- This is the ultimate workshop that has been years in the making, and construction is finally done! I've learned so much through this process as well as some valuable lessons. There's so much potential inside the workshop and I'm excited to see what the future holds. Enjoy!

Great job, Ben! Hard work and perseverance always pays off. Even with the "technical difficulties." Can't wait to see what your up to next.
This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection czcams.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
A year!!! Wow, I applaud your patience. I called my inspections department in Texas today to ask about building a similar shop but two stories with an office upstairs. They told me about the required setbacks then said to draw a floor plan and list my framing, insulation, and electrical plans then get cracking. That was it for the approval process. After that it’s up to me to pass code. Seems way more efficient that way. Provide the guidance, but put the responsibility/liability on the owner.
I remember the first videos of the concrete pour. You doing backflip on the slab... so much time has passed. And SO fast!
It is AMAZING to see everything again in one single video.
Congrats for the great accomplishment and for the channel.
And I LOVE your dogs!
Awesome, so happy for you guys and the adorable doggies!! Looking forward to your next project. Peace and good fortune and good health to you and your family.
The ending of the build is one of the best depictions of stuff that really happens to some of us nothing goes according to plans some of the time. Congrats on the new building it will be worth all you endured, God bless
Great job documenting the process. Enjoy your new workshop, it's awesome!
You should be very proud of yourself and what you you’ve built for your passion! Congratulations
No matter what, I wish I had one! Congratulations! It’s a great space!
@Ben Tardif, Regarding the mention of Chicken Coop. Incorporate a running water stream or just filtered water in some shape or form with surface skimming. It will prolong the usage of the water and reduces stale water. Which is better for any animal or person. Basically, avoid going with "Bowl of water". Plus, if you make it a birdbath style, they can potentially clean themselves to a degree. Which will reduce the feather dust, which can cause allergies.
That is so awesome bro. I’ve been watching your videos from the first day. The whole kitchen, living and other indoor remodels. To now your work shop. So happy for you man. The office is the coolest part of your shop so far.... keep up the great project. Much love from Cali
Thank you for your attention to detail. You hit the nail on the head in weatherization it. Two thumbs up.
Congratulations on your completed work shop and guest house. Job well done!!!!!!
I watched your kitchen remodel, living remodels and was impressed with your work. Wifey should be extremely happy.
I watched your beginning work shop videos and wondered if and when you would have a completed video. Great job with all of your work. Please continue your videos.
I was with you watching you building workshop step by step good job 👏🏻
Now that looks awesome and I hope to be able to build a similar project in the years to come , congratulations on your patience and hard work can’t wait to see what you do with it !
Looks fantastic, well done! Love the "technical difficulties" at the end - makes me feel less clumsy 😁
Great job man. Super excited to see what the future holds!!
Congrats, Ben! Now your creative juices can have free reign. Can't wait to see where and what it'll bring!
OMG! What a good job you did!
I felt Your excitement about the future! Love it!
Looks amazing! Gutters would really help. Even if you’re in CA and have concrete on some sides, gutters just help so much. Keeping water off the sides of the building and away from your foundation is a huge deal:)
Great job! I enjoyed the technical difficulties you shared because almost every single one of them would happen to me without a doubt. They made me feel a little bit better about myself that I’m not the only one with those kinds of problems.
I did Hardi siding on my home as well and studied their install manual for weeks. I did it all myself. New shear wall, house wrap, sealed all penetrations etc. It was 100% worth it doing it myself.
Congrats on completing such a large project and taking every chance to learn and save money by putting sweat equity in your shop. Super impressed and looking forward to seeing your projects.
That was thoroughly satisfying to watch. Thank you for putting such a detailed video together.
What an amazing job. This is so inspiring. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see what's next.
amazing work, love the building. I really wanna have one for myself but to turn it into a gym. thank you for sharing
Love the finished shop, and the technical difficulties at the end was great, thanks for the great video.
