your build.
50 years ago my Dad did projects like this. The first thing was a decent driveway in to the site. Second was a prefabricated 8' x 12' shed. It was made of 5 - 8' x 12' panels and 2 - 8' x 8' panels. He built the shed in the 1950s and used it until he died in 1976. It all just bolted together. Once we had the floor panel set, it only took an afternoon to put the rest up and install the woodstove and sink. A couple of cots with sleeping bags and we were ready for weeks of clearing, digging a cellar hole, laying the foundation, and building the house.
The cover over the deck is an excellent idea. Get a boonie hat and a head net or the bugs will drive you buggie. Very nice stove. I bought one of those with the pot and pan set in 1978. One of the best portable stoves.
Make a resetting trap for the rodents. A steel 5 gallon bucket with a paint stirring paddle can work well. I caught 30 mice in a week with my first one. Put soapy water in the bottom so that it doesn't stink. Good Luck, Rick
You're a brilliant young lady. Very knowledgeable and capable. Those beams above your shower station I'm sure wasn't an easy task getting anchored in place.