This was a great build to watch. Hopefully we can see many projects from your new shop. I would have made the ceiling of your raised office go all the way to the ceiling of the shop to give more headroom, unless you’re using the space above for storage.
Also, the brighter, bluer light bulb will make the yard brighter and, if it’s an LED, should be more energy efficient.
Dude, you're my idol. I'm so impressed by this (and yes, I saw the "technical difficulties" at the end). You should be very proud!
Nice work on the shop Ben! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍👌😎JP
I cannot believe the energy you have and the amount of work you do completely by yourself. Its impressive! I enjoy your videos and applaud the quality of your work!!
Great job, love your out-takes and dogs.
Ben, GREAT JOB. You should be proud of your masterpiece. I love the dogs! Thanks for sharing.
i love how i had to rewatch the part where his dogs were playing cause the first time, i wasnt even listening, i was just watching the adorable cute af dogs
Ben, great idea with the slider doors to save ceiling space. Added that to my list for my project. Thanks
A cost breakdown would be awesome!
Gosh I love this so much! Guest house AND workshop?? Yes please!! The barn doors and the exterior light fixtures are my favorites!
Love the workshop! Even more so love the fact you have a Black Mouth Cur pup! We have one as well and they’re great dogs!! Love the video!
Your "Technical Difficulties" were funny as hell. And that French cleat tool organizer,"WOW". Very nice!
Glad to see it all paid off in the end. All the work, money and worries. BTW Love the little Corgi, I had 2 of them. They are characters and great help in the shop.
That is a great looking barn! I am in the process of finishing my barn workshop right now too so I get how excited you must be!
Very satisfying build video. Thank you.
We are in the progress of converting a space for an in-law unit. Always slower than anticipated. Take care.
What an epic project and accomplishment - congrats! Thanks for including the technical difficulties.
I really like your videos! A big thumbs up 👍🏻 You´re very clever guy, Ben! 💯
Awesome journey mate and what a transformation. Keep up with the great videos 👍👍
Loved the technical difficulties clips. We all encounter them as they are part of the job. Well done on the shop.
I can't imagine a workshop without windows. That was the first thing I put in when converting our storage shed into a work space. But thanks for the fun video. Looks like a huge job!
Good job! It's been super fun watching you tackle this, I can't wait to see what you do in the future!
As an aside, are you gonna be doing a video on the guest house? I'm dying to see what it looks like in there
Really nice workshop barn ! Very nice work. And the details, especially the lamps outside. Really nice
Congratulations.Great job. Enjoy what you have built.
Man! Congratulations, your workshop looks amazing! Greetings from Brazil.
remember kids, always clear your ladders before moving them, you don't want to get beaned in the head with a 5-10ish LB drill or other tool now do ya?
Get hangers on those tools. Connected to your belt instead of on the ladder.
Glad I'm not the only one who has a jumping drill driver, and the mud, at least you didn't fall in it....I have! Beautiful building, Congrats!!! Thanks for sharing :)
Ben excellent job on the workshop! Actually one of the best I have seen on youtube!
What a fantastic build, it is truly a Dream Workshop, I'm sure you will be spending countless hours in it making stuff. I had to smile at about 6:30 after the completion of the internal insulation. I then realised the insulation was to keep the heat out and not in! I'm live in a much colder climate. 5⭐'s Ben
What a great space. One can only wish for a workshop space like that. Amazing!
oh honey bless your heart lol these bloopers. so glad you got your inspection and build in. excited to see what the future holds :)
You can cut a piece of wood trim for those lighting spots that will sit over the siding. Just find the angle of the side and mark it up on the trim and cut, screw, caulk and paint
Fantastic job Ben. I am green with jealousy. Can't wait to see what that creative mind of yours comes up with next.
Great video and the end (tech difficulties) was so original and honest! Great job!
Congratulations, my friend...!!
Nicely done...!!
Good for you and well deserved sir. Great job
Well done Ben! Be watching from the very start!!!
Yes, amazing love it👍
This was inspiring, because I’m almost on year two of the building my dream workshop… I’ve been filming the whole process and plan to put it on CZcams, but when you’ve been doing it for two years and they’re still work left it’s really nice to see that I’m not alone. Thank you for sharing.
It’s definitely a process! Please let me know when you start putting out videos about it. I’d like to watch!
You're very talented!! I bet your parents are Proud!! Your little Corgi is the Cutest! Huge backyard!!
Congratulations! Can't wait for all of the future projects!
Same!

Hi Ben.. Nice work right from scratch. !
Perhaps you can give us some hint on how to place the different the tools in the workshop, for the better use and exploitation of either the tools and the space?
Building something extremely similar myself (no codes in my area) and I’ve been doing every piece myself and the ending bloopers are the most relatable thing ever lol
Great vid. Love your shop and all the aspects of construction. Without a doubt the best "technical difficulty" is at 17:26. LOLOL.
👍Great narration. Technical Difficulties at the end was thoughtful so others don't think they're the only ones with "difficulties."
Ben, you need to wear a tool belt, it saves leaving your drill/driver on top of a ladder. Great job, very impressed.
Excellent job on your video work, and very informative.
Great job, Ben. All the hardwork has paid off. And loved the technical difficulties section too 😅.
The last part of the video is the best that’s how construction really goes ...great job.
Brother thank you for the inspiration. You’re a beast. Ty
(First video of yours that I watch) Awesome job. I'm very detail oriented myself and I can tell you are also. The technical difficulties at the end are hilarious...been there done that. Congrats! Will subscribe an follow!
good job, nice to include the difficulties!
Thanks for sharing! Great job!
Beautiful work!! I’m a builder as well. Something you might not appreciate about your framing: it looks like you put your plywood up effortlessly. Without cutting weird shavings off and making cuts that aren’t square. That means those guys weren’t off by even a 32nd of an inch 👍
Great job look's great I'd love it, have a nice day and Stay Safe. Brian UK !!!.
Wow! Sweet build. This is my dream! Absolutely beautiful shop! I plan to put a lift in mine. Great build. 🍒
That's a ton of work. Well done!!!
A lot of step ladder have a round hole on the top that's a few inches in diameter and is specifically designed as a spot to hold a drill.
It is beautiful. Best of luck!
great build. can't wait to see what you turn the space into
Great video, luv the ending...and yes...you do good work!
Congrats! It looks great. I hope you installed stops to keep the barn doors from rolling off the tracks. Don't ask how I know that's a good idea.
Nice job! Outtakes being the icing!
Like the bleeps and blunders at the end. Looking forward to my own profanity laden bleeps and blunders when I build my workshop... hopefully this Spring.
Great job, so happy for you 👍🏼
You think it's completed....you will think of other things to add! Awesome job!
omfg your dogs are just too adorable LOL. I can imagine the shenanigans they get into!! Beautiful shop! One day I wish to do very similar myself.
Great job! It looks super awesome!
I am glad you survived!! WHOA!! Haven't watched your channel for a while since you were working on the house!! Yikes!! Looks AMAZING!!
I absolutely love everything about this video! I want my future to look like this , please be my mentor! Thank you so much for documenting this and sharing it with us. I wish you the best for your future projects.
Thanks for the LAUGHS, Ben! Oh ya, and the great ideas to incorporate into my new Workshop as well!
So glad for you. Wish everybody could have the dream workshop (or even a decent enough).
Watching this building is awesome. Great job. I am jealous
Te pasaste maquinon!!! 👏👏, a mi gusta la construcción, pero a ti... Vos sos una maquina!!!, entretenido tu canal, el trato respetuoso con los perros👏👏💪💪💪🙋♂️
This looks amazing. Barn doors are exceptional!
I just want to give you a really big shout out for showing all the oopsies at the end of the video. A lot of us have the toxic trait of seeing a summarized youtube video and think "I can do that" but the process is always riddled with unforseen mistakes and dangerous situations. Really helps us give some pause and learn to be kind to oneself when issues come along with the project and most importantly be SAFE over quick progress. subbed!
